Homeschool is done for the day. DS17 wasn't thrilled that I added another curriculum to his assignments, but he didn't complain. He asked "WHY?" so i gave him my reasons for doing it and then he got busy and got it done. I didn't need to pull out the trump card - If you don't like doing homeschool that I assign you then you can choose to return to public school. We both know there is NO WAY he is going to choose giving up his freedom to do what he wants as soon as assignments are done.

I used the last of the cajun turkey in an Alfredo pasta dish. I am pleased with the finished result.

DH fell today and a few things were broken. Thankfully it was only STUFF that broke and he wasn't hurt.

Hello, again! I have picked DC up from school and picked up a prescription for DD (bless DC, they were willing to run inside when the drive-thru was backed up). Cleaned up my lunch, did my exercises, and now I'm trying to convince myself to do some dishes. There aren't that many of them, but they're large -- a large crockpot and a soup pot.

blessed, you are way more on top of the holidays than I am! And look at Nancy sprucing up the place, too!

Oh, LadyM! Didn't you just have the a/c on last week? We say around here, "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes" -- it must go double for you! Oh, I'm so glad LordM wasn't hurt! Cajun Alfredo sounds yummy!

And look at Rose and Twins making do as necessary -- I don't suppose you two often have reason to scrape, though.

OK, Mystery, enough socializing for you -- time go get those dishes done, or at least started!

My head is swimming with these citations and the DAR threatens that they send applications back for corrections when citations are wrong. The chapter registrar and another checks the app before it goes off but I hate the way the DAR cites records. Enough of a vent.

I had to quit upstairs - Instacart order got here and I needed to put away, and I needed a shower. Both are accomplished now.

Next is to walk the ddog.

Home made "Chinese" food will be hitting the table in less than 5 minutes. Lots of veggies and noodles. It smells so good in here!

Oh, blessed, I'm so sorry to hear that an ER visit (those are expensive) won't be covered by insurance for dd. Once we called the office of Insurance Commissioner of our state and briefly explained why we thought an emergency should be covered even though we didn't go to the "right" hospital. They asked us to send info by email, and they agreed with us that we had a point. Within a day, suddenly it was covered again. I don't know if it would make a difference for dd - it did once for us.

Ouch, ouch for LadyM's dh! Hoping he doesn't end up with any bruising.

Tonight we are to have sleet, and road conditions tomorrow could be chancy. HRH's appt is at 10, I believe - a lot better than it might have been. Not so far away.
