Ah, you still have a couple of days to prepare, Gma. That's going to be a nice trip to enjoy the nice weather and catch up with your cousins.

Oh, that does sound good, L.Ann, and I see where the firecracker comes in.

That is funny, trissie, that people don't recognize the country but they do recognize the hockey player. It shows what they have been paying attention to, LOL.

I went back to bed, and now I'm rebooting my day with more zip.

Thursday
Breakfast for dog
Cleaned up after dog
CUOP
Put away some of the shopping
Started a pot of rice
Started putting away dry dishes

I think I was the one who put trissie's thread back on top as I posted in both this morning - but trissie's second. Oh, well. We're all here - and we're all making progress!
trissie, dh is the opposite. He knows the country but not the player. LOL! Sometimes, he doesn't even know the sport. Good for you and your professional attitude. I think a lot of people in this world could be reminded that they're not in kindergarten anymore. . .
Oh my word -- that is A LOT of snow, L Ann. I hope you've got everything you need. Our forecast is up to 3.5 inches now, nothing compared to yours. ❄️
Interesting that we're colder than you, Doggedly. Glad you're feeling better. I had no reaction to the flu vaccine this season. I haven't gotten the Covid booster yet bc I had Covid over Thanksgiving.
I hope the dentist visit was quick and easy, kitkat. Fable is dd27's dog - or rather puppy, a 16 month old Labrador Retriever. We watch her from time to time. Dd27 is busy and doesn't like for her to be cooped up in her crate for too many hours in a row, understandably.

It is now 2 pm, and I need to get going again. AS moved my work out with him to 3:30 pm. So, I have a little over an hour to get stuff done before I head out again.

I saw lines at the nearby gas station. No one leaves their tanks near empty when the temps drop this low.

Next:
- put away groceries that I think have just arrived
- s2s and self care
- NY cards progress

Later:
- NY card progress
- darks: f and p.a
- lights: w d f p/a
- make guest beds 1 2 3
- 3:30 - 4:30 work out with AS
- 30 min. writing
- 15 minutes decluttering
- dinner: chicken curry, roasted veggie medley
- after dinner clean up
- duolingo
- update health apps: WW, MFP, Finch
- read fun book

TaDas!
- up; weighed self
- coffee
- kitchen clean up - didn't run the dw last night so not much to do
- email deletions + weather website
- some qt
- back exercises
- dress to exercise
- texts with dd30 re: when she's going to the gym
- updated calendars
- list in notebook
- made the bed
- gym: walking
- gym: said "hi" to dd30 who arrived and was swimming
- home; lunch
- printed out year end giving statement for 1 ministry
- grocery order - again; trying to avoid the store until the extreme cold is past

Happy Thursday afternoon!
Nothing much going on here so prolly won’t post much, I finished my have to’s and am digging through paper piles before I’m buried under them.

Trissie, staying busy is probably the best way to get through the work day. My family has always had to explain their last name and heritage, even though there is a community of Czechs here so I get it.

Kittykatt, hope you pop in here. Idk how to move posts other than copy/paste each one, if you want to do that? It’s not the first time we have had two posts started and won’t be the last. I’ve also seen people wait until someone else starts the day off lol, so I’m very grateful for you and trissie and ffb and others who get us started. It’s a lot easier to get moving when I see you all doing things.

Helia, is Fable black or blonde? I’m adjusting to dd1’s pup coming over for visits. We rescued him from the woods at my mil’s house a couple of years ago and dd said she would keep him. He’s a big boy, looks like a shepherd/hound mix (we are waiting on his embark test results) and is a lot to handle. He still jumps but has learned to jump softly so you see this large boy running at you and brace but then it’s like a pillow hits you very softly lol. He has the sweetest eyes and disposition so he’s easy to live with.

Doggedly, you sound so cozy. Hope you have no ill effects from shots.

LAnn, that firecracker sauce sounds so good.

Gma, are you flying or driving? Have lots of fun and relaxation! It might feel odd to wear shorts for a week when you’re used to heavier layers lol.

KitKat, hope all went well with the dentist.

I hope I got everyone, I have the tv on while I sit on the bed with papers spread out, filling in my planner right now, so guess I’ll get back to it. Dh came home early so I made him a snack, he left for a doctor appt. I was supposed to go with but pleaded out. It’s just a follow up and it’s an hour drive one way. Not my fave. And if I go we end up eating out and spending the day meandering. He has another appointment tomorrow that I can go with (or not) so I have options. It’s supposed to rain all weekend, making it warm here, so I’m inclined to hibernate and nest.
♥ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! ♥

It's nice to have options, Bama. :)

It surprised me that we have different weather. helia, as lately we have been in the same weather system. The snow squalls have started. Every time I look out the window, it's a different view, LOL. Right now, it's light snow that is coming down fast.

Thursday
Breakfast for dog
Cleaned up after dog X 2
CUOP
Put away some of the shopping
Started a pot of rice
Started putting away dry dishes
Fought my way into the vitamin bottle. It appears that I really need it, LOL. Took a vitamin.
Put away the pharmacy shopping
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Washed 3 basinsful of dishes

trissie - snow is not unusual here.... this crazy cold/wind /snow combo is...
helia - Fable is almost the same age as my lab:)
Dogged we had some snow- not too much - yet. Did your arms get sore from shots? That's the only issues we had...
Bama - sounds like a good pup:)

I'm back finally...
Dentist went well:) No issues.
Went for our (store) walk with Dpup. That went well:)
Dropped by DD for coffee.
Picked up DGD from school.
That's my accomplishment so far... (ate a bite just now.)

Will make a cup of coffee, check on laundry, change into workout clothes.
Puppy out/in, then off to gym.

Hello everyone!

Just a quick CI as it's late and I'm in bed. It's been another good day. I hoovered the car and picked up Fred's and Matilda's meds and food before church. We had coffee after the service with two types of cake.😋 The parish administrator arrived as we were having coffee, so I was able to confirm with her the booking for the church for this year's parish Christmas lunch. I know it's ridiculously early, but the church is used for a lot of events and does get very booked up in December. Anyway, now the date and location are decided, I can forget about that for a few months.

When I finally got home I cleaned the fridge, and made butternut squash soup for our supper. Waitrose have delivered and the groceries are PA. Matilda.is on the pillow beside me, looking the picture.of innocence.
r⁴⁴55⁵⁵⁵⅝ Matilda's contribution!

I had a nice phone visit with my db. Around the third hour, we start to flag.

kitkat, I'm old enough that they now give me the super doper seniors dose of flu vaccine. The pharmacist warned me that I might have a stronger reaction to it. Last night, I acted like I had a fever, shivering under a mountain of covers. Today I'm better but keep going back to bed. My arm hurts when I lift it, but that might just be because it was stabbed a couple of times with a needle yesterday, LOL.

WTG on getting the Christmas parish lunch booked, Kittykatt.

I think I just get a regular dose, Doggedly. Glad you had a nice conversation with your brother. We didn't have any snow today - and our temps were in the 20s. :)
I'm heading to the diet site too, L Ann.
Glad your dentist appointment went well - and your store outing with the pup, kitkat. Fable will be 16 months next week.
Lauralind, Fable is a yellow lab. I should share a pic. . . She has a black stripe down her nose which makes some people wonder if she is a lab. She is 100% lab - from a breeder. Probably some black lab in her background.

It is 18F now, and temps are going to drop down to 0F tomorrow morning with windchill at -19F. Tomorrow's temperature range is -11F (-23.9C) to 6F (-14.4C). Schools here have already cancelled classes. Goodness - how cold will it be for those of you in colder climes?

I saw a herd of 9 deer late this afternoon. They were meandering through our yard. Two were playing and butting heads. I heard a wild turkey but didn't see it; they didn't sleep in our trees last night as two of them have been doing. (I checked when I brought in firewood.)

However, I am sitting in front of a warm and cheery fire that dh has made in our fireplace and drinking some cinnamon tea.

I'm a bit sore from my work out with AS this afternoon. He ended the work out by having me plank for 40 seconds - 3X. With a minute rest in between. I wasn't sure I could do it, but I could.
