Good morning
We made it home. Dh gets a complementary stay at various casino hotels so we used those to stay at two different ones just to get away while dd2 could petsit. Had a nice time “antiquing” (found a mix of cheaper thrift stores and high end pieces way out of my range) in the different cities. I’m not sure if this is good or bad but the food was way too good and I feel so sluggish. Now back to routines reinvigorated.

Trissie, thanks for the start. Glad T is feeling better. Pork in milk sounds intriguing.

helia, just a disclaimer - I am not using that recipe, but a different variation (with thyme and garlic in slow cooker), and since slow cookers make thinner sauce than the oven, at the end I remove the meat, run an immersion blender to even things out, and thicken it with a bit of cornstarch. But it's GOOD! and slow cooker meals make dinner a much smoother affair.

Little Bit’s actual birthday is tomorrow, helian. Sounds like you had a nice get away, Bama. I have been toying with adding Noom to my diet routine, helian. I also need to try to figure out how to add something different in the exercise arena. My body is too used to the things that I do and has adjusted for them.

helia, I love garlic and I love thyme. Thyme's probably my most favourite cooking herb and I have not one, but two thyme plants in my garden

Everything I get for Little Bit stays at my house according to DD38, Trissie, so I have to be careful! I got bug collecting things 90% off at the end of last summer. So she is getting a bug net and a bug house you can put insects in. I also got a butterfly house with a coupon for caterpillars you can raise and then let the butterflies go. I ordered the caterpillars to be delivered on Monday. Then my friend I walk with decluttered her water table to my house and I got a new bag of sand for the sand box. The main gift was a week at summer camp…. Her parents do two weeks and I do one…. Which is sort of a gift for Little Bit but also a gift for me.
