A late good morning to you all. I woke early with good intentions and yet here I am, almost lunchtime before getting to work. How does that even happen?
Trissie, is that the storm that brings babies? Hope dT’s hand really is ok. Daily pie should be a thing. Regarding the Tony/Zina show, I do wonder if current events have lowered viewership. It’s a good show. We don’t have WiFi so use my phone as a hotspot and it will only “allow” us to watch one episode before it freezes up so I have seen 3-4 episodes so far but I guess it keeps us from binging it all and forces us to get up and move lol.
Kitty, so sorry about Matilda, at least you now know she has a reaction to a certain drug and have that noted so the vet can suggest an alternative if needed.
Dogged, good catch on the slow cooker. That would not have been a good thing to discover hours later. What is in a cottage roll? I’m imagining a cabbage leaf with ground beef and veg…
Helia, what age is the class you’re being observed in? Hope it all goes smoothly.
Laura, I hope band becomes more enjoyable once your pain has eased up. My dds’ were both in high school band and played in the local orchestra group. I loved going to the orchestra concerts. A mix of senior adults, young adults, and seniors in high school, sharing knowledge and friendships. I’m so sorry to read about your parents and their current situation.
List time!

Hi, all. The day is not following the original plan, but it is taking its own course. We were woken up to a call from the groomer to ask if Germane could come in then, because they'd had a cancellation. I said that we could come in in half an hour, but it was closer to an hour by the time that we got there. Between me being creaky when I first wake up and Germane's dementia being at it worst when she first wakes up, it just took a while for Germane to use her pee pads and for me to get cleaned up. I was happy to go in early though. I suspect that it means that the groomer can end her day early, and we all appreciate found time. I think that the young groomers in the salon were her kids, so it's probably a PD day at the schools.
Back home, I have had my coffee and breakfast, have checked and turned off the cottage roll, and I am fighting to keep my eyes open so might sneak back off bedward for a while.
It will be the observer's chance to learn how to navigate controlled chaos, helia.
Often, just writing out the rant provides the relief, and we don't need to send it anywhere, trissie. Good on you, focussing on the positive.
I think it's so much worse for you, when your work requires movement as well as your work around the home, Lauralind. I just have to avoid the trap of thinking "I'll coast today because it's a bad day, and pick up the slack tomorrow." Because tomorrow is here and I'm feeling the same, and it will be easier on me if I pack in stages during the week and not be trying to do that at the same time as packing the rental car and then doing the long drive.
Bama, the stork that brings babies is white. This must be the bird that brings brats.
A cottage roll is the pig's shoulder, rolled up and tied. It's cured, so it's like ham, but a cheaper cut.
Happy equinox to you too!

Doggedly, I know it was a rushed morning getting you both ready and out the door but that’s a big item to mark off the list. I looked up a photo and oh my gosh, I wouldn’t want that to be the first thing a baby sees. I love all of God’s creatures and I’m sure he’s a beauty to someone. Thanks for the roll explanation, I wasn’t even close.

Now you have me curious enough to go and look up a picture of that bird, Bama.
Germane is happy to be back home, and looking much better.

hi
Peaches!
Dogged, glad you were able to save time, eventhough losing a slow morning would not be worth it for me!
Bama, I hope one of the streaming services here will pick up Tony&Ziva soon - I don't want to go pirate to get it! But I love me my stealthy dark-haired ninja romance
having a major case of IDonnaWanna... it's 8:30pm and I just want to settle down and read, but first I need to get this house under control and finish what I started in the master bedroom.
