You're being really focused for so early in the morning, Bama. WTG with your TaDas!
That's quite funny, trissie! Thanks for the humorous start. :)
Nice to see you lucylee! That sounds like a stressful drive! There's a bridge to Canada close to here that if one doesn't get off the interstate at the correct exit, one will end up at the US-Canada border. Several years ago, I had a foreign student who was visiting Detroit with his wife, and he didn't see the exit sign (English was not his first language). They ended up at the border by accident. Of course, they didn't travel with their passports on them. It took a couple hours and phone calls by the border guards, but in the end, thankfully, they were able to return safely. Not what they had expected to do with their afternoon.
Did you get in some gardening this morning, Kitty?
Sleep well and see you later, Doggedly.
Enjoy your walk outside, L Ann. Do you have warm temps this week where you are?

I'm up and the sun is shining. It's another gorgeous summer day here! High of 83*F forecast.

Breakfast with AC was cancelled last night. She is sick; her dh called and left me a message. That means I have nothing on my calendar for the day - but lots to do. An empty calendar square is nice after yet another highly scheduled weekend. Sundays are the worst; I don't know how to get out from under highly scheduled and social Sundays that don't feel very sabbath-y. I need to think about that.

Main Goals for Today
1. Jog
2. Visit Mom - I think I'll go around 1 (after lunch and before she naps)
3. Payroll: finish AR Exam
4. Finish the study project - declutter payroll books
5. Finish laundry

Next:
- back exercises
- dress to jog
- jog

TaDas!
- up; weighed self - up a bit
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website

WEEKLY ACTIVITIES
Mon Visit Mom/ Dinner on my own (dh out with work people)
Tue KSJ get together/ Grocery Store/ 6:30 host Tuesday dinner
Wed
Thu 11? - haircut in other town/ Dinner on my own (can't remember what dh is doing)
Fri - Visit Mom/ Ys in town! (See them this night? - not sure)
Sat - 8 - 5K run?/ See Ys! (Friends from TX; KY was my BFF when we lived in Austin)/ Dinner out with Ys/ 8 - Concert at local venue with Ys
Sun See Ys?/ PACK for week long trip (dh's week long writing workshop with a publishing company) + CG1 camping trip/ Drive to Chicago

M - grocery store in IL
F - pack up the car/ drive to campground on Lake Michigan - CG1 camping trip
Sa - make crepes at campground for 25-ish people (our CG1 - over half are kids and teens)
Sun pack up from camping and drive home

General Brain Dump

MOM
- shelves for her room?

- check on dentist: when will they be at the NH next? -- called; didn't get a call back

Payroll
- update exam record

Good morning, helian and LAnn.
Dh was a little stressed but he’s never late or sick so he’s okay now that he’s at work.
I would freak out if that happened to me, helia, missing an exit in an unknown area.

Waiting to renew my drivers license. It got kicked out when I came Friday so had to schedule and am getting the star today. The crowd is crazy. Hope to get out soon.

Oh my Trissie I laughed so hard. At first I was like, Trissie how risqué of you then reread with the word Mississippi in mind and burst out laughing that is a good one. I grew up on the Ohio River which flows into the Mississippi and my son lives on Mississippi in Minneapolis. I would love someday to take a riverboat cruise on the Mississippi.

KK does your cat pull your hair to wake you up? What would happen if you locked the cats out of the room would they howl at the door?

Getting packed this way to head to England again. We won't be down South this time so no time for a visit, mostly up north. We are going to London for 1 full day. We are taking another canal boat out of Ellesmere for a week. Bringing C with us this time. We plan to go to Alton Towers and Stratford upon Avon and Liverpool afterwards.

I have many things to accomplish today and I need to think in 3's.

Put load of wash in, strip bed, shower and dress and eat
Put on fresh sheets, clean out top closet, clean out sock drawer
Flip laundry and start another load, remake guest bed and store linens
Gather mail, pay bills, call att, print itinerary
Flip laundry and wash sheets, towels and bath matt.
Lay out clothes to pack, pack and refresh toiletries, pack backpack for flight
Make copies of all passports and paperwork, leave 1 copy here for R.

Packing list
2 paor of zip off pants for boat plus shorts and other pants
Sweat shirts
Tshirts and shirts
1 to 2 sun dresses for theaters.
Underware and extra bra
Socks, compression socks for traveling
Extra glasses and toppers
Toilet kit and 2 weeks of Zepbound
Pajamas for boat and gown for air bnbs
2 pair of sandals, 1 pair of tennis shoes
Bathing suit (will not use probably).
9 outfits total I can wear twice, tempted to bag each outfit
Laundry soap sheets and dryer sheets in case we can wash
Sleep mask and neck pillow for plane. Sleep aide to put me to sleep on plane.

We fly out of Chicago at 8:30 pm (9:30 our time) and arrive in London at 10:30 a.m. which is 5:30 am our time. So we try to sleep most of the time we are on the plane. We then catch another to Manchester. Train to Ellesmere for 2 nights before boarding boat on Friday for a week. We will grocery shop day before announcing host said he would give us a ride to marina which is nice. He said it is only a 15 minute walk but with luggage that is annoying. We still need to figure out airport to Ellesmere, we rent a car in Ellesmere when we get off boat..

So exciting best get a move on. We drive out of here at 1 pm tomorrow to have time to stop at Goodwill in Indy and HuHot on way to Chicago so we can arrive 3 hours early. We will probably train to the airport or we may park near o'hare. We have a free place we park to go to midway but o'Hare is different. But we are gone 19 days so that gets expensive.

Morning all. It's off whack for me too. Must be some major updates to the power grid this was the secret of 3 planned overnights outages. Out from 10 pm to 7am. Oof. I tried to put myself together without a shower. Hard to do when I took melatonin again. I need a different sleep solution it makes my eyes feel stuck shut and hard to wake up.

I've set off the washing machine. And dw is waiting to start. And slept till 615 so all my morning is off.

Need to leave in 20 min. Then today is awards day and ds is getting something. I should skip out of work for a bit and go see it. Kinda think it's going to depend on how much freight and if we have enough staff. 🤔

My sister and I did that in Vancouver last summer too. Though a freeway tunnel. I don't know what we did but 3 times back through it trying to get the right direction but we landed a nice little waterfall park at the end of it that was worth the effort. City driving. My sister did such a great job.

Anyway I think I will just buy lunch and go to the awards thing. If it takes 2 hours and there's a giant freight load maybe it will be a 2 hour break and work till 6? We'll see. Better not be missing anyone today.

Well, I am glad ye all liked my Misssissippi joke, it is a bit borderline, but it's just spelling! :-)
Waving to L.Ann, helian, CostumeLady, Lucy Lee, Bama, Dogged and kittykatt! and lauralind!

My day has been going so great that it's 4:30pm and I've just had lunch. And I've been up since 5:30! I was called to testify at court, about the accident we witnessed last summer. Got there (a 40 minute drive), barely on time, sat down in front of the assigned court room and nothing. A while later, I went to check - a different name was on the list! So I went to check with the office and the hearing was cancelled! Due to some mishaps, I was not informed at all :-(
But at least I met a friend who lives in that town for a quick coffee and picked up some paperwork from an public office that is seated there (that I have been meaning to go pick up for a year now). Got home, logged back to work, used my lunchbreak to make a cake for DH and do some cleaning, then had a late online meeting till 4pm, and here I am at 5pm making my list!

TaDas
- morning madness
- drive to court
- meet a friend
- pick up paperwork
- work
- CP committee online meeting
- make a cheesecake for DH
- clean DS13's room
- clean DBD's room
- clean twins' room
- load of lights sorted, washed and flipped to dryer
- load of darks sorted and in washer

ToDos
- morning routine
- rescue kitchen
- fold towels
