Hello, all. I am up and dressed and presentable for whenever the tech gets here. Any time within the next 4-5 hours, if I remember correctly. It is a bright snowy day, with snow drifting gently down. I feel sorry for the tech being on the road today, not because of the snow but because Ontario gave our bars permission to serve alcohol starting at 6:00 am today to watch the hockey game. It's a great day to sit inside and watch the snow drift down.
I've been worried about Germane. Yesterday she ate hardly anything, just the sole that I had cooked for her and she wouldn't touch her dog food. Today she's moving around like she's frail, but she ate well when I opened a new container of dog food for her, so I'm happier.

helia, I have heard that good things come to those who wait, and I hope that your birthday celebration is great after that wait, LOL.

We have rain mixed with snow at the moment, Dogged. Supposedly the heavier snow is tonight. Little Bit showed up the same time I got back with the pizza!!

I am happy to congratulate our American friends on their win, Paigealle!
I am retired; it's such a relief not to have to deal with office politics etc. I am only on govt pension, so I will have to go back to work part time at some point, but for now I am basking in the glow.

Dogged, I'm glad Germane decided to eat. Hoping the tech's visit is successful.

Paige, coffee in bed with a kitty and a book is a perfect way to start the day!

It's been a good day. An excellent service, followed by coffee with DF E, who was in very good form. I managed a little in my front garden while lunch was in the oven. This afternoon we watched the Addams Family, and now we're just about to watch this week's Poirot (Death in the Clouds). I need to do some sewing, have a session on the photos, and print and stick the label on the item I've just sold on eBay. (Fortunately when I listed everything I packaged it all as I went!).

I have been listening to The Clocks, and I just got to the point where Poirot enters the story.

It's the validation that every repair customer craves: the tech has gone to the floor below mine to see if he can find the source of the problem. It's not something that I could have fixed on my own.
