Peeking in … we’re doing math now???

Good morning, everyone. Ignoring that mean title.
Trissie, hope everyone got off without a hitch this morning.
Gma, your book club sounds very interesting.
Kittykatt and Doggedly, the things we put up with from our animals.
Doggedly, that must be one secure shower rod. Good luck. (((Germane)))
Kittykatt, ohhh pansies sound like a nice bit of fall color.
Helia, now I want to boil some eggs. Hope the get together goes well and also your menu.
LAnn, I just watched a dog challenge this weekend with long jumps off a deck into a long pool of water so I’m picturing you attempting this lol. Dogs are so smart and fun.
The air is a little brisk here, might just be the air conditioning but I like it. Bible has been read, dogs are outside, let me find my list and move it over to today.

Waving to
Bama,
L.Ann,
helia,
gma,
kittykatt,
Doggedly, and that's it, I think?
Home from work. And first full day of school, only ten more months to go!

I was up way too late trying to pit the plums - I have a 6 pound batch of pitted sliced plums ready to start plum butter (powidl -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powidl ) I fear there'a another batch in my near future, but my fingers are scratched and cut from handling the pits, so I told DH either it will have to wait a day, or he has to do the pitting. Plum season is really intense this year! And I have apricot puree in the fridge to be made into apricot jam (found some puree as I was cleaning out freezer on Saturday). And laundry and kids' school preps and dailies, so I better apply some butt glue dissolvent and get going!

Hello, all. I am enjoying YesterMe's efforts with the slow cooker. It came out very good: tangy and umami.
Thank you for the interesting start, trissie. All of these years, school student have been blaming ancient Greeks for their troubles with trig, and it should have been Indian mathematicians! Who knew?
Enjoy your time with the book club, Gma.
Thanks, Kittykatt. I will keep that in mind if Germane's dementia starts causing her distress. So far, she's pretty comfortable with it and the bouts don't last long.
Oh, look at that, I have already posted in the morning. I need to stop pointing fingers at Germane's confusion, LOL.
For the hanging harness, picture one of those big canvas shopping bags. Cut a hole in each corner of the bottom of the bag. Put the dog in the bag, with his feet poking out of each hole. Then hang the bag. This is what people have literally been doing, to cut their dogs' nails and trim their legs. So, now companies have started making harnesses on the same idea. It gives you two hands to work with, instead of trying to hold the dog with one hand. It might not work out, but it wasn't expensive and I was ordering something from Allie Express anyway. I was actually looking for a harness to support Germane's back end while we're walking, but they don't make them for such small dogs. Probably because of the height difference; you wouldn't have the same control over the back end as you would with a taller dog.
No, you were perfectly clear, helia. This is just my twisted mind entertaining me, LOL.
Our community pools do the same thing at end of season, L.Ann. I took Dreadnaught once, but Germane wouldn't be interested.
Bama, we HOPE that is one secure shower rod, LOL.
Your dfamily is going to eat well, trissie, with all of those fruits being cooked. Lately I have been less interested in chocolate and cakes, and more interested in dried fruit.
Hi, Peaches
