Today is another sunny and hot day. I'd like to get in a jog but I let myself sleep in, and I got up at late 8:30 -- and it's already 80*F. Ugh. I don't think I can jog today. I'll try to go for a long walk. I do need to visit my mom and get some groceries. I'm not sure what we're having for dinner.

Thanks for the start, kittykatt. There is a woman on TikTok who has started working on miniature houses as a treatment for menopause and as I watched I thought of you and your house. She is a little different in that she collects the toy balls that contain house items in plastic and it’s very random. She has multiple houses in her craft room so apparently she’s been doing this awhile.

Dogged, our book club does deep dives and spent time on the Underground Railroad and people that aren’t mentioned much. So interesting and such a hard time to live through.

I did manage to mop and get a shower last night so woke to a clean home and clean me. Now I need to feed everyone so I can drive dh to get his bloodwork done. Dd2 got home early am and is going to run errands with us. It’s weird having a grown kid isn’t it? My mom brain just got used to not having her around and now I have to stop myself from “mothering” her lol.

Gotta get dressed and knock out have tos. Enjoy your day.

WOW busy day already! Yesterday was church, worked on putting away some clothes in my bedroom - didn't finish, but improvement is good, right?
Checked out some bushes for mother's yard. I guess I will have to order in the fall and plant in the spring to get what I want for her.
Found a truck from local farm with sweet corn. Brought it to mother, but she was so sound alseep that I couldn't wake her - we had a busy week and she apparently was exhausted. So I went home, and shared some of the sweetcorn wiht a couple friends. Still ahd enough for her and myself.
NH called when she woke up_ she was having a tantrum about not needing to be there, leaving, etc. They hoped I could come. I hadn't been planning to go back when I left the first time, but since they requested, I did . When I got there, she was SO MAD, she was in bed - they had gotten her ready for bed and she was tucked in. Her eyes were shut tight and other than telling me she was mad, she wouldn't say anything. I offered her the sweet corn, she woudln't respond, so I left it in the refrigerator for today and went home.
Today is my day to IKEA. And first a luncheon with retired coworkers. And a trip to mother's house to empty dehumidifier, and drop off several things from NH that she is not using. I think she has forgotten the things we bought when we went shopping. I'll take that blouse she "had to have" home for a week and see if she remembers it, then return it. There are so many things in her house with sales tags still hanging - from a long time ago - not returnable. They will go to thrift store when she is gone, but that is not in the foreseeable future.
Time to get ready for the day!
I played my phone games, the Sudoku was too hard - I couldn't finish it. Of course I could use some of the hints I have accumulated, but later. things to do. no time to talk

Morning all. I'm checking in from northern Alberta at dd and dsil place. We've had a really nice time so far. It's good to get to know the kids as they're further away. We've been puttering with little projects. Fixed an electrical issue in the bathroom that didn't work right. The 2 lights didn't both work. Kinda better. Some organizing in the spare bedroom. And general help with whatever mama can do. Today we want to do some drywall repairs in the closet cause we had to make access to the plumbing. Some more organizing cause her basement storage needs decluttering the wedding stuff and packing random things better.

She has 2 really sweet cats. Walnut is about 10 months and briar is about 6? Ddil found him for them at Easter. Well she was waiting for briar to be old enough to spay. Now Walnut I think has come to age . Wow he's extremely vocal. And nothing in the house is safe from his marking. I'm not familiar with a male cause my only male ever is fixed earlier than he should have been.
