had a panic moment -
getting back to work is a good thing.

mom's room is clean - lightly bleached - vacuum and bleached light for wood floors - done :D
nurse called to set up an appointment for tomorrow so that I can learn the pick line -

Next: kitchen counters/stove/floors etc.
clean the powder room.

First part of next week is rainy according to the forecast.

Waiting on a package.
It came yarn disappointed that it's not as soft or as large as some
by that company. Oh well.

On our walk saw the turkeys in someone's yard. Five of them.
I watered the beds.

Trying to decide if my tummy is up to spicy type foods or not & if
I'm up to dealing with groc. shopping I have food here and I'm am SO glad that I was here when DD called

Hi everyone…

My life is not as busy as some of y’all so I just use a monthly calendar to write down my appointments and such.

I don’t follow any schedule with my house blessing with the exception of my morning routines, removal of footprints and my “ see it, do it” philosophy.

Course Thursdays I do laundry, but I have a battery operating vacuum cleaner so some times I may end up vacuuming the main part of my house several time a day depending on what Sweetie May track in from outside.

I have a light colored rug in my living room area and Sweetie has gotten forgetful about cleaning his shoes before coming in. I ended up putting 3 washable throw rugs over my main rug so I can keep it clean.

All of this falls under “choose your battles” when you have someone with Alzheimer’s living in your home. I’ve learned to be flexible and adaptable as well.

1/2 the kitchen is put away - cleaned counters and stove with bleach water
vacuumed and dust floors and trim
rinsed floors - I shouldn't bc it's wood - but rinsed with light bleach water

next: lunch :D , move kitchen table vacuum, trim dust - rinse floor with light bleach water, clean the powder room

I forgot my meds - time to do that.
overwhelmed left me - :D

I did nap a bit. It's rainy here today, just a little off and on rain. We need it and it looks like heavier rain overnight and tomorrow. I was cold - it's warm enough out but I was just feeling chilled, so napping in a warm bed felt good. I slept through my mentor Zoom at 12:30, however. We rescheduled to Friday...

Dh came through and I thanked him profusely for his clean up efforts. I told him sometimes we talk about the house fairy here and he suggested he be called DHF (dear house fairy) for the day. He's gone to CVS now, somehow when he worked on his list of meds for Medicare sign up he ended up with a drug plan that doesn't cover his CGM in the beginning, so he's been working through that.

LadyM, you know I love paper! Don't tempt me, I love that little notebook. I recently ran across this - I'm not converting to it but I did order the free starter pack of 15 or something cards, so I could see it. https://ugmonk.com/

mom's oxygen was 87 part of the night so she can't come home until they find out why. mom wants to come home.
poor thing. They want to do a sleep study - poor mom.
it's time for her to come home and be at peace as much as one can be.

I will finish my work in the kitchen

I handled another wave - spoke to dd older and she is calmer now , spoke to nurse with brother on the phone - he is not angry right now. he spoke to me in a well tempered way. I am allowed now to talk to any dr./nurse. he just has to give his consent. he kind of hesitated but he said I can't ask questions.

he really doesn't understand much of the hospital ways or hospice - but why would he.
letting everyone talk is helping and being peaceful when listening has been good for everyone.

I am tired and a little drained - time for work - children in the neighborhood are home - I love hearing those little voices across the yards

I am glad that i pushed through this morning and followed the cards. It feels good to be on the other side of them.

I am 10 minutes away from picking DD14 up from school and making the trip to the city for her hair & bath. While that happens, I will pick up a couple prescriptions and do a restock of fresh, refrigerator & freezer items.
