d cathy. thank you and d lady thank you so much - I am honored by your thoughts! - dd's and I are going to talk on Friday - dd older is going to tell her that we don't need her Friday. We will make a decision this week. Hoping to find someone else soon.

I was able to go to the place where I bought my one tree - (I bought three from them) - unfortunately the tree was cut short in the roots when the grower dug it up. I have to write the manager *- I don't think the woman believed it was the growers fault. I showed her the pictures and she said that we didn't use their tree planting service so that I may not get my money back.

I figure they can at least pay me what they paid the grower for the tree.

wish me luck.

Dh just walked in and immediately got on the phone.

I feel less scattered. I have two HOA bills to mail and did four other checks that are reimbursements, including one to me for ordering new checks on my credit card. I went ahead and deposited that online. Along the way I cleaned out a printer jam - our printer is old and jams frequently printing checks. I also hung up the damp laundry from the washer.

Since dh is home, and the HOA stuff of off my mind, I'm going to go upstairs in a bit to play.

I've cleaned two areas that were previously decluttered/deep cleaned this month. It doesn't take long to keep the areas maintained. I know me enough to know that if I don't have a weekly card reminding me to LOOK at the area then it will most likely revert to previous status. IYKWIM

I have been diligent today so I'm declaring that it is time to reward myself with an afternoon cup of pebble ice & Diet DR Pepper and go for a drive. I take pleasure from simple things.

yay on your cleaning d lady! I agree - going over things once a week works. I have not done the for awhile and I am hoping to get back on that routine. good for you!

I don't mind answering the questions at all: the helper is here from 8 to 6:00 pm.
she gets lots of help from dd's and I
she gets paid very very well.

no big things after this morning -

dd younger went out for dinner with her d cousin. so happy that they are taking time together.

Two teens are washing dishes. One teen is taking a shower.
Clean dishes....clean body.
It is the small things of life that bring me joy.

I have harvested the final garlic of the 2025 garden. Now I am letting the 46 garlic heads cure for a couple weeks. The phases of 2025 garden seem to be passing fast. Asparagus is done. Strawberries are almost done. Garlic is done. Basil is beautiful because I made the decision to let it flower. Ditto with the dill and its bright yellow flowers. Most of the greens are finished until fall garden. I am somewhat sad to see them end.
However, the flowers and other vegetables growing will be doing their thing for several months and are amazing this year. I genuinely enjoy being in my happy place.

d lady how exciting - garlic harvested!! yes having clean dishes and clean teens
