Morning all. Kittykat sorry there's no way out to church this morning. There was no detour? Wow. Glad you made enjoyable use of time. And glad the party was a success.
Trissie if anyone can do it you can. It does I'm sure help that kids are older this time round but maybe they require more time carpooling to activities etc.
Frenchie I so hope you can get the work challenges dealt with soon. You should not have to deal with that. I hope you get a good day with the boys.
We had a nice evening last night. Small group. Ds and ddil. Ds groomsman friend and a couple other older single guys. And my nephew. I'm thankful he still enjoys hanging out with his cousin. Pizza and we should have tested the entertainment center. Ddil ended up picking up a few things from their place to make it work. Dgs had a nice long nap during supper and setup. I got lots of snuggles and sweet smiles.
I think I'm going to have a soak this morning . And then I can do a few things and prep for church. I am going to play with the other couple today and see how that goes.
It's pouring rain. Or was. Very wet out. See how it goes what I get to later.

It sounds like you and DH are able to work things out, trissie!
Me too L Ann! I want some crabs. Enjoy them for all of us.
Sorry about the sleep, FFB. I generally still sleep well, but I went through menopause pretty easily. Maybe when you feel like you have a little bandwidth in your life you could write down the payroll incidents. If it's disturbing to relive, which I imagine it is, maybe just write the main points for 5 minutes? (There are incidents in my life that I wish I had written about closer to the time they occurred.)
Ugh on the race keeping you from church, Kitty.
Glad you had a nice evening with the young people, Lauralind and dgbaby!
Last night, dh and I had a nice dinner out. Unfortunately, my stomach was not very happy about an hour later.
I think it's OK now - we shall see. I touched on most of my goals yesterday - finished the payroll end of session tasks and started going through my Mom's stuff that is in a small duffle bag in our bedroom. There are mainly cards she received over the years at the previous NH. I will save some for change of address cards. Also got clean sheets on the bed - washed the mattress pad as a bonus. I also found a forgotten basket of laundry to fold and p/a.
Today, I'd love to skip church -- but that's not going to happen. This afternoon, I hope to go for a long walk or a short jog, continue working on the above goals, and visit Mom with dh. I suppose we're hosting Sunday dinner tonight. M and dd26 are out of town, so the max will be 6 people.
Goals for the Long Weekend
1. Repot baby orchid
2. Mom's change of address cards
3. Go through pile on desk
4. Go through Mom's stuff in our room - wip

trissie, I've googled the med, I'm not sure it would be safe to drive a car with this med. I've read advice about melatonin too. I think it's more estrogen related, but I may have to look for more info. Is your sleep pattern now batck to "normal" ? I mean, on the nights you can sleep as much as you want ?
kittykatt, yes I'm taking notes. We are weather twins again.
Hi L.Ann ! I need to walk too.
laurlind glad you had a nice family time. Saving money by living in a trailer sounds a good idea, as long as the baby is still very young.
helia good luck handling the cards and managing address changes. You're right, taking notes as soon as possible after disturbing events is better than waiting. I should take some time tonight to write in more details.
Thank you all for your sympathetic words about my lousy payroll situation. I'm finally going to write an email and kind of agreeing with MrNG on the wording.
Now to enjoy some sunshine and a walk, not far from home. It's great weather for a walk.
TADAs
prepare a few payroll meals
start a lol
lunch ready, eaten
lol out
TODO
go outside ! get some air and some sunlight !
some quiet time at the end of the day
a to-do list for the week

Enjoy the crab feast, L.Ann!
I'll be joining you outside in the garden this afternoon, FFB.
Helian, I'm sorry you didn't feel well after your meal yesterday. Fingers crossed you feel better soon!
Laura, how lovely to have snuggles with your DGS. There was some kind of detour, but it was *very* long and convoluted, and when I looked on the map posted online, it disappeared off the edge, and then reappeared several cm below, without any indication of how it got there!
WTG on the downstairs storage area, Trissie! Today's lunch was a pot roast of silverside, with carrots, mushrooms and onions (when the meat was relaxing, I simmered the juices with red wine and stock on the hob, so it made a nice gravy) roast potatoes and asparagus, followed by fresh fruit salad and cream. I'm just sitting quietly for a bit to digest, before I go outside!

L.Ann, being landlocked, we don't really get crabs here - maybe in a restaurant... but I had fresh crab in Thailand many many years ago and it was lovely!
hi Peaches!
kittykatt, that's one mouth watering menu there! Do you always have a roast on Sundays?
Frenchie, I think that as long as you take the meds in the evening and get some 6+ hours of sleep, you'd be safe to drive. I did, and I was much more alert with the meds than after a sleepless night, for sure! My sleep is unfortunately still slightly messed up - I am a VERY light sleeper and DH is a VERY hard snorer! :-/ The one benefit of him being gone is that I actually sleep better, but then again I wouldn't want separate bedrooms even if we had the space (his parents have separate bedrooms, ever since their kids moved out. DFIL is a bad snorer too!)
helia, have a good visit with your mom! Is the effect of her adequate hydration holding?
DS just told me that on top of everything else, he has a big German project due this week. And an English test tomorrow, and a writing assignment. Aint' gonna yell at him, but duh!

Blue crabs are a big Maryland thing, Trissie. My county is a narrow peninsula with a river down each side and the Chesapeake Bay at the south. At one time being a waterman was one of the biggest industries.
