Bw2 so glad to hear the good report on the new care taker!

Talked with dd & dsis and did more moving of things from one room to the other.
Fixed lunch and ate.

Then more items needed to move out of closets.

On a break again yea for putting away some of the items in the other room.

Yarn sewing room stuff is in that room.

Writing and papers in it mostly have not moved stuff off the shelf over head yet in the yarn / sewing one...
so that's next.

Definitely a process so glad I can do inside things now and this week is a good one for it!

Way to go gals on your process too!

Update :
Got the stuff in the closets swapped out and mostly put away yea.
In order for the most part. I will still need to work on a few areas
but having the biggest part of this job done in both rooms is a big win.

Having stuff in the closets helps. SO glad I de-cluttered them last round.
Some was just empty boxes for storage and so I do not fill space with stuff! LOL!
A few empty baskets too.

Hot here today heat advisory it up till eleven tonite.

I'm so pleased about the new caretaker, bw2! Hoping you hit the jackpot this time.

Great workout, as usual. Going to walk the ddog then very quick s2s. I s2s-ed this a.m. but a clean up after workout is needed.

Does anyone have super dry skin and a moisturizer that works particularly well? I had to change what I was using because I thought it was causing some of the redness on my shins. I'm not sure if it's better but the lotion I'm using now isn't cutting it.

Twins', for me it is all dryness, not redness, but drs have recommended Eu cerin Advanced Repair Cream for Very Dry Skin. It has a red cap with the phrase, "Dermatological Skincare" in red near the cap.

((Ramblin')) feel better soon.

I've made a DPC and also called and left a message to say "hi" to truck farming cousin.

Put away of groceries happened, as well as receiving an online order.

I've made good progress in decluttering the huge and rarely accessed cabinets under the kitchen bar. These cabinets are at least 3' deep which means I have to lay on the floor and halfway crawl into the cabinet to access the items at the back. I am fairly sure these heavy glass containers stored in these deep cabinets have not been used in several years. I had forgotten about most of them. The cabinets are now emptied and the counter is covered with the items so i can sort through them. A big cardboard box was filled with glass containers that are not unique. They will be donated. Decluttering them was the easy decision to make. I'm going to think about the unique heavy glass containers for a bit before I decide whether to keep them or send OTD to be given away.

It is raining. The farmers who just planted their wheat are celebrating the rain. The farmers who are furiously working in the fields to bale their hay are not so thrilled with the timing. It is what it is.

I need ideas of things to cook. I am not feeling creative or inspired. I love to cook but fumble at deciding WHAT to prepare.

I have rinsed my hair outside and combed it out.
It is so refreshing and I use the hose for this in the summer.

Napped a bit earlier.
I've done some knitting too.

I have a plan for soup cause I made food up yesterday
ahead for two days.

Thinking of doing up rolls & not raise them to have on hand for later.
I will need flour after that I think. I have milk to use up.

Took ddoggo out for a break while I was combing my hair.

Yes — very good ideas, Kitty! Thanks for your post last night.
I’m less than 15 minutes away from dmom, so it’s not a terrible situation. I wish she lived closer — she owns my grandmother’s home which is only a couple miles from me. But she’s not going to move. She’s been in her house for almost 62 years. I don’t blame her; I wouldn’t want to leave my house either.

She is supposed to be coming to my house in the next half hour for dgs’ birthday. She said she could drive herself but if she stayed till dark, she might let ds drive herself but if home. So in some ways, she’s doing okay. It’s kinda a situation where things are just fine — until they’re not.

I did offer to type the bulletin for our pastor, and met her at the bank to sign on for church checking accounts. I will have to go back after Finance committee gets a letter written re: some other details.

I’m still hoping to avoid Wednesday.
And I’m still feeling a lot of guilt for my thoughts and my attitude when dh was sick. I treated him very well — and he appreciated me very much. BUT sometimes my feelings didn’t match my actions, and I feel terrible about that.

No one came in while we were having the birthday party???

Editing to add --

DGS's party was very nice; dmom was able to come (drove herself here and back home), lots of laughs with dbil and dsisil, who stayed for a while after dmom left. (Laralind, I think my mom is going to get someone to come in to help out some during the day. Dsisil seemed to think she was doing pretty well, all things considered.)
I think part of what has been wrong with me these last few days is this milestone of dgs' -- turning 13, how much dh would have loved to have been here for him. I've been all in my feelings, I guess. DH and DGS had a special bond. DGS has not been at all excited about this birthday -- ddil said they practically had to force him to go bowling with them last weekend to celebrate. I wonder if he is missing dh also. He's spending the night with me tonight.

I cannot believe we are halfway through another year... I'm like you, blessed -- I can't get used to the fact that it's summer. Although it is certainly hot enough.

Twins, my dsisil is retiring this week too. Unfortunately, dbil's secretary quit unexpectedly, and dsisil is filling in for awhile. This may be a tense situation for the newlyweds. ;) :D She must have the patience of Job.

Nancy, I am definitely slipping in my walking plans. I've been showering at night, and putting off exercise till it's too late -- I mean, late enough that I am not in the mood; I just want to shower and get in bed. Last night, I was really up all night -- just watching TV. Probably too much caffeine late in the day. You probably got up about the time I finally fell asleep.

(((Rose))) I hope your headache went away soon.

LadyM, that is fascinating -- DS planting wheat all night. As you said, that will be a great memory for him.

Twins, I use Cerave lotion. DH used to use Cetaphil. Both were recommended by dermatologists. (Harriet, I can give Eucerin a thumbs up, also. Recommended by dermatologist for DGS.)

Hope you all have a great day Tuesday!
Tomorrow is another day.
