Weird pop up on my computer just now - "Microsoft defender has disabled your computer. Call....1-800- to reactivate your computer." or something similar. Immediately checked Windows Defender but all seems well. No threats found.
Some ta das:
-put away a box of light bulbs that had been sitting out - dh finally changed the bathroom light bulb
-two packages ready for mailing and my paltry proceeds from sale transferred back to me.
-deleted online items that have sold (and older ones not sold)
-rebooted laundry
-other things, can't remember
I need to prepare and eat brunch/breakfast before I continue.
WTG on getting to the gym, RR! So glad you're feeling well these days!

Re: Ta Da Tuesday! PWYC
Dishwasher is going. I sprayed the top of the stove with Dawn Powerwash.
I have been taking garbage out. Dh asked what was wrong so I told him "the kitchen looks like s...!" He offered to help from his sitting position on the couch. He still hasn't actually gotten up to do anything. The living room and bedroom garbage cans have been emptied. Both were full of tissues. Now they will go in the burn bag. It's too windy to burn today.
International Plowing Match starts today. Social media is telling us to expect up to 70,000 visitors over the next 5 days.
I have a note on the calendar to stay away from the landfill this week.

Re: Ta Da Tuesday! PWYC
Robert Redford has died, I read in F and G thread. So sorry.
Twins' that pop up is bound to be something totally bogus. Wouldn't it be awful to live one's life in that way, propagating those to prey on others.
blessed, all best wishes to you as you get the house ready for niece, who loves you. Yes, it feels oppressive - you can't help it and she can't help it. Remember she is not wanting to be house-police, just has had that thrust upon her, no fault of yours or hers. We are pulling for you!
We have had bad news from the construction guy. 3 more weeks to wait until he installs a dishwasher. It seems we've already been waiting for so long. Well, I've been waiting a really long time, actually. Sigh. I wonder if agreeing to take the one from dsisil, no matter how nice it may be, has caused us to have more delay. Are we waiting now on her complete kitchen re-do, when we wouldn't have had to if we'd just had one delivered on our own? HRH says he doesn't think that's it.
Dd27 called and told me about the kinda charming guy-present she has for her ddad's bday. Hopefully she can come sometime this week.
She has also been calling/working to get my cellphone plan redone with V erizon, getting me a better rate. That would be nice.
I listened to dd27 speak on the phone and remain convinced she has developed a pattern of speaking too quickly. I think this is symptomatic of a fast-paced work life that she allows to keep her on edge. She has developed some kind of "expert voice" that does sound knowledgeable but sets a rapid pace. I think she's had to merge (traffic metaphor) into a workplace in which everyone communicates at a certain speed to seem as though authority is easy for them. They're not angry with each other, just trying to keep up with the Joneses, in a way. I suggested she deliberately slow the speed of her speech and choose words carefully even when she may not need to. I hope she'll learn she can still convey authority and expertise even when she allows the conversation to be more relaxed. Maybe others will respond with some relaxed input, too. They might learn that they can brainstorm and learn from each other if they don't think it's a race. She probably needs her mother to come join her for lunch, but that can't happen. Too bad!

Re: Ta Da Tuesday! PWYC
More large pots and pans have been done. Sunday night and last night are almost a memory. I also did the large wooden cutting board. Now There are just the large wooden utensils and knives to do. Of course as soon as the kitchen looks better, it was lunch time.
Dh keeps telling me to go lay down. I think it's time to go read for a bit.
Harriet there is a fast talker that works at the library where we go for stitching every Monday morning. Herwordstumbleovereachotherlikethisfortheentiretwohours. UGH.

Re: Ta Da Tuesday! PWYC
Yes, I'm sure her mother joining her for lunch would be lovely, Harriet! For anything and everything, of course.
Some ta das:
-unpacked UPS delivery and gave myself Zepbound injection for the week
-folded load of laundry on kitchen table and put away
-cleaned mirror in DR - an odd job because I only notice streaks in evening when dh and I are eating at kitchen bar counter in another room
-rebooted our towels over to dryer, will put them back up when dry
-filed HOA paperwork in garage box of paperwork
-cleared top of small console in our little hall (that's where above paperwork was sitting, and a skirt I decluttered yesterday)
-started sweeping on porch
Sad news that I found a second dead hummingbird on our screened porch. So tiny. Don't know if I posted that I found one yesterday or Sunday. D dog sitter had propped door open while we were away and they found their way in.
This time will finish sweeping on porch - this is corners, cobwebs, and bottom rail. Then will run the roomba out there to clean up dog hair/dust elsewhere.
I stalled a little - but went online and ordered new mats for the screened porch - one from inside to porch, one from patio to porch. The ones we have a pretty sad.

Re: Ta Da Tuesday! PWYC
Had my lunch.
Mail has been processed.
Got the trash rebooted for next week the leaves I raked up the other day and stuff from the
chair I put together that came in a box, stuff inside the box. I think I'll put the box in the shed for now.
I put some planters on the patio away in the shed.
Cleaned up after my lunch prep.
68* feels cold to me today.
-----
Unloaded the trailer limbs filled up
three garbage cans I put them under the carport to not get
rained on. SO glad to have that task completed! Yea!
-----
I have done more on pages in my planner.
Got more chairs put away for winter off the patio as they have not been used this year at all.
Duds are in the dryer now.
Finished one episode of a show I've been watching.
It's warmed up the 78* and feels divine outside now.

Re: Ta Da Tuesday! PWYC
And again I'm taking my break.
Ta da! Screened porch floor swept around edges/corners and de-cobweb-ed. Roomba is going out there now. I expect it will have a lot of dog hair and dust and need emptying often, and filter changed, but it's worth it. The sun came out so the porch was warm. ma
Ta da! Finished a little early so broke down cardboard boxes in garage and retrieved a large one from recycle bin to try to make more room. Dh had stuffed it in there, and if the recycling had been taken out last week by dog sitter, we'd be fine. Now it doesn't get picked up until next Tuesday. So we'll take cardboard to recycling center.
Ta da! Glass isn't picked up here so I sorted our collection into colors in preparation for a trip to recycling center.
I think that next I'm going out:
-post office (two packages and check HOA mailbox)
-car wash
-load up recycling and take it while I'm out
Oh, didn't get this posted, still at home. Had to empty dust bin of Roomba and change filter. Loading up car now...

Re: Ta Da Tuesday! PWYC
I have missed a couple medical posts from ya'll - Twins', I meant to say how concerning it is that a brand-new mother would contract a bacterial infection at hospital and then endure ICU. Is she home yet, I hope? Looking around to hear from blessed's dmother after Urgent Care visit today.
Another tada has been, I think, 9 (?) of the most tedious cuts for my sewing project. No more cutting today, I don't think - it bothers the neck to be so tense for too long, and one mistake could make a big disappointment. I've narrowed the next fabric choice down to 3 possibilities. Trying to decide how much I want all these gifts to be exactly the same. If they just must be identical to each other, to satisfy my heart on this, then I guess I've decided on the one of which I have the largest amount.
