I have to push myself back into wanting to get things done. I find when I get frustrated that I tend to back off and loose focus. I will eat lunch and then force myself outside.
all my work is outside.

Hi, everyone.
Nancy, so nice you and your dd will have a day of working together around the house.
Hope the appt goes well, Mystery. So nice to hear about the event.
blessed, what a hard decision. That's just not helpful in so many ways. Thanks for a cheerful start this a.m.
Ds called yesterday and the other children came to the door, at least. Dd26 wouldn't come in because the wedding she attended Saturday was "massive" and she and dsonil were worried they might have encountered something that wouldn't be good. DangerBoy also came.
I was nauseous again all through the night, finally vomiting at 5. Unable to sleep until after daylight and I'm not sure that was sleep, just finally relaxed at least. Sadly, because I wakened HRH, his night was ruined, too. He tried everything to help me, but it seemed to have to run its course. It seemed digestive/food related, but then why the day before, too. Sigh. Discouraged that for the first time since hospital I'll have to answer "yes" to the constant question asked at my appts about vomiting. Since they always ask, I can't help but think they will perk up their ears and have an opinion or worry on general recuperation.
Don't know what I'll be able to do with this day. We'll see. HRH just brought me watermelon - he says he read that it replenishes well after being sick. Smells good, anyway. (smile)

I have been to morning and afternoon stitching groups. While I was out dh did some pots and pans. It's a fairly nice day here. Sun is shining outside.
Currently having my second cup of hot tea for the day.

Had lunch.
Dd has finished the windows inside and out for me.
And did the main bathroom toilet with pumice stone such an improvement.
De-cluttered some books too.
Happy now to rest a bit.
I did some knitting.
This is a relief for both of us as she had some unexpected time off.
I have watered the front in the shade.
Picked some apples to take to the field for the deer.

Home from my workout. Went to Staples to pick up the 100 pg booklet that they were to bind me for several weeks ago. I realized yesterday I hadn't heard from them and they still had it. So picked that up and also had a return there. I had a Michaels return as well but the receipt wasn't in the bag like I thought. I'll have to paw around papers and see if I can find it.
Stretching at my workout today did not have desired effect. The pain/cramps in my hip muscles moves around and today stepping onto a short bench was painful. So we primarily did upper body and cardio after that. She had me on a stationery recumbent bike and every thirty seconds I added bicep curls or punches with weights in my hands. I did three minutes of that twice. I had her text me the sequence of stretches that worked on those pesky knotted muscles last week to keep practicing on loosening things up. And I have a massage tomorrow so that will help.
I left this sitting awhile. Have walked the dog a lap in "feels like" 94 degrees. That took me to 9400 steps.
Dh came by with a picture from his office that he will put upstairs in his "office." I've agreed that we will hang two of the pieces he already brought home from his office - one in the hallway upstairs (open to below) and one in our small hall from the garage to the bedroom. I think it's way too big for the space, but it's not really a public area. The art on the other side of the hallway can be viewed from our kitchen and looks good there. I find my own taste in art being overwhelmed by his enthusiasm for his purchases. For years, if he's purchased artwork without consulting me, it needed to go to the office because we need to agree on things. So in the future, I probably need to slow him down.
And he's wanting to make more decisions at home about furniture arrangement and other decisions, I think as the result of being home more. He's perturbed that the furniture on the screened porch gets wet, and wanted to start taking all the cushions off the long couch (six large cushions, plus accents) and chairs for storage. I like it to look inviting out there, so I said no. We may end up getting a cover, at least for the couch and I could deal with that more easily. And he has a TV at his office that he wants to bring home for the screened porch - which is great. (Something else to cover!) And....he wanted to rearrange the screened furniture and it looked totally unbalanced - too much furniture to one side of the porch. I suggested a modification and he wouldn't go for it. So a couple of days later he put everything back. Then I explained that I could deal with his rearrangement with the modification. So I think he's happy now, and I'm satisfied. My father NEVER was involved household matters that I was aware of, so I think I don't like him "butting in" when he makes suggestions.
Reminds me of this cartoon, which I've always loved.

Posting without CI:
BECAUSE...
y'all will not believe this.
Yes, I slept late, but when I got up, I immediately got the sheets in the washer, and began vacuuming, as was my plan to get as much as possible done on Mondays when DGS is here.
The last load of laundry is in the washer, everything else is waiting to be hung to dry...
Clean sheets are on the bed...
Carpet and rugs are vacuumed. I still need to do the hard floors. except for my bathroom which is done.
Took DGS to Subway for lunch...
Mailed bday card and money to nephew...
Read the paper...
Called AU ticket office for dbil.
POTB for ME!!!
Oh, Twins, I LOVE that cartoon!!! I can just imagine. DH never cared much about things around the house, but he didn't like change, and he didn't like workmen underfoot. Hence, I probably have the dirtiest carpet in America. I was about ready to call St*nley St*amer for their 3-room special... but then found out about the vapor barrier under the house and that seems to be a more urgent need.
And IKWYM about the porch cushions. I have no cushions on any of my outdoor furniture, and I would love to have some, but I have had two sets (hand-me-downs from dinlaws') which have been ruined by the weather. The bad thing is, I have one chair and a chaise lounge that cannot be used without cushions -- they only have wide slats for the cushions to go on. I also need to paint all my patio furniture and refurbish the porch swing and rocking chairs. I don't really know how to go about that -- the wooden rockers and swing. They need cleaning and coating with good varnish, I guess.

Does anyone have any tips?

Waving to ALL!!!

I wish I could respond more. Thank you all for commiserating with me about feeling sick. Have not felt nausea today.
Some had power outage with all this storming here. We did not, but all the noise disturbed me a lot, and I have not napped. Have been able to chat with ds a long time, ddolder to offer our extra computer station to WonderBoy who had an assignment (he was able to use his laptop), and dd26 briefly while she grocery shopped.
Electric workers did get to the downed tree not far away, ds noticed while we talked. So glad of that for those affected, like ddolder.
Right now storming again so need to make this quick. See you all tomorrow!

DGS and I went to Ch*ck F*l A * peach milkshakes are back *!
I need to exercise. LOL.
My dmom has a doctor's appt tomorrow -- pulmonologist check-up -- but goodness, her memory has been off these past couple of days. I told her Saturday that DS would be singing at her church at the end of Sept/first of Oct, I wasn't sure. She asked me Sunday, "What time does DS sing next week?" Sigh. Then... also Sunday, I told her she had the appt Tuesday. Today her home health nurse texted me and said dmom couldn't remember if it was Tuesday or Wednesday that she had this appointment. And it is written down on her calendar, right beside her medicine dispenser. SMH. I don't THINK she is developing dementia like some of you are dealing with with your dhusbands, and blessed with your dmom. But I may be in denial. This is troubling.
Also troubling... the termite people say the work under the floor must be done.
-- Carpenter friend hasn't been out yet, but he told DS that from his previous work, he didn't think I even needed to re-do the whole crawl space -- that some of the area in question might be loose, maybe it would need a sheet or two replaced, but he certainly did not think I needed a total re-do. DS added that he (DS) doesn't have any sort of moisture barrier, and carpenter said he doesn't think it is always necessary.
-- Then I called my (indoor) pest control lady. Her family used to do termite bonds until her husband became ill and unable to do the crawl space work. She said, like the carpenter, that a LOT of people do not have moisture barriers. That only half of her own house has it, and that was because her father (the original owner of the pest control business) put it down when he did an addition to the house. And then, not because he was worried about mold, but because he wanted it to be cleaner when he had to go under the floor. She said if the carpenter can repair any damaged spots, insure that there is no leaking water, and make sure the vents are open, this should solve itself. She added that if there are signs of fungus developing in a small area, the carpenter can spray bleach and stop it.
-- Then, she called me back -- said she was telling her husband about this whole situation and the $4700 estimate. She said her husband said, "They are just trying to take advantage of her. 90% of the houses in our area have moisture, and most of them do not have moisture barriers. We live in a very humid climate and if the carpenter thinks he has it in good shape, she should not worry about this. Besides, with all the rain we've had this spring, what would you expect?" I thought that was a very good point. If they inspected this again
-- I sent them the pictures the termite man had taken of the crawl space and they agreed, the HVAC duct work is high priority, but otherwise, this should not be something for me to panic about.
Harriet, I'm so glad you haven't been nauseous today. Nausea is just The Worst.
We had some rain this afternoon, but nothing serious.
While talking to the pest control lady, I got all the clothes hung to dry (I tumble dry 5-10 minutes, then hang on hangers in closet door and on a tall cabinet in bedroom.) Also PUPA in den. Towels and underwear are still in the dryer. I'll fold them tomorrow, and will try to finish vacuuming (less than 30 minutes will do it) and clean bathrooms.
ALSO MUST make time to go to Wmart tomorrow.
Hope you all have a great day tomorrow!
