Morning all. Helian that sounds like a lovely day yesterday. Productive and something fun.
Frenchie that is great ds helping cook. A lot of patience... but somehow I don't even remember the transition between painful coordination and suddenly at like 12 or so he was able to cook a full meal himself and teach me knife skills... that is a great start.
Ohh gma such a trying time for you. I am so glad all of you are surrounding mom working together. Sorry the home didn't work out. But maybe this is the better way for now??? I'm so terrible with words but wishing you all comfort as you care for mom.
Glad you got a nice slow morning trissie. Sounds restful.
And a busy Sunday for kittykat too.
Yesterday felt very productive here too. I never finished my post in the evening. And I left a lot of things undone. But my living room is a world of difference. All I did was vacuum. And decide to move all the furniture except the big heavy couch. As I shoved the small red one around it landed on the other wall freeing up the windows. Without the desk that disappeared a while ago that direction just feels less cluttery. I moved my big chair to the corner by the piano again.
Except there's 2 giant bowls cabbage
.. a dining table that just needs a quick straighten. I made supper and just plain left it all not cleaned up. So much done and yet leaving it all unfinished just looks like I did nothing at all.
There is also a giant pile of firewood outside. The boys didn't get back till almost 4. And ds 15 had a good day. It was work getting him out the house at 8 but quality time with brother and cousin. He endured and thrived a day of physical work where a year ago he would have been whining and not moving after a couple hours. And the best part? My class 1 driver son gave his brother a driving lesson in the old beater that who cares if he put it in the ditch a couple times. He has a long way to go learning steering and control. Eeeks and he's supposed to be able to write his learners test in a month? I hope ds26 does that a couple more times before then...
Looks like we're doing stuff for Thanksgiving tomorrow. Except I think ds and ddil are home now. She was at her parents place preparing food and lil j ended up getting sick. Very sad little guy so she brought him home to daddy. Oh well that's on my agenda this morning. Check in with sister this morning and see if she's going to invite mom and dad to her house. Dad was saying yesterday it would be nice to have it at his house so mom would be comfortable. But we think she would be excited to go to sister's house again and get out. Plus I should go spend the day there and do some detail cleaning if it should be there...
Oh and busy morning now. Church. I'm not on music but lots happening. Baptisms. Even a mini wedding of a couple of widows who are new believers and have been living together for a while. Wanting to do it right... lunch after church. I better get moving.
