Thanks, Kittykatt. It's funny, but getting your DH ready for his new hobby is a lot like getting ready for the school year. I admit that I was surprised at the bento box, as that is something that is fashionable right now, whereas the clothes were all about tradition. I thought that he would hold out for one of those old fashioned ones. It's good that you found one that everyone is happy with.
Thanks, helia. We had some rain here too, but it's still hot and humid. That's okey, though, we have gone from high risk for forest fire yesterday to not rated today, so the rain has done its job.
It's so true that you experience a rainy day differently if you are right out in it, instead of enjoying it through the window of your nice dry room. Hopefully your DH and DD27 find something else to enjoy.
Lauralind, you are squeezed from all directions so that sometimes there is just not enough hours in the day/strength in your joints to get it all done. The daily routines will still be there for you when you can. Given that your young coworkers don't work independently, can you do less of unloading/shelving yourself and more of "You there! Can you take this box and put it on that shelf?"
Hi, Peaches
I'm going to visit my db at the end of September/start of October, trissie. It's just one week after I planned. School is in session so I'm not competing with families for hotel rooms etc., and it's early enough that I won't be driving in snow storms.
How cool to be able to link your connections to Mao Zedong.
I am sorry that you facing the heat without air conditioning. Can you set up a fan to blow right on you wherever you are working? Heat's not something to take lightly.
Wednesday
Hung the delicates
Booked car for holiday
Tried to book hotel
Changed week and booked hotel
Changed car booking
Texted brother to let him know about the change
Cleaned up after dog
Filled/started rice cooker

Dogged, the thick 19th century walls of our office building do provide some relief from the heat, and our house is well insulated, but it's still making everybody kinda drowsy (especially since I commute by public transportation and move by foot in the city). You're seeing your brother more often now that you are retired, and aint't that lovely!

Good afternoon! I’ve delayed long enough. Tomorrow is trash collection so today I HAVE to get all the trash out, no putting off.
Trissie, thanks as always for the interesting start. A huge thank you to Mr. Wichterle for the contacts. Cool about all of the connections to you.
Kittykatt, nice lunchbox. Reminds me I need to order dh some new lunch carriers.
Doggedly, good on ya for finding the best rates and having flexible visiting times.
Laura, freight? What sort of business are you in?
Helia, too bad about the rain during the camping schedule, enjoy cooler temps for me.

Bama, are you wearing contacts too? My sight is VERY bad ("is that a bus that's pulling in the station or is it an elephant?" - only partially kidding there, with 8dpt I basically move by memory if I am without any compensation aids), but due to contact lenses, barely anybody outside my immediate family knows it.
L.Ann, these administrative tasks always take so much time and energy!

Bama I work at home hardware. Dh and I both do. We're in a very rural small town but our shoe serves a lot of people and brings in everything pretty much except food. We go through a lot of product. Dh is plumbing and electrical sales and go to knowledge guy. I was seasonal gardening winter whatnot. But I have moved more to inventory and receiving when our weekly truck comes. I am trying to get out of seasonal but it's left in the hands of the 20 year olds atm. Meaning they need someone to keep them motivated and knowing what to do. The one girl is supposed to be in charge but it's proviing to be too much for her to know how to complete. I have to make sure everything stays on the shelves cause they miss so much. And give them what to do to make it flow towards the next season.
I am hopeful for a little relief though as I think they interviewed someone this morning. Older than me by a little and lots of experience. She should fit in somewhere. Anywhere will help.
I took longer than I had planned as dad was in town longer than he said. Had a good visit with my friend. Now it's almost time for the appointment. Gotta get ready and ds said he would do it. I don't think he's super thrilled but should be ok.

That is good that your houses are built to mitigate heat as well as cold, trissie.
I still only expect to see my db twice a year because of the cost, but I am taking a longer vacation this time as I don't have the time constraints. Driving up on Saturday and driving back on Sunday. It will feel like quite a luxury after the stingy vacations with my last employer.
Thanks for the reminder about the garbage, Bama. Yesterday I brought down a bag of old potatoes but left the kitchen garbage behind, so I need to do it today when I bring Germane out.
That is important work, L.Ann. I'm glad that you have your dsister to share it with.
trissie, Germane and I have both mistaken a shopping cart for a dog, so I can't make great claims about our eyesight, LOL.
Hi, Peaches

Trissie, what history is held in those old walls.
Doggedly, does your db’s health allow him to travel to see you on occasion? You’re welcome.

The important trash was those potatoes, they tend to become “scented” after awhile.
Laura, that’s a lot of balls you’re juggling. I love the old type of hardware store. We have a few that I can just wander around until the store tells me what I need. It’s like thrift shopping for me. I can’t go in with something in mind to purchase bc I’ll never find it but if I just walk around I’ll find something useful.
Finished my list. Breaking while the floor dries then I’ll get back to work.
Round 3:
Laundry
Wfd
Unpack some boxes and put away
Pets - brush, trim nails
