Home from successful trip to the city. We dropped DD14 at DD49 home on our way home.
Fedex came while we were gone and left a tag on the door. They wouldn't leave the package without a signature (2 smartwatches). I've texted Fedex and now am waiting to find out if they will attempt another delivery instead of making us drive 50+ miles to pick it up.
FYI - I am pleased the flip calendar is working for DH. He hasn't needed to ask what date/day it is since starting to use it.
Twinote. DD14 is addicted to using this app. While waiting this morning I downloaded the app to test just because I'm curious. It is like a private twitter to capture your thoughts, notes, etc.

Twenty years younger!

Iced my shoulder that helped.
Did a kitchen spiff.
Put buns in the freezer upstairs.
Got 10K steps in today.
Did a few laps around the driveway to stretch and get the last few of the steps in for that goal.
Dishes will wait till morning.
Listened to a story on YouTube.
Put egg shells on the tomato plants.
Set up my new deck chair took the ripped seat off the old one.
Moved it to the patio with a board on the doggo got on it once with food to coax her.
Put away pens.
Still working out where to put school supplies for Dgd spare room I think.

What a nice compliment, Nancy! That is great!
Hard hard workout today, perhaps too much on some core work she thought I could do. I am feeling pretty worn out. Left there as rain started, and skipped two of the three errands I had planned on (skipped plant nursery and bank.) Ddog was traumatized at home with dh with thunder and lightning. Still hearing thunder. Once home, dog was walked with dfriend M and R uby.
Our supper is pork chops, sweet potatoes and leftover green beans (if dh will eat them? If they're still good? If not, green salad.)
New neighbors had someone changing locks earlier today, and had a truck being unloaded this afternoon.
And as always, I left this sitting here. Got distracted. (squirrel? Where?) And another short rain.

We had two hours with no teens this afternoon. It was strange for the house to be so quiet and calm.
Then DS16 arrived home and spent 30+ minutes excitedly talking about his day and thoughts. Now GF is here, and our home is back to noise and movement.
DS16 and friend decided they would go back to work around 9pm with plans to work until 3am ish. They will come home and sleep a few hours then start again tomorrow around 7am. It was 107F today which caused the equipment to be on the verge of overheating, so they want to get ahead of tomorrow (110F) by working through the night hours when it is cooler. The equipment has a/c but they can't run it because of the high heat. Doesn't make sense, huh? The equipment is already under so much strain from non stop hours of heavy loads (tons of hay) so they can't add any more strain by running the a/c. Working through the night hours when it is cooler (in the 80'sF) is their solution.
BTW - the teens (DS16 and friend) both think this is fun. Not everyone would think working 16 hours in the heat is fun and be eager to get up and do it again tomorrow. They are both stoked to be doing it and making plans for more. All this fun, with the added bonus that they get paid to do it.

Good evening! Running through and waving! Had therapy appointment today. Was able to talk about a positive — progress made in the playroom/sunroom. After the therapy session, I went online to see what I could find as far as the window treatments I’d like in there — it looks like the least we could get away with would be $600.
There are 12 individual casement windows of an uncommon size.
Did some paid work, then some work on a grocery list. I was hoping to have it ready to shop tomorrow, but it doesn’t look like it.
Had book club this evening. Went to a place that does Hawaiian-style Poke bowls. Unusual to me, but yummy. Spent a while listening to one of the women who really needed to be heard. She’s just finished settling up her late father’s house, and now her stepfather has fallen ill just as they were supposed to be moving him and her mother into assisted living. (And that’s about half of it.)
Came home, watched the end of the ballgame (we won!), watched Jeopardy with DH, and got a load of wash done. I would have liked to be in bed by now, but getting the wash done was worth it. So now I will go to bed. Sweet dreams, everybody! Waving to lucylee in case she passes through at the end of her day!
