Dh went to get a new battery in the remote for my car. Every time I started my car yesterday, it gave me a ping ping ping notice that they keyless remote battery was low. He's also going for groceries. I made a list as best I could. Load of laundry is dry, I think he said he'll fold it later. With the mood he's in, I'll fold it myself if I need to.
Have accomplished quite a bit so far. Unpacked, although there are toiletries and a CPAP in the bathroom to put away. Called re window cleaning. Cleared kitchen counters - if dh didn't know where to put away kitchen stuff he left it on the counter. Unpacked beach bag, leaving sunscreen etc. Cleared kitchen table of stuff. Planned supper: grilled chicken, green salad, corn on cob. Grocery list. Returned phone call. Scanned dh's report from the HHI urgent care to save. Scanned form for temple dues, sent to office manager. Paid a cemetery bill and person bill online. Purged my email from over 200 to 60. (Need to get to 50.) recorded weight for days I was away. I still feel like my brain is "need to, need to...."
I need to take a shower next. This getting out of bed so late really puts one behind all day, lol.

DD14 lung test happened without any problems. We won't get the results until all the tests are done.
DD14 is starting to show an interest in shopping. She surprised me with how many things she found to purchase today. I consider it progress so am pleased.
I am loving spending time outside again since the wind has returned. It is 100F feels like right now but is comfortable with air moving. We are in a flood watch starting at midnight.

Twins' - I am thrilled to learn that Twins' Dad's experience sounds as if it was NOT as bad as my ddil's friend's was 2 weeks ago. I've been worried his foot was swollen extremely like hers was. Ddil held her hands to describe - you don't want to know. Also, I will reaffirm to ddil about the hot water since she didn't know (having never been employed in nursing near an ocean). She did say she was certain healthcare facilities near your beach (she vacations there, too) would be absolute authorities on minimizing the symptoms and difficulties for their patients and was so glad you had professional help fast. I didn't realize it would bleed so profusely - poor Twins' Dad and you as well.
LadyM, insofar as ds16 can be a calming and stabilizing influence for gf and younger siblings, that is a good thing. I agree with you that a low profile right now is wise, hoping that the family can blend well in these early days. How pleasant to hear dd14 is becoming a good shopper. It will benefit her in the future to get the concept of scouting for what she would like to buy, finding wise purchases, avoiding bad deals that might keep her from having what she really planned, etc.
I have to stop and catch up later... .. sigh.
3 appts through the day with problems... .. all over now but weary-ing. I do have a load of laundry in the machines. Some good news... must be lett for later POOF

Hi!
Dh proclaimed that it was too hot for me to cook, so he went and picked up Chinese food. We got it from a place we haven't gone to in a very long time. Their prices are higher than our usual place. Dh told them their prices were a lot higher than our usual price. They said their food is better. Neither one of us thought this food ws any better and we won't go back to the more expensive place.
It's very hot here today and tomorrow will be even hotter.

LadyM, what encouraging news about dd! And I'm glad you have air moving. I started to walk ddog earlier and a T-storm was blowing in. We got a few drops of rain - I did a shortcut back home unsettled by lightning and possible rain shower. We didn't get much rain, however. Walked the ddog her lap a few minutes ago in better weather, cooler, with a slight breeze.
Dh went to grocery, got new battery for car remote, and filled up my tank. He has his convertible out of the garage now so his bigger car is in garage so he drove mine. He has stayed off his feet mostly today, still a little swollen and he worries about foot. He did say it didn't look infected.
Chicken is marinating for grill and corn on cob ready to go on grill with it. Easy dinner with a green salad.
Nothing on calendar for tomorrow. With dfriend group mostly in Poland on the big trip right now, we're on our own, lol. It's quiet here.
