I just caught up on my food diary which I didn't touch yesterday. No surprise, I did not get enough protein. I need to plan better eating when dh is out for the evening.

My eating has been way out of bounds. The way my body works is eating processed carbs can start an avalanche of desire for more......more.....more. It is difficult to rein in once it happens.
Past experience has shown me that if I get through 3 days of not eating processed carbs, then the hangry desire for processed carbs will mostly go away.
This is day #1 of 3

This is day #2 of 3 without eating processed carbs.

The scales took a 3 lb drop this morning which is expected. When I eat processed carbs, my body become inflamed and holds onto water weight. When I stop eating processed carbs it drops that water weight and my joints stop hurting.

Yesterday was an emotional day with VDFriend funeral and keeping up with DH in a large group. Even though there has been no official announcement that DH has dementia there is no secrets in a small community. Countless friends came up to me and softly asked "How is he doing?" usually followed up by the question "How are you doing?" and a hug. DH only recognized about 50% of the people that he has known all his life, but he was in familiar surroundings so he enjoyed greeting and hugging those he did remember. He was polite to those he didn't remember, and they seemed to understand and were kind. ANYway, my point in this too long dialogue is even though it was an emotional day, I didn't respond by eating food that harms my body.

(((LadyM))) that must have been a very stressful time for you, constantly having to watch out for DH. But at big WTG for keeping to your healthy eating regime!

Saturday:
I've done my exercises for today: 7 hearts
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ ❤️❤️
I drank 8 glasses of water yesterday: 4 hearts
❤️❤️❤️❤️
I've done 30 minutes with the lightbox: 7 hearts
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ ❤️❤️
Sit to stand 5 repetitions: 7 hearts

Note to self: space water more evenly throughout the day, and not mostly in the evening - this does.not result in an uninterrupted night's sleep!
