hello again - mom is back to sleep - it takes the helper and I to get mom up right now. she pushes her granny Franny down and she is really strong. she did not want to get up to go to bed.
she ate well but with her eyes closed.
we had her nurse visit outside - the nurse, mom, myself, dd younger, helper and my brother - it was nice. -dogs as well.
my brother was nice - very nice. it's amazing the difference. No degrading or angry voices nothing. He found out that he doesn't have a heart problem after all, and that they don't need to do anything yet for his other issue. that is a blessing.
from 8:30 until now at 12:30 - mom and those activities took 4 hours.
feeding mom between dd younger and I took about an hour.
helper washed mom down which was really nice.
sitting outside was nice -the nurse stayed for an hour as well.

Nope. Our small town of about 1000 people still does it the old school way. We did get a grant to upgrade the water meters but it will take a couple years for the one water person to get them all replaced while still doing all of his normal duties.can you go online to see if the water bill is paid?
Homeschool has been accomplished and lessons checked. DS17 left for work.
Errands accomplished -
** City hall - the water bill hadn't been paid so we got that done. I suppose someday I will probably find the missing water bill tucked away somewhere. I just realized that DH folds papers up and puts them in his billfold. I ought to check there. REminding myself this is small stuff....Let it go...
** Tag agency to get tags for our 2 pickups that we have owned for a decade or so. One of the pickups VIN number doesn't match between the insurance papers and the state system so they won't let us renew the tags. Didn't this happen last year? I remember spending time getting something like this fixed. Who changed the vin # on the insurance or state records? ARGH. Am I going to go through this process every year? REminding myself this is small stuff....Let it go...
** Grocery store for 3 gallons of milk, 4 gallons of water, case of water, a couple dozen lemon yogurts, honey ham sandwich slices and 2 lbs of Troyer Desert Cheese. I was frustrated when i got home and discovered we had 2 lbs of this cheese instead of the one lb that I ordered at the deli. After I placed the order then I walked away and left DH there while they were slicing it. I strongly suspect that DH told them to do 2lbs. It doesn't really matter but we won't eat that much before it molds. This is high quality cheese and comes with a high price tag. REminding myself this is small stuff....Let it go...
I feel cranky today and irritated by things that usually don't bother me.

Dh went to the grocery store for me and actually remembered to get us a case of water. I will still have to go and get some other things, but at least I won't have to get water.

yay on him getting the water d cathy!
I understand d lady - we lived in a small town once and it was totally different where we live now.
yay on homeschool
errands yay
hope you feel less cranky as the day goes on. Sometimes it just happens that way - it will pass.
finished my bible study online.
they meet on Saturday but sometimes I can make it and sometimes I can't.
listened a bit more to the study book.
washed the walls above the stove and some of the cabinets.
mom and helper are sleeping
I will wake up mom in 1/2 an hour. d helper doesnt' want to wake mom up but if mom doesn't get up she becomes so so weak. We found that even when mom was well, other caretakers would let her sleep all day and then mom would be up all night. (she then gets close to bed sores). it's not good for mom's brain either.
it's like letting a toddler sleep late in the afternoon past dinner.
started on microwave but I am short - I got the ladder and will attempt to get that done. - done
now for the top of the fridge-i always assume it will be longer - it's done.

Re: Magic Monday PWYC
Scrubbing the master bathroom happened. I did have to get down in the floor a few times and that part is quite wearying. Smart-ish watch says, "Want to sit a minute and take a rest?" Sigh. Don't know what exactly it is reacting to - heart rate up longer than it expects, maybe.
Mopped the kitchen floor. Other cleaning.
Watched some live streaming from quilt show/market. The fellow just doesn't have the same taste I do. Flies past fascinating quilts to get to funny ones. Spent so much time on one that was just an image of a QR code while masterpieces in vivid colors were only blurs on his screen and gone. But I'm grateful that this kind of thing can happen at all - I couldn't travel that far, and the cost would be lots.

Re: Magic Monday PWYC
Ugh. Mind like a sieve here. I started a post upstairs a couple of hours ago but apparently lost it when I shut down that computer.
I had a great workout - new trainer - owner/trainer was out today. It takes someone new awhile to get to know you, and I knew she was taking it easy with me so I let her know I could do more. Ended up having great workout on a day when my motivation was pretty low. I didn't get there last week, was only there once the week before.
I worked upstairs some today on the DAR application. RR knows how laborious it is to get the documents together, scan and copy, them, and all the detail on the application itself. (The Register for my chapter makes me do it myself because I can. She works so hard I don't mind doing it, but I wouldn't want her job for anything.)
I'm amazed at all you get done bw2. Good for you for being sure that she doesn't sleep too much, and so glad dbro was better today. It's nerve-wracking not knowing how he'll be, isn't it?
Amazing load of groceries LadyM. I used to get four gallons of milk for two weeks when dkids lived here and sometimes that wasn't enough. I'm glad you're able to take the long view:
I'm glad you got some healthy, easy, foods, Harriet! Sounds yummy too! Hoping with you that the dishwasher installation goes smoothly tomorrow. Oh no, you're well enough for bathroom floor scrubbing? No excuse for me. I recently noticed that some of the floor grout - which I scrubbed during the COVID shutdown - is discolored again.
Nancy's been busy too - and enjoy your walking routes! We walk the same little circle time after time...
Tomorrow is the day that I drop into a Zoom meeting group to discuss my NGSQ article that was published a year ago. I won't be there for the first part, when they critique the article and work out their observations. I'm excited to do it - only thing on my schedule for tomorrow, and dh is out tomorrow p.m. too. Although, he's taking his car for work tomorrow and I have to bring him home from the garage when he drops it off, and maybe again later.
A ta da: did run the Roomba today. I'm trying to get in the habit of doing it on Mondays.

Re: Magic Monday PWYC
Worked on getting the trash out, new liners in. We've already done some of that with more that could go. It's not recycling this week.
HRH did the kitty potty chores. Also, his own laundry extra, even though it didn't really need to be rushed.
All of this happening on Monday instead of Tuesday because we're getting ready for a completely shut down kitchen with workmen in it for all of Wednesday morning, probably. They say they want to be started by 8 a.m. and previously we've noticed that they tend to be early, not late.
Trying to make some decisions on October efforts toward staying creative, making sure there is fun in my days.
((Cathy)), rant away. This is a good place for it.
Twins', and we are EXCITED for you that you get to discuss your article tomorrow. Someone may learn something from you and your work.
blessed, good job on surmounting your obstacles to clean your kitchen.
