trissie, I agree with FFB. Your dh is a lucky man! Is it the same menu?
It sounds like you're well-liked in your neighborhoods, FFB. I hope ds9's lip heals quickly. And a 2nd job interview for MrNG sounds promising! --And Mr NG sounds a bit like my dh; when he was an expert witness in a big case between 2 tech companies, he was told by the law firm that hired him to go buy a nice suit before he got on the witness stand. He had a jacket and pants, but they weren't part of the same suit.
Kitty, 11 pm is not the best time for any sort of accuracy in my brain. It sounds like you definitely need a new fridge!

I'm up and sorta at 'em. I didn't sleep enough last night, went to bed at 11:30 and was awake around 5 and couldn't properly get back to sleep. This is a busy weekend - not a great way to start out. BUT I'm drinking coffee and dressed to jog, and that's a great way to start the day at least. :D

I don't think I got back here yesterday. I left the house at 10:30 and didn't get back home until almost 3 pm. My friend JY decided I needed highlights (I agreed) so my haircut appointment was a bit longer than planned. But my hair now looks great! I think you'd call me a blond again. :D I left her house at 12:30 and visited my Mom - and also stayed longer there than I'd planned. The residents were getting a snack, so I got a rice pudding cup and fed Mom so she could have a snack too. She ate it all. She also drank a Sunny D and about 4 oz. of water. Then, I picked up some things at WF and made an A return. I did finish exam prep and got in touch with 2 students re: the exit exam. I still need to schedule that with 1 student; the other decided not to take it. *sigh* It's not mandatory for the students and understandably, few students will choose to take yet another exam when it's not required. It provides them an assessment of their CEFR level, and it gives us feedback re: how we're doing.

It is warm today, 72*F at 8 a.m. and a forecast high around 92*F (33.3C). It is gray and I heard thunder earlier -- but the weather forecast claims it's not going to rain. Hmm.....

TODAY: I need to get in a jog, do laundry, do a bit of housecleaning before the Ys show up here. Perhaps some shopping? That's not clear. But a start on packing - or planning the packing at least would be helpful to my future self. Then, at 3, I'm picking up KY and we're having a coffee date. We're all rendezvousing (my apologies, FFB - we use this as a verb in informal English. . . ) at our house around 5 pm. Then, we'll head out around 5:20 to restaurant reservations and then the concert at a cozy venue, all downtown. It will be a very social day - before another social day. Starting with minimal sleep is not ideal, but KY is like a soulmate. I will enjoy catching up with her.

helia lol you don't need to apologize for your grammar. Your day is social indeed. I hope you enjoy your time with your DF.

kittykatt did you manage to do your oven cooking before it was too hot ? It's already too hot to get out here.

The library trip was nice. I had forgotten to return a book we borrowed in May so when I got back I searched for it in many corners of the kids bedrooms. As a result their bedrooms are now more organized. They still need attention and a good vacuuming.

TADAs
library
Some order in the kids' bedrooms
found missing library book
lunch( MrNG prepared veggies and we had leftover veggie flan from yesterday) served and eaten and cleaned up
kitchen rescue 10 mns
started load of delicates
started dishwasher

TODO I'm a hopeful person
cleaning : both bathrooms
pick a family movie for tonight
couch cover : mending project
clean up my payroll lunch bag
vacuum bedrooms
vacuum everywhere
birthday party next Saturday : plan activities, make shopping list
some cardio
some cooking ahead ?
many tasks in the garden + unroot a dozen dandelions or more
homework
plan the two school weeks left - MrNG has a job interview on Mondays, there are many small events, parties, fair : which to attend?
...and the weekly to-do list

Morning all. Kittykat I bet that is a bit tricky almost changes the kitchen to get a fridge that is bigger and where it is now. But I'm sure you will appreciate it.

I really had to think. English does that alot. Using other language words as English words. Lol. And then when you say it to someone who actually speaks the language.

Enjoy your visit with your friend helian. That's me and mj. I should connect with her again.

Hmmm. What to do today. I need to do some more tidy up here. I'd like to work on my flowerbed but that requires going to get bags of soil. I need to go weed some more at dad's. And see if town has been suitable curtains for their house. They've moved the tv upstairs and just have lacy 30 plus yr old valance style. Needs drapes to keep the sun out now in the summer.

I also said I would watch mom for a few hours later. Advice needed. Ds is just done school and is home all the time. I don't want to leave him here more than he has to by himself. But mom is getting to the stage of what do I do with her here. It would be easier to go there. Yet maybe it would be good to get her out. Dilemmas. Lots to do out there and I am also not willing to spend all day there. Ackkkk.

I guess I will start with routines. My floors are recently mopped. Just a sweep and vacuum the rugs and finish the kitchen again. Do a few things in my garden here. Go to town and see if there's suitable curtains in town.

Edit -- I stopped there and decided I better just submit it so I didn't lose it. Dh is leaving in a bit and I should get in the shower and get some things done.

Priority list

Basic routines
Kitchen clean
Living room clean
Get curtains for dad
Weed my garden
Weeds in greenhouse
Watch mom later

Today's tada list

Shower
S&s both baths and reboot laundry
Tidy laundry room some
Empty and reload dw
Finish tidying kitchen all the way

laura sometimes you just have to submit the message and get started on something, even if it ends up being different from what you planned.

MrNG had a nap while I read books to the kids, and then he said ok when DS9 asked to go to the beach. So I helped him pack - but he wanted to do things differently - and DS6 wanted to go to the swimming pool instad but changed his mind - then we looked for things and found some things but not all of them... they eventually got things ready and went in the car and now I have some freedom of movement to do some much needed house stuff... and maybe relax a bit.

TADAs
read books
lol on outside drying rack
helped MrNG pack things for the beach
convinced DS6 that going to the beach was a great idea

TODO I'm a hopeful person - let's see what I can get done
cleaning : both bathrooms
pick a family movie for tonight
couch cover : mending project
clean up my payroll lunch bag
vacuum bedrooms

Back from my jog and a trip to TJ. I accidentally ran a little over 5K; I wasn't paying attention and jogged 1.66 miles out, so I turned around and jogged back --> 3.32 miles. I sweat a lot.

Oh nice, FFB, you have the house to yourself for a bit.
You are really the sandwich generation, Lauralind, with your kids still needing your care and your parents starting to need it as well. I hope you won't need to spend all day at your parents' place. It seems good to have a priority list and to try to focus on those things first.

I've cooled down. I'm going to start a lol and then see if I can shower; dh is still cleaning the bathroom. He's cleaning every surface, including the walls -- but probably excluding the tile in the shower. It needs scrubbing again.

Main Goals for Today
1. JOG 5K+
2. Laundry
3. Tidy living areas
4. S/S main bathroom
5. Coffee with K
6. Dinner and concert with Ys
7. Packing list/ plan made

Next:
- start a lol
- some qt
- make the bed
- s2s and self care

Later:
- some qt
- make the bed
- reclaim kitchen
- tidy cedar chest
- lights: w d f pa
- darks: w d f pa

- TJ + put away groceries
- dh is deep cleaning the bathroom ❤️
- kitchen reclaimed

Yup. I think it would be better for that part if it were the 2 married couples and younger ds was just a little older without his autistic difficulties. He is perfectly capable on his own but he already stays home without me so much. And he's so quiet and hard to talk to sometimes I feel like I am not spending enough time with him. I completely understand he does not want to hang out with grandma with me.

Frenchie I hope you get some relax time. I have many times started a long post and then got distracted doing something before I finished and lost it when I left my phone untouched fer 5 10 minutes. Better just to post it and then edit.

Anyway the kitchen is waiting for me.

Edit again lol. Well oops. I missed the start button on the dw. Moving on. I'll do floors I think and then town.

helia I can't believe you "accidentally ran over 5K" when I can't jog 1K without a few breaks  Good for you that you're in such a great shape ! I hope you can easily cool down - here it's so hot I wouldn't even dream of being able to run. We're in an "orange" weather alert because of the unusual heat. (there are green, yellow, orange and red levels).

Laura I know, the posts that are not submitted tend to get lost... Good luck with the kitchen !

I did a lot of little things here and there, now I'm having a break.

TADAs
pick a family movie for tonight
clean up my payroll lunch bag
forgotten dishes in the kitchen
yesterday's lol halfway f-p-a
both kids bedrooms are better
a few minutes in the downstairs bathroom
both toilets are being disinfected (vinegar / citric acid)

TODO I'm a hopeful person - let's see what I can get done
couch cover : mending project
vacuum bedrooms
vacuum everywhere
birthday party next Saturday : plan activities, make shopping list

Ugh. An hour and a half later. I forgot about the big parade in town that caused all kinds of traffic jam. This trip could have been a different time . And i
I didn't find the main thing I went for. I think I'll order online. Maybe I will see if mom wants to help me pick something out later. Actually they both had enough but one was only one panel a pack and narrow. The other had it right but a bit heavier and expensive. Curtains to shade the sun in mom and dad's living room.

Now I have 2 and a half hours to get to dad's. And I just remembered. She needs her shot again today. I wish she would let me learn to do it. She freaked at the suggestion last time. But dad already took her to town and I need to get her to want to again.

Maybe I should go pull a few weeds in my garden and take Casper for a walk before I go.
