Thanks for the start, trissie! We use white boards at our school. I have my own collection of colored markers, which I love to use.
Oh, I'm excited for Little Bit's first day too, L Ann! Is this kindergarten for her?! Oh maybe not if she's out for only 2.5 hours.
Doggedly, I like BBC productions! Yes, as a teacher, I do recycle lessons, slides, etc. Dh does the same with his university classes, updating as needed. The first time through is a lot more work! Also, a teacher has to be organized to find the materials when needed later. . . I'm not always the best at that.
WTG Kitty on using the bit of sunshine well. Is it still sunny? Also, WTG on the progress with decluttering paperwork yesterday!

Last night, I got an email from the NH that my mom's interest in eating/ ability to eat seems to have significantly declined recently. She's pocketing her food more often, which I'd noticed too. She won't drink the ensures well either. I think this is the beginning of the last decline? Not sure how long it will take. Of course, she has rallied in the past - so who knows?

Last night, I did get the darks folded and put away, so that's done. And I made a little progress in the book I'm reading with AC for our meeting tomorrow afternoon.

Today, I might visit my mom. I need to get groceries again - I'm not doing well getting them in one trip, but also, we share our fridge with M, so I can't store everything we need. We've talked about getting a second fridge. I also need to make good progress in dd27's room because I'm scheduled all day tomorrow, and then dbro + dniece arrive on Friday. They don't care if the room is neat or not -- goodness, he keeps Mom's house pretty dirty. BUT dd27 cares about items in her room that dniece27 might get into. Dinner needs to be earlier at 6 bc dh is meeting a friend at 7pm.

Trissie, thanks for the start. When the girls were still in school they used electronic whiteboards, very fancy, in my day we would fight to see who got to dust the erasers on the old chalkboards lol. How’s the school week going?

Kittykatt, wish I was as intent on decluttering as you are, maybe I’d make some headway. That was considerate of the butcher to help you with your order before he retires.

LAnn, may little bit have a good first day and you enjoy some alone time.

Gma, I would not know what to do without my phone to fall asleep to. Such a bad habit of mine.

Laura, hope your neck feels better, maybe a cream would help, one for aches and pains.

(((Helia and dmom))), I’m glad your mom is close to you now and you can visit as well as keep an eye on things. It’s always hard but you’ll be comforted that you did all you could later. That last little bit will still hit hard but it will be a busy time too which seemed to help me not dwell on things.

We are getting a generator today, they showed up early and have cut the power off while they work, so the house is very quiet and getting warm. I need to do my chores before it gets hot inside so let’s get at it.

hmmmmm. an hour has gone by. Since I decided that I REALLY need to do at least an "inch by inch" in my LR, I gathered 2 skeins of yarn left from my last project, and brought them to my sewing area where I have a (small) cupboard for yarn. No room. Took all the yarn, needles, hooks, and the etc. stuff out, wahsed the cupboard well, returned things I need, gathered a pile for Salvation Army, and returned upstairs an hour later....

Time to get dressed and get dsis2 birthday in progress. Mail doesn't leave until 4pm, so I have a little itme.
I miss my phone, but it's a good lesson.
Today is my fasting day this week, so I am only drinking water. At least I won't dirty dishes and don't have to cook. I need to lose 20 pounds.

helia, that's very tough, but it's a good thing that you have moved your mom close and can spend as much time as possible - and not only you, but your entire family. It would have been a much tougher situation if she were still at the old nursing home!
you did good, gma! anything that needed to be done and is now done, counts, even if it is something else than you planned!

Ok back from school run and chatted with dd for a while. Laundry is going but it's my other load first cause I thought I washed it already. Have to do sheets next.

I'm still deciding what to do next. I may have gotten out of going to mom today. I could but dad was not worried atm if I couldn't. I told him cleaning. Outside. I'm going to make myself not feel guilty if I end up not doing much. I think I am going to make myself fresh coffee and warm up the rest of the oatmeal I made for ds. Then see what I can do.

Little Bit had a good first day. She is still at the church preschool for this year. She is doing the 4 year old program and is only going in the mornings. Her mom met us to take her out to lunch for her first day.

Hi, all! I did CUOP but will leave personal replies for later. I am going to dress and then walk dog maybe and then go to Costco. Today is the day. Should be minimal crowds. Germane seems bright and energetic today so it's a good day to walk her, but with the heat it might be better to leave it for later. But if I wear her out before leaving, she'll fall asleep faster.
