A castle field trip sounds awesome, trissie. We visited a castle in Prague; I'm not sure which one it was, but we walked across Charles bridge to get to it - but again, I'm not sure which direction.

I did not like falafel until our sabbatical in Israel. We were told Haifa was known for its great falafel. We went to a famous hole-in-the-wall falafel place -- and it was SO yummy!

It is gray and drippy today, the perfect day to head back to ds + F's home. We will still plan to stop by the waterfall on the way out. The weather should help keep the crowds at bay.

Yesterday, we had two more herds of elk meander through the back property of the bnb. Well, one might have been the same small group wandering through the other direction. That made 4 elk sightings in 1 day!!

Today is a travel day. We're leaving the bnb in 1:40, driving to the waterfall, doing the hike and admiring it, and then finishing the drive back to ds+F's home. Once back, we'll make a stop by the grocery store again, and I need to do laundry.

I have never had a cat who likes my lap. How sweet to hold and pet your kitty. My dfBS has 2, Tonkanese (kind of like a Siamese or Burmese). The boy lets me pet, but not hold, him. The little girl just runs whenever anyone comes in, She's very skittish.

I had never heard of flalafel until I went on a trip to Israel. I thought they were wonderful . I think they have some special seasonings. Not quite the same here. But still ok.
A trip to a castle for the kids sounds great!

Since my son and grandson moved my sewing machine, I have room to clean the window above. I think that was the main source of the box elder bugs, seeping through the cracks. I have been at it for 45 minutes - deep cleaning!!! - and am only about half done. I was going to put a screen in, so I could open the window and let some fresh air into the basement, but I can't find it I'm sure it's been 5 or 10 years since it has been in, so it could be anywhere - even my house or mothers! Not very may bugs out today, so I can at least have it open for a little while and hope I don't get mosquitoes, gnats, and flies. I'll only have it open while I am working there.
DGS is here mowing my lawn ♥ ♥ ♥ then he and his parents are going to the cabin. They are "redcorating," redesigning the plants/ flowers in the yard at the cabin. It's quite a bit of work, and they do such a good job. DS and DGS do most of the work. Ddil, I think, spends alot of her time reading. She also focuses on keeping the cabin clean. She's very fussy about that.

Back to the window.I'ts my main project for the day.

WOW, I can actually see through my sewing room window! Storm and interior windows are washed and back in. They are aluminum frames.
I had a carpenter build a wood frame extra interior window, many years ago. I think I only got a coat of primer pain on it - at least that's what it feels like. So now the glass is taped, and one side is painted with "real" paint. Can says recoat in 4 hours. I have to get dressed and go to a funeral, so by the time I get back, it should be ready to recoat. I might set up a fan to help it dry, cz it's pretty humid out.
I'm picking up someone, so I better get the car cleaned out - and the bird poop washed off before I get dressed up!

Gma, WTG with the window cleaning! All three of our cats are lap cats, but Freddie will only get on my lap, and only if no one else is around! Matilda likes to share her favours around, and with Jude, it's more of a special occasion and an honour!

This afternoon I've dealt with the laundry, wrapped the contents of six boxes for eBay and listed those extra two. All the boxes are now labelled with their contents and are down in the garage. There's still some more to list, but I'm not quite sure how to divide it up yet , and I think I've done enough on this for today. For some reason, wrapping things and writing descriptions is quite tiring!

I think I'll leave feeding the pots for tomorrow. Even if DH does decide to work in the spare room and / or garage tomorrow, and wants some "help", I should still have time to do the pots.
