Kitty, this is a new explorer to me. I asked dh if he learned about him in school in the Netherlands, he didn't seem to remember. So nice you have some sunshine and can work in the garden!

Last night, we had a lovely evening in the big city! Everything worked out well. Our timing was perfect - dinner was good and just a 5 minute walk from the theater. The Blue Man Group performance was a lot of fun! Then, I stayed up too late watching videos of the skating races which the Dutch won yesterday.

Today, I'm up very late after a late night. There's nothing on the calendar until a dinner party at 5 pm - but we're not hosting. We're bringing salad and bread. I was going to make a fresh salad but dh has strongly insisted that he will take care of it all and bring bagged salads. OK.

Morning all. Safe travels to both trissie and frenchie and hopefully snow for skiing.

Morning kittykat and lann and kitkat. Hope i got everyone. I'm off today and not sure what the day will bring. Hopefully see the kids at some point. Happy birthday to Lil j. He's one today. Was supposed to be birthday party day but he's been so sick and sad the last weeks they canceled the bigger party cause he needs to be happier first. Now fun having a big party when the birthday boy is not going to enjoy it. We'll see what happens.

Plus I need to go check on dad's house once. He's going over night to the city to visit and he's shopping floor for the house. I don't know if he should bother but whatever... trying to gear up for selling. But what he wants is 20 years old in the same style we have. Hard to find now.

Music prep. Tidy up a bit. Walk with Casper and figure out where to put water for him. Other than that we'll see.

Hello everyone!

L.Ann, that's a big temperature difference! We reached 13 C /55F today. Of course, it will probably get a bit colder again, but I think we're done with winter now, down here in the SW, especially as the days are getting noticeably longer. The birds were certainly singing well today!

I had a very good session in my garden, and got some more tidying done. It's starting to dry out quite nicely and more spring flowers are making an appearance. I also replaced one of the staples that holds the wires for the climbing rose in place, as it had fallen out. I'm enjoying this time of relative quiet in my garden before the spring rush starts.

I also had a good chat with DNeighbour S - he's planning to add a conservatory at the back of his house . I think it's an excellent idea as his house is higher up the hill, so gets stunning views over the country side, but for much of the year it's too windy to sit out and enjoy them. And the new type of roofs used on conservatories end the " too hot in summer" problems.

I e done so e housework, prepped lunch for tomorrow and made a chocolate and almond cake, but didn't get the Girls ' nails done. Nener mind there's always tomorrow. DH had a very nice time out with DBIL (who is D as he's gone back to his own home again this evening!) a d is now making a spaghetti Bolognese for supper. I have Matilda on my lap.
