Cathy I was not shown how to clean mom did it while we were at school.
In beauty school after high school they had to show me how to clean the toilet.
I can home and told mom about that & she needed to teach my younger sisters so she did try at least.
She had stacks of books etc. in the living room and we had to do a bit push before people came over to clear out stuff in the main part of the
house.

I'm so thankful for the P & P system to help me now.
I just swept the carport steps and entry way.
Listened to a pod cast in segments of time slots.
Spiffed up the kitchen washed up my dishes.

Puttering in the back yard is therapeutic.
I pruned a few branches in the way when I do my walk about in the morning.
Was going to pick some apples but will wait until it's shady or in the a.m.

So it turns out to be therapeutic is you are teary eyes to call your mom I have realized after getting
some calls from dd the past few weeks for this & that angry boss, $ not stretching things like that.

That sounds promising Harriet! Great you're hungry again!

Great workout today. Stopped a pharmacy on the way home to pick up script, and got the car washed. Dh called and had stayed at the office until three, and was going to our river friends for a boat ride. Since I was already hot and sweaty I passed on going.

As I was leaving the gym there was a red tailed hawk sitting on the porch rail eating a bunny, and there were mockingbirds trying to drive him away too. When I heard the birds squawking at him I figured it was a predator or snake so went looking. The mockingbirds kept diving at home, sometimes making contact but he was going to finish his substantial meal. Pretty amazing for downtown.

I was not taught how to clean a house either… my mom did it all and I was clueless on how to run a home. P&P saved me and it is the reason I taught my son!

LadyM, thanks for asking — I think I’m okay, just tired. Late nights, early mornings. I’ve been sooo sleepy lately. My stomach has also been kinda stirred up this week.
I haven’t talked to dmom today or yesterday, so I’m kinda worried about her, but it’s not good to call her after supper time. She goes to bed early.

I was going to finish vacuuming today and dgs said “why? The house isn’t dirty.” With that, I lay down on the couch and went to sleep. Sigh.

EDITING to say --
Dmom called me a little after I posted above. She is "okay" but has not heard from blood work, etc. Doctor is closed on Thursdays, so I'm not surprised. But I told her to call the doctor's office if she has not heard anything by lunch time -- so she can make an appt to see him again if she needs to. She said she is so weak she can't stand to hang her clothes in the closet (this may be the problem with the right shoulder.) She is hanging her clothes on the door knob. She said she figured I'd be out there for something eventually, and I could put them in the closet. Sigh. Can we say "feeling guilty"?

OTOH -- as I've mentioned here previously, I can't sit down without falling asleep, so I'm not in great shape myself, I guess.
However, I don't think I've had my B-12 supplement since maybe Tuesday. ALL my routines are totally off when DGD is here. She is just very high maintenance. She wants my attention all the time. DGS spent most of the day playing on the computer -- setting up countries and plotting imaginary election results. When I say he's playing on the computer, he is not playing video games -- he's always on some sort of geography site and playing "what if" with wars or boundaries or elections.
I slept a long while this afternoon and then he and I went to Subway for supper.

My sleep app says I slept 4 hours and 50 minutes last night, and 3 hours and 41 minutes this afternoon. (I know the afternoon is slightly incorrect, because I know I was awake during some of that time. I was just lying on the couch. It says I'm averaging 6 hours and 17 minutes over the last 7 days.

I'm thinking sometimes, dh has been gone almost 14 months. Shouldn't I be doing better? Can I still be blaming my exhaustion and lack of desire to do anything on "grief"? Seems like I should have my life together a little better. It's not that I'm crying all the time, although typing this is bringing tears to my eyes... I don't feel depressed exactly; I just don't feel anything, and I'd just like to sleep for a long long time.

Tomorrow, I have three main goals, and I will try to do them. Maybe, as my good friend suggested to her cousin whose mother passed away -- maybe I should concentrate on doing ONE thing. Just ONE thing.
#1 priority will be typing the church meeting notes.
#2 finish vacuuming the hard floors (even though DGS doesn't think it's dirty)
#3 clean bathrooms -- this is really just a weekly s/s -- I'm not doing the deep cleaning at all.

Since I posted earlier, I have done 15 minutes Walk away the Pounds, and I have done my Bible reading and night time routine. I'm going to read for a little while, and try to fall asleep a little earlier. I'm sitting in bed and it is just now 11:30 pm, so I"m making progress.
