Morning all. Way to go kittykat on all the Declutter and take advantage of the weather.

Way to go trissie on putting the bad week behind. Are you off today?

Blessings on baby birthday for helian and family. A special time indeed.

I think I'm going to use this to think good first. Let's see. Ds and ddil and dgs nicely settling in to a cozy little house out of the small trailer that is not going to be warm in a bit and not enough space for a crawling adventure loving Lil j. And a very good report for ds15 at school. Parents time the other day. I can read his writing. He's completing everything in English. In math he's in practical workplace math but he's on par to possibly get credit for grade 11 math as well. Thriving in wood shop except the too big group. And sports is another story. He just finished up rugby till spring.. and went last weekend to a running meet. Their team qualified for provincial.. 12 hours away on Vancouver Island? He so far wants to go... yikes but I will do everything I can to encourage him to do it. Experience of a lifetime.

In other news it has been a challenging time here too. All this talk of home care fell out the bottom when they promised every day care in the morning and lost staffing right away. Dad would not take the twice a week mid afternoon shower help cause that's just not practical and not when he needs help. Now he's sick. He caught a cold... Hopefully it's not going to work it's way worse. Mom is in more pain and he panicked.. but for good reason. We brought her to er yesterday. Surprise?? Not... a uti... makes sense. At least it so far isn't causing the dimensia to exaggerate.. now I hope she can stomach the antibiotics. She doesn't eat a lot anymore. I don't know what to do cause I don't think I am even very able to help very much. And the dr would have kept her in hospital to give dad some rest but it's completely full with people waiting for beds.

Anyway that's life here... . I'm also thankful.. yesterday dh was off and I left work early to go with the dr visit. Meanwhile dh went and washed all my bedding. Traded the mattress from our bed for the better quality one in dd room that only she slept on in her teen years. And put both beds back together. Clean bed with a different mattress. Maybe it's better? Only thing he didn't do was fold the load that was ahead of all that. I could come home to clean done bedding.

I better get in the shower and get ready for work.

lauralind, there's a lot of good in your life now! The warm house for DS and his family is a big thing now that it's October! I was working from home today, so a bit let hassle, but not a free day either.

Hello all! It's still dark here at 7 a.m. The C section is scheduled for 7:30, and we'll hear after that from ds, I hope. We'll go in when they're able to have visitors. We're at the house now. Her mother went in with her.

trissie, I hope you can shake that headache. Looks like some good TaDas for anyone, let alone someone who isn't feeling well. I hope your time at the cottage is lovely and restful.
Always nice to see you Harriet! Now I need to look up Kitty's draught excluders.

WTG on the laundry and dishes, Doggedly. Are you vertical yet?
WTG on the decluttering, Kitty. Your cats are certainly mischievous. Kingsley, ds' cat, just climbed all over dh and me and our laptops. I gave him a head rub, nd then he was done. Mini, the younger cat, doesn't like human attention that much -- but is very playful. I'm not sure she's even 1yo yet.

Payroll week is over, and I'm home one hour earlier, as usual on Fridays (I work 8 hours every day but 7 hours on Fridays). DS9 will walk himself home, he should soon be here. I will go and get DS7 home soon. MrNG is supposed to collect the weekly grocery order that I managed to place yesterday night.
So many things to get done, inside and outside the house. I can do a bit tonight maybe.

Still no word yet from the hospital. I'm feeling jittery.

In the meantime, dh and I have tidied their kitchen and made a meal plan for the next couple of days. I've emptied their garbage and recycling (too full for us), checked out their food supplies, and made a shopping list.

I'm going to do my back exercises and jump in the shower next.
