I know that your dfather has been vetoing outside help and just putting the extra work on you. Is it possible to get some help with your own house to free things up for you a bit?

I have to ask about the coat: any fall coat I have had, would be damaged by the heat of an iron. Is your trench coat not treated for waterproofing? And does it hold up to ironing?

Dogged, I have quite frankly never thought of it, but I've been ironing it every year without any damage. Just went to check - machine washable at 40C, iron at low heat It's a light cream "business trench coat", not a sports one, basically the kind in which you see your usual banker or lawyer running around. And I mean, we don't really do non-machine washable clothes in this house, especially when it comes to light colored stuff

Greetings all! I didn't know about a woodcock either. And to find out that there really is a bird called a snipe! I thought snipes were completely fictitious, somehting to send greenhorn campers out to search for as a prank.
Sorry to hear about Matilda's cystitis being back. I wonder if she has a bladder stone? We had a dog that developed one that was the full size of her bladder - about the size of a ping pong or golf ball. It was removed surgically - that was more than 40 years ago.

My roofers showed up at 0630-0645. I had gone to bed around 0130, so about 5 hours of sleep. They covered all my landscaping with tarps. They are very noisy! I have baked scones - they enjoyed the treat! And banana bread - including some as 12 muffins.
Mother had a good output yesterday. I have called the NH today and the same crew is there. They promised to do as well today.

My kitchen is a mess after baking, and wasn't very good prior either. I'm working on loading my dw, clearing counters, getting a "path" through. It's garbage day, so I can bring another bag to the street, and start a new basket.

Listening to the public radio station, classical music station that has NO local, regional, national, or international news. Just weather, that we need to know. Handel, Wagner, Bach, Mozart, Debussy have been featured. I might put on the 1812 Overture to celebrate if I get the K cleaned!

For planner fill in at some point - Yesterday I brushed dogs, little man, tux, prissy, autumn; walked dogs, dh mowed small dog yard, I cooked, tidied some, folded my tops out of dryer, cleaned kitchen, spot cleaned floors, gave tux tinic, …

Tomorrow is trash day so today I will try to fill the bins up.
