After Lunch CI
I've picked up and put away most of the fabric left out the three or four of the projects
I have in the wings now.
I'm looking forward to going over my new to me books.
Did up the dishes and they have the been drained so I need to take out the other
containers in the cupboard to make room for them.

the helper came and was supposed to keep mom up until 12:00 - she put her to bed at 11:00 ish - I got home at 11:30 - mom had breakfast at 9:30 to 10 am - I Had the helper for 4 hours to help get mom up as mom hasn't liked me helping her in the morning.
Mom refuses to get up, now, bc she said I have to learn that she can do it herself.

Took awhile but was able to assembly the piano stand for my piano keyboard.

The music rack on the keyboard is very flimsy and would hold my music book so ordered an individual music stand for it.

I also ordered stickers for each piano key. It’s been over 40 years since I’ve attempted to play and wasn’t sure how much I would remember when it came to reading music.

I took lessons from the time I was 8 till I turned 15. I was delighted today when I sat down and was able to remember the keys and could still read the music! Much better than I thought I would be able. Even my fingers remembered their correct placement.

My grand father played the piano for the silent movies at the theater during his teen years. Once I got my piano I would ask him to play for me… he was in his 60’s by then. He couldn’t remember much but played ragtime for me.

It occurred to me a while ago that I never asked my grandfather where he learned the piano. Wish I had.

I have not been particularly social today — Dgd stayed at the preacher’s house till 5:00 pm. I did go in and speak to her at drop off and pick up.
Dgs came over around 1:00.
I took Dgd home after we ate supper so now it’s just dgs and me again, and we have got to enforce an early bedtime for ourselves. We are not accustomed to 6:00 am alarms!
The preacher’s dgs will not be available for swimming Monday, and I doubt if I will be tomorrow, so that may be something I can avoid.

I dread trading cars. I don’t plan to trade until the 2028 models are released, but I know it is going to be difficult. Dh and I never had a car payment, but I suspect I will have to this time. Dh also never wanted to buy a used car, but I might consider it this time.

Dh and I watered the garden after supper. It was supposed to rain and it still hasn't.

We had a BBQed steak and a foil packet of potatoes and onions. A small zucchini for dh and a large handful of green and yellow beans straight out of the garden.

I did wash the bed sheets and I also emptied the dishwasher. There is a sink full of dishes currently soaking while they wait to go into the dishwasher. The bed has been remade and I am trying to fill the DW before I go to bed.

Neither one of us had a nap today. Right now dh is watching a CFL game with his favourite team from Toronto currently winning. It's raining in Toronto which is directly north of us on the other side of lake Ontario.

I have been winding up balls of yarn this afternoon.
Glad for that progress yea!
A quick and easy no cook dinner was great a bit early.

The feet on the glider are different than the other rocker and is problematic.
So I've pulled the free one back from the curb this one may have to go to the basement.
Sigh...
