Yesterday was a lot of social activity with church, CG2, and then dinner at the girls' place + 2 of their friends + the Cs. We got home a little before 9 pm.

Getting here late. The jigsaw called me and I worked on it for a bit this morning-- but I didn't really have time to do that. Egads. It's like an addiction -- and this is why I don't have jigsaw puzzles out very often. But it sure is fun!!

I'll keep this short and quick - I hope!

Hi, Peaches

I had a nice invitation upon my arrival home: Thanksgiving dinner with my friends' family is at the daughter's house in town, rather than the parents' house that I would need to rent a car to get to. Very good news, as Thanksgiving is this coming weekend.

I got up with a raging headache and sore all over. The ibuprofen was out of its depth, but eating my usual rice and vegetables and making a pot of coffee has provided at least temporary relief. I will use this time to spiff myself, prepare the dog's pen and return the car to the rental company. I have come to suspect that my usual pickup/dropoff time hits the manager right at his lunch hour, so I'm going to try to return the car as early as possible.

Dogged, I am reading a feminist book about how the system is hurting us and how it's costing the society as whole a lot of money - it's far from "fun", but it's a very interesting read and gives me a lot of good ammo for discussions with less progressive people. But it does make me appreciate my own husband!
