Dh went to have bloodwork done. After he got home and we had coffee/hot chocolate I told him I was going back to bed. I slept another 3 hours.

Good thing the dishwasher did some work, because nobody/nothing else did!

LOL -- Cathy -- I slept till 1:00 pm!!! I could not believe it when I looked at the clock! I guess my body needed it.
I stayed busy all day yesterday and tomorrow will be a very full day, so it's good, I guess, that I got my rest. -- My watch is "congratulating" me for reaching my 8 hour sleep goal. (I got 8 hrs and 42 minutes!)

I've got to get some tickets online. Wish me luck!

Tickets online -- probably priced a little high, but they are still the lowest price in the lower level of the stadium. If they don't sell by tonight, I'll revise. DH always hated to do that. He priced really low. But one day I did the math, and y'all, we pay $150 PER SEAT, (above the face value of the ticket) just to have the "privilege" of buying! If dbil ever wanted to give these up, I'd be ready to do that! I guess I could just tell him, I can't afford this, I am through. But I know dh would be rolling over in his grave if we gave these up before dgrands got past college age.
It was sooo important to dh that we keep that condo (he wanted full ownership of it and dbil wouldn't agree to that.) Now, seeing how things have panned out -- I haven't used it since dh passed away, and I haven't been to a ballgame since he passed away. DGS has made the comment that he MIGHT not go to AU... he MIGHT want to stay closer to home. Considering his autism, I think this might be a fine idea. (He will do fine academically, but socially, it might be a struggle.)
As is right now, dbil pays all the condo costs, utilities, etc, and I pay all the ticket costs, and then we balance out at the end of the year. Usually, he owes me money -- so I'm certainly glad dh didn't win that little battle for the condo!

Anyway -- obviously, I have wasted the better part of this day. I'm still sitting in the t-shirt I slept in. It is certainly a good thing that dmom cancelled that doctor's appointment!
I know ds will probably call in a few minutes (he usually calls while waiting in school pick-up line) so I will take a shower after I talk to him, then get my Wmart order placed, and go to town for post office and produce -- which I will get at the smaller grocery store. Today's priorities were WHB, so I will also put cleaning bathrooms on the agenda.

I obviously have those donwanna feelings, blessed.

I hated that I didn't watch the end of the ballgame! I had no idea it went so long until I cuop here!

Rose -- 23,000 steps!!! That is unreal! I don't think I approached that when we were at Disney World! WOW.

I hope you feel better by the time you read this, Twins. And I hope all goes well with houseguests!

Nancy, I didn't even put my trash out Sunday. It was so wet and miserable I just said to heck with it. I can get by -- the can is huge, and I haven't even filled up the trash compactor bag yet. I mean, ALMOST, but I can still squeeze a little in there. Then I'll use Wmart bags for the rest of the week. * I am so thankful dinlaws suggested so STRONGLY that we get a trash compactor. It has been a lifesaver. Before we built this house, we lived in town and had trash pick-up twice a week; here only once a week. (Although I'm right next door to the twice/week folks! )

I have not been as active sort of achy it's Cole and I did get a few of the outside tasks & stuff accomplished.
Put one lawn chair away. Cushions for two different ones now in the other shed.
Checked the mail.

Can is back from the curb.

The planner I found that needed related has been delt with.
I have to make myself walk and have not been anywhere since Sat.
Sort of freaks me out about people saying they will steal your cart after getting groc.
I want to go before the 1st of the month. I do that any way.
I made bread over done a bit am seriously considering retirieng my baking adventures.
It did not raise very well I need to put it in a smaller pan.
Tastes okay but so hard to stay out of it!
Ddoggo thinks the crusts are devine!

I've been in a "mood" yesterday would have been an Ann. date. I was able to ignore it for the most part
but LH got two pieces of junk mail sigh. So that was hard to ignore.

Leaves are turning and pretty these days here.
It's cloudy here now.

We are back from a walk it was brisk but rewarding saw 5 deer and a interesting big bird
in the tree of the house next to mine.

Did up the dishes after dinner.
Got my steps in today yea!

Twice a week garbage pick up? Wow! We get garbage pick up once every 2 weeks, with compost and recycling every week. Even when I lived in a large city, it was only ever once per week.

I am making salmon casserole and working at doing pots and pans. (re-doing dh's job from yesterday.) I watched him "wash" his bowl from lunch that had tomatoes and salad dressing. He turned on the tap, gave the bowl a once over under the running (cold) water and put it in the rack. No hot water or soap. "Great job, dear!" ... not.

Yesterday one of the ladies mentioned that she wants to do a Christmas gift for her 3 sisters that looks like a string of Christmas lights, but it's knitted. She was saying how many colours of yarn she needed to buy at Michael's. I told her I had most of the colours and I would bring the bag next Monday if she wanted to wait a week. I am giving her yellow, orange, red, green and grey and black. The grey is for the top of each little light and the black is for the cord. The only colour I didn't have was the bright blue. While I had all my yarn pulled out of the tiny closet, I filled another bag for the other lady who does lap covers for senior's homes and the third bag will be donated leaving me with less than 10 balls of yarn that all fits in one tote! YAY!!

I bet that will be beautiful, Cathy -- the knitted string of Christmas lights. I think the lights are my favorite part of the decorations -- they are also the most infuriating, because I insist on doing my own on the tree -- I don't have a pre-lit tree, and I'm afraid to buy one because I've heard so many people talk about having trouble when they start going bad.

Y'all -- a big JOY -- I have already sold those tickets! In less than an hour they were GONE! Face value (each) is $80 and I am getting $103.50 for them. That was the top of the range S#eat G#eek recommended and they sold in 50 minutes! I can't believe it.
LOL -- dsisil said I should go into business as a ticket broker. ROFLOL... that is a huge joke! I'm still not getting the $150 fee we pay for each seat... I would have to sell those tickets for what... $230 each??? Nobody is going to pay that. But I have to say, S#eat G#eek knows what it is doing. They recommend a price range based on where your seats are and what the demand for a particular game is, and so far, staying in that range, my tickets have sold almost immediately after I post them. If I sell to family and friends, I just let them have them for face value. It's printed right there on the ticket; I don't want them to think I'm taking advantage of them.
I just told ds, when these kids get out of college, I am ready to tell dbil if he wants six seats, he can buy six seats. We could still come out ahead if ds wanted to go to a couple games a year.
Sports in general is just a rip-off, and this NIL business has made it a thousand times worse. Today, college athletes are making more money than their whole family has ever seen in a lifetime, they have no loyalty to the school -- just transferring to the next better offer year after year, no appreciation for a free college education... I think it's the worst thing that has ever happened to college sports. Plus, I suspect we will see more gambling scandals like what just broke in the NBA, so there's no integrity to the games. Look up what happened after the GA/AU game re: the officials.
Anyway -- I do not miss going to these college games, except I miss the dgrands being little and excited about everything.

I got mom asleep around an hour ago and dd younger just came and woke her up - I know it has been the right thing but it's been a very day with mom.
What is the next right thing: I have no idea

I've eaten as the instructions say for the scan tomorrow. But I've been told it doesn't matter for me, since they just want no blood sugar issues and mine is always fine. But HRH got ahold of the info in the explanation and worried we didn't have the right things to eat, even made a grocery order extra. Sigh. We won't get to those items until after the scan. I wonder - because once my blood sugar actually went down into the seventies from eating according to their instructions, so I think this will be overreacting.

I made the pineapple and poblano skillet meal today and had that for lunch and supper. Even with HRH having a serving, too, there are leftovers - it's a good-sized recipe. It does at least have a little fruit.

Have some stuff Idonwannatalkabout. You know those scenes in movies where the person says to someone else, Idonwannatalkaboutit, and you know they are pouting. So, I am taking some time to pout today, and be irritated that it takes time to do the pouting that must be done. . Also, Also, I am the one who is right. As Nancy says, I'm "just sayin'".

How have I worked smarter, not harder. Um, I've set aside the difficult learning experiences and pushed forward on the simpler methods that will get things done. That doesn't stop me from keeping my creative learning experiences going, just takes the deadline-y guilty-should-ys out of the picture. Also, the naughty-oughties. No oughts. Those are in arithmetic.

The baseball players are in a contest and they're just that good, that's all. Surprising to all, it takes for-ev-er to decide one game, they're so good. Genuine love of the game calls the attention to the privilege, really, to see them play. These games will be on all the statistical trick questions for decades.

I put a prayer request for all those in peril in the path of this, the second greatest storm in the Atlantic in recorded history.
