Helian I am flex shift almost all my days. Monday I vary with when the truck is there. Tuesday I usually pick early shift. Thursday and Fri I'm supposed to be inventory and that is earlier the better. But when someone is sick or short staff I can fill in wherever. Our newest girl was doing better but now she's pregnant and is very irregular. I was choosing between just going late shift in case she doesn't come. Frustrating because that is going to stick me and the young high school builder guy on till. But no I'll go early and just do seasonal and till in the morning and let the guy do hardware . If she comes she can be till and I will go organize it all myself.

HI, Peaches
Helian, I'm excited for you to see the ultrasound picture!
kittykatt, I hope you enjoy your new fridge. It takes som e getting used to new arrangements. You did great on all the prep work you did.
Laura, I hope work goes well. I KWYM about watering then it rains. Same is often said about washing the car.

I'm back from the funeral. Mother was crabby when I picked her up, didn't want to talk. Tired? It was early in the day for her. She was pleasant and visited with many people at the funeral. She made little or no effort to get into or out of the car, but we accomplished it without any problems. I don't think I am going to take her to any more funerals. When we got back, she wouldn't give me a hug or say goodbye for the weekend. I'm heading to my cabin as soon as I put a few clothes in a suitcase. And a little food. I'll buy most of it when I get there. I won't be eating much, just myself, and I should eat out of the cupboard.

About the bedspread -
She has loved birds and birdhouses for several years. So I pieced birdhouses into a quilt top for a twin bed at the cabin. Then didn't really know how to finish it, and she bought a comforter/ bedspread she like better than what I made. A lady from church took the birdhouses and finished it into a tiwn bedspread. Now it's Mother's spread a t the NH and she finally loves it and is grateful that I made it for her. She thinks it's new, doesn't remember that I gave it to her years ago and she didn't want it. That's dementia.
When I was there last evening, I found her bedspread on a chair, and found a big chocolate stain on one of her blankets. That's when she told me she had fallen asleep with a cup of cocoa in her hand. Oh MY, there were chocolate stains all over the bedspread! I have found that if I spray liberally with a product called Resolve - it's actually a carpet spot cleaner! - then use a fingernail brush and some clear Dawn liquid dish detergent, then soak in cool water overnight, I get pretty good results. I did all that before going to bed last night.
Then before going to get her for the funeral this morning, I put it on the washer, spun it out, then washed it on gentle and spun it out again. I think I got it all out! It's tied, and not tied as much as I would like it to be, so I am not putting it into the dryer to bunch up, just draping it over a hanging rack on my enclosed porch. Maybe I'll fluff it 5 minutes after it's dry, if that's needed.

Now it's time to pack, take in mother's mail, empty her and my dehumidifiers, and go. The cabin will be very quiet, but there will be events tonight tomorrow and Sunday morning.

That's quite the process, Gma. I'm glad you got the stains out. It was very cool to see baby Isabella. 22 weeks. She has 10 fingers and 10 toes and all the parts of a body she should! She was moving around a lot; they couldn't see her heart as well as they wanted so they're going back for another sonogram in 2 weeks. Hopefully all is well; they said they didn't see anything wrong just that they couldn't get the clear pics they wanted.

Gma, the quilt sounds very special! You're a very good housekeeper to get all those chocolate stains out. I hope you find the time at the cabin restful and rejuvenating.

Helian,.how lovely to "see" baby Isabella - such a pretty name.

Hi, Peaches!

There's still more I need to do in the kitchen, but I did get a lot of things photographed ready for selling on eBay. Tomorrow is supposed to be very hot again, and DH will be out with DBIL, so it would be a good idea to start writing the descriptions ready for posting online. I also have laundry to fold and PA and the delicate wash to do, as we had an early supper and then I went out in the garden . No grass to cut this week, - it's been too dry - but lots of deadheading. I fed my pots and out the hose on the front garden to give that a really good soak. My water.butts are empty, so. I'm planning to fill them using the hose tomorrow, and see if the hose will reach far enough to water any of the back garden.

Helian how sweet. And they named her already. So pretty. That's great you got to be there. I saw a picture of lil j.

Till.. the cash register. What do you all call it. I don't usually do it unless we are short staff. The girl came today but she only made it till afternoon. She should be stabilizing from morning sickness but seems she's really struggling. I don't think she's got enough hours for maternity leave yet. I found a lot of stuff needing to come down. Fortunately the young guy packed it all. He did good today but he had none of his friends to distract him. Productive day.

Gma that's a lot of work cleaning the quilt. I better be careful sitting here I might just do the same... fall asleep with my coffee. Does your mom Actually remember the people the funeral is for? Would she miss it if she didn't go? Maybe she would I don't think she's that forgetful yet? It's a lot for you to bring her out.

Your kitchen must look really good now kittykat.

Casper thinks it's walk time . Probably should before it rains again. First off Figure out supper. Walk. Cook. Clean kitchen a bit. Figure out what we're doing tomorrow there's pile drain rock in the yard but I don't know if dh set up enough to actually do anything with it.
