I love hearing about the difference we all experience. Whether it is -40 or 85 degrees is all interesting to me.

We have bright sunshine! Nothing has changed weather wise but somehow everything seems better when the clouds part and the sun shines.

I'm enjoying another day of doing whatever I want.....as long as I stay inside.

DS17 is bummed because the weather is most like ruining his plans for tomorrow. He planned to ask GF to marry him at her favorite place with photographer documenting it. The snow makes it almost impossible to access the location. DS17 and GF mom has been planning this event location and timing. I'm staying out of it.

RamblinRose of course we need to hear about your weather. For those of us in the frozen north, it brings us hope of warmer/hotter days ahead and memories of melting when we were outside last summer!! Most bugs are not alive right now, which is nice.

My dh is already watching the pregame stuff. The football will most certainly be on in our house.

My bestie lives in Aiken, SC and has a foot of snow and she says it’s still snowing. Haven’t heard from my brother yet.

I was just reading on the Cruise Critic website that 1000's of people coming off of cruise ships this weekend can't fly home because of all the weather problems, so the hotels are taking advantage and charging "$500 more per night than what we paid for a room in the same hotel that we stayed in for one night before this cruise a week ago."

Just because I can......I found and watched the Green Acres S1E9 You can't plug in a 2 with a 6. It is a funny distraction. I haven't watched this show in years (decades). Thanks Harriet!

I added some hamburger meat to cheese dip/chips and called it lunch for the family.

February decorations are up. Just a few decorations and table clothes and it changes the look of the house. love looking though these photos once a year.

Deviled eggs got delivered, no response to the door then I set it on the front steps and took a pic like I've seen dor dash do it.
Dgd's car was there so at 2 ish our time I texted her & then got thank you's from both of them!

On my way home I stopped by the store no diet jello in stock there but I did get more eggs so I could make me some of them
probably not today however! Got cheese & avocados too.

Still a bit of frost on the deck and north sides of roofs not as much 3/4 ths of it is melted.
Luv the sun shine watched part of a movie.
Did some knitting.

Put a bit in a story took me longer to find the right spot for it to go in the chapter I wanted it in than it did to write it! LOL!

I've not done my sheets that can wait I think but did s2s this morning.
@ 2:15 p.m. it's 37* one degree from our hi for today.

Took the garbage to the road earlier and then ds called and said there would be no pickup tomorrow.

Dgs is spending the night. We all ate lunch together after church (minus ddil) and then Dgd decided she would go home with ds.

We’re just hunkering down, watching football. Our team just lost.

I don’t drink coffee. I’m stocked up on diet cokes.

DGS and I have had supper -- Stouffer's lasagna for him, chicken salad and crackers for me. He is playing out an imaginary football season and calling out updates to me. I don't know if other boys his age play like this or not, but I'm kinda glad he is still enjoying "kid" stuff AND glad he is not glued to a screen. (Like me, LOL).

I have filled out my planer for the week, emptied the dishwasher and refilled it with the dishes in the sink, and I have washed the things that don't go in the dishwasher. Also did my allergy shots, a few days late because I kept forgetting to take them.
I also keep forgetting about the towels that are in the dryer! I must go do that.
I need to exercise too. I've been skipping that way too often.
Also need to refill meds/supplements for the week. All I am taking now is calcium, multivitamin, Bentyl (for stomach), Phillips Colon Health probiotic, Paxil (for anxiety), and an antihistamine every other day.

Looking at my planner... dgs' scholars' bowl match is supposed to be Saturday morning. He said we would probably leave the school at 8:00 a.m. The low Friday night is supposed to be 12, and the high Saturday 32! (No precipitation except for a 10% chance Friday night -- of course, judging by the way this weekend panned out, this might mean we will have a true blizzard!) I really wanted to see his first match... but oh. my. goodness. This will mean getting up around 6:00 a.m. in order to get to Big City an hour away where the match is going to be held. I can just hear dh saying, "OF COURSE we're going -- we'd go if it were a ballgame, wouldn't we?" But oh my... I bet ddil will want me to drive if I go -- we'll all ride together but I don't think DDIL likes to drive when I'm in the car -- for some reason, I think I intimidate her.
Anyway, I'm not going to think about it tonight. I'll think about it tomorrow, LOL. (Actually, I'll try not to think about it until Friday when we see how the weather is going to be and what ddil wants me to do. DS said today that she said we could all go together, but OTOH, she may think there is no reason to get dgd out that early in such ridiculous temperatures.)

I have a haircut Tuesday at 12:30 (temps should be slightly above freezing by then!) and then Wednesday yoga in the morning and class at night. I think that is the extent of my obligations for this week.

I drove from Fort Smith to Little Rock once in an ice storm. That was NOT something I want to EVER repeat.

LadyM, I LOVE that cheese/Rotel tomatoes/hamburger dip -- sounds like that's what y'all had for supper. Mmmm....
I told ds I might cook spaghetti for all of us tomorrow. Would have done it tonight but neither of us wanted to be out on the roads after dark. I don't know if there's any traffic but after all the rain we had last night and earlier today, I'm pretty sure there were icy patches after dark when the temperatures dropped again.
Hmmm... thinking about that proposal picture and everything... I certainly understand why you are staying out of it, LadyM, and as one of my friends says, "I don't mean any harm in it..." but this is NOT going to be much of a surprise anyway, is it? Everyone seems to do this these days -- photographers and staged settings for the official engagement, but your DS and GF have already discussed this at length, so she knows the ring is coming and he knows she will say yes... PLEASE don't think I'm being critical of DS17 -- it's just a new thing of these recent generations. I had a student once who said she wanted her boyfriend to propose in a hot air balloon! (Another student said, "What if he DROPS the ring???" I just think proposals have taken on a photo-worthy status along with prom proposals, which is really beyond my understanding. Kids around here are even making a social media thing of the "will you go with me to the middle school dance"! It must be a lot of pressure on the guys doing the asking, trying to come up with something original and top the last thing.

I don't really even REMEMBER a special thing about dh proposing to me. It was kinda like we just agreed that we were going to get married after I turned 18. Is that sad? We had talked about it a lot, and I think we were standing in his bedroom when he gave me the ring. It was on my 18th birthday. The main thing I remember is that (1) he did NOT ask my dad's permission beforehand and (2) he did NOT come with me to tell my parents. I don't think my dad ever quite forgave him for those two faux pas. In dh's defense, he had no sisters so his dad had never been in that situation in order to tell him what to do... and his maternal grandfather died when his mother was 2, before any of her sisters married, so there was no one on that side of the family to know how fathers of girls feel about such situations. We got married about 6 weeks later, I guess, mid-October. My dad probably thought I was pregnant since we were in such a hurry! (I wasn't, and I think ddad celebrated by buying himself a Corvette six months later.)

That is awful about the hotels taking advantage of the cruise ship passengers, Cathy! There should be a law against businesses doing that.

Rose... SMH... I guess this is not the time to encourage my brother in Florida to move back here! LOL.

I was looking back at PWYC a year ago. I was still putting up Christmas decorations, so I guess I'm doing pretty good this year, huh? Not back into the zones, but Christmas is put away. I still need to update my address list on the computer, and I want to re-do some of my Christmas 3x5s to more accurately reflect what I really do.
