Quick math solution to find degrees F... double the Celcius temp and add 30. so 13 + 13 = 26 + 30 = 56F. Done on Goo gle it comes to 55.4, so it's close. My temp here today was 4C, so 38 F, Just in case any of the posters from the USA need a quick math equation.

Dh is stretched out on the bed. I watched some news and checked in here on my way to go stitch.

Here's hoping that LucyLee had a productive day and that Twin's Mom is enjoying NY.

Just looking in. Our first night here and we had our light supper in the hotel bar with Times Square billboards outside. Got here perhaps 5 pm, light rain out and we were ravenous too. Dh already asleep. I was out of bed way early at 5:30 am this am.

We see dd tomorrow evening, and a show, “Oh Mary,” a dark comedy about Mary Todd Lincoln. https://www.broadway.com/shows/oh-mary/ ... mUQAvD_BwE

Not sure what else we’re doing tomorrow.

When I sat down to write my blessings, my mind kept drifting to the disappointments, challenges, frustrations, and the many moments when things didn’t go as planned. But after reflecting on my day, I realized I truly had many blessings, and I was letting the negative moments overshadow them. It wasn't a perfect day, but it was a good day.

3 blessings -
** Christmas lights in front of our home are now over 8k lights. DS17 did an amazing job putting them all up.
** DNephew and wife had their 2nd daughter this afternoon. Mom and baby are doing great. This is a huge week for Dnephew because in addition to having a new baby he is head coach of high school football team that plays for state championship on Saturday. They won state last year and their win/loss record is 26-0. Hopefully DNephew can keep the team humble and focused this week to win the final game of this year football season.
** I'm intimidated when I just think about fasting but am finding enough courage to give it a try. I'm starting with a very low bar and minimum expectations. My first fast was 14hours. I'm trying again with hopes of beating that time….even if it is only by 1 minute. I do best with ME vs ME challenges. We will see how it goes.

Sweet dreams.

Nancy, HRH says he tried one when he first saw them advertised, and it had to do with getting info from "the moisture of the skin", which, he says, sounds to him like sweat, but the ads never said that. Anyway, he didn't think it was very accurate and eventually decided it pretty much didn't work. But that was a while back, and he doesn't know about new products - they might be better, even work differently.

I'm thinking just read as many reviews as you can and try to understand what problems people have and how many people seem to be pleased with them and go from there.

Desk Day was the order of the day when we got home. I got 2 more desk-day-type emails sent, an online form filled out and made a dreaded phone call. Sent a report to Ariver that a package they said we'd already gotten wasn't here.

LadyM, congratulations on your newborn great-niece.

Glad you arrived safely, Twins'. Have fun with dd.

Cathy, enjoy your new set of pots and pans! yay!

Kittykatt, with temp at 56 F (is that right, Cathy? :) ) and sunshine, you really did have a good day for being outside. Sorry about the revenge puddle.

Harriet; The one on fb is a scam one comment was the person ordered it but it was one that measures oxygen.
They are still testing them maybe further down the road.
Yes I agree about the sweat. My hand were so cold today there was no sweat! LOL!

I have dinner and did up my dishes and got them put away.

I rested this evening under a blanket and watched one show on net flicks.
Had less for dinner and will take less Rx hoping for a better nite.
I did put another blanket on the bed I was freezing last night after my bs low;
should have got up and taken a shower to warm up but did not do that till morning.
Sigh still learning.

Feeling better my back and hip both and bruises are better too,
some of the smaller ones are gone already now

Re: the senior discount, LadyM -- DS would probably be embarrassed if I told this to anyone he actually knows, but I will share here.
Yesterday, he, ddil, and dgd went to dgd's rheumatologist in Big City. They stopped at a thrift store afterwards, and ddil said she noticed that it was Senior Discount Day. Without saying anything at all, the clerk started to give them the discount, thinking DS was the GRANDFATHER, and ddil was his daughter! Now, DS is 42, and ddil 33, and DS has salt and pepper hair, heavy on the salt -- but I do NOT think he looks old enough to be ddil's father.
He said another clerk asked him how old he was, and he showed her his license. DS likes to quote the movie, Slingblade, and as he relayed this story to me, he said, "Yes, they made 'quite a bit of sport of me.'" The clerk said, "You were just going to let me go ahead and give you the discount, weren't you?" DS said he told her he figured he was due it after she had "insulted" him so badly. LOL.

I did have a fairly productive day. I am never quite satisfied with anything I give for Christmas, with rare exceptions. Today was not an exception.
I got ornaments for dmom to give to dgrands, which we will put on the little tree here at my house.
H*bby L*bby did not have the clear ornament balls I wanted, and they did not have the easy bow-maker thing dsisil wanted, so I ordered from Ariver while I was there in the store.
Went to Belk, but was not impressed.
Went to the theater to get gift cards for DS/ddil and dbroil/dsisil. Decided even a gift card from Belk would look as if I put a little more thought into dsisil's gift than just putting a $50 bill in her card... while driving back to Belk (opposite ends of a mall with lots of empty buildings) I saw the poster for o a movie -- Fackham Hall, a sort of parody of Downton Abbey & The Gilded Age... so after going BACK to Belk, finding a knit outfit for dsisil, and getting finished in time to go to the movie, I took myself to the movie.
* Warning -- the movie has a LOT of double entendre' and adult type humor. Just the name itself is rather revealing if you say it slowly. I was glad dgs was not with me. OTOH, most of it was so fast-paced that DGS probably wouldn't have paid enough attention to get it. It is rated R and well-deserved, I'd say. But it was funny, and I thought after going to the dentist and having a very emotional week, I deserved some time in a quiet theater.

AFTER the movie, I went to dmom's, helped her get a kitchen drawer back in place after she had been vacuuming behind it. She has had a mouse in that area. I also put out the solar lights. Noticed some of them are leaning a bit. I'm trying not to obsess about this. They are in the spot where she plans to put mulch, so perhaps they can be straightened up at that time.

Then church... and after I got home, I just did nothing. This day has worn me out.
I am in bed now, wearing the T-shirt and sweatshirt I had on all day. My underarms are itching -- I shaved last night. I did not shower tonight. After dozing on the couch, I decided to get in bed and I skipped most of my bedtime routine.

My teeth are bothering me a little bit, but I don't think it is a problem with the filling. I think my mouth is just sensitive & uncomfortable after 45 minutes getting a cleaning and then another 45 minutes with the dentist putting in the permanent filling. At least he saw no areas of concern from x-rays. Hygienist used a sort of water thing to finish up the cleaning. It was not comfortable -- water blowing all over my face.

I bought a lot of presents online last night, and now I mostly just need to go to the bank for appropriate bills for remaining gifts, and I may go to Wmart to get dgrands some sort of tops or jackets to finish out their gifts. Still need a few stocking stuffers.

Oh -- and DS and ddil definitely want to go to Waffle House for Christmas dinner with dmom. DS rightly pointed out that dmom is just as likely as not to get up on the 26th and call me to say, "Lucy, I'm sorry, I'm just not going to feel like getting out of the house. You'll be fine on your own." DS said we would then have a ton of food that we had to cook, and he just prefers we go to Waffle House or Cracker Barrel and everyone can order exactly what they want, with no waste and no clean-up. I know that will be more relaxing, and we can come back to my house or dmom's and open presents with her and maybe have cinnamon rolls.

Tomorrow, I have nothing I absolutely have to do. I am glad for that!
