(((Kittykatt))), you have the BEST listeners here by far and I have ranted many times. Ugh to spouses. We go through highs and lows here all of the time. It’s gotten easier with the kids grown but it can still be a challenge. For me. He goes his merry way no matter what. I love it when it concerns outside issues and he can shrug off things that eat me up but when it’s me he’s shrugging off it can be annoying. I used to think we’d end up splitting up but after many, many years it’s just easier to ride it out and come here to work through it lol. Hugs.

I wonder if we have that weed here, I’m not aware of it but that doesn’t mean anything and we have plenty of other weeds.

Harriet, I hope you got some sleep and are feeling rested today. I need to up my water intake, it’s a work in progress that doesn’t come naturally.

It rained here off and on all night, I woke early for a little bit, then slept in. Messes my day up when I do that but it’s still wet and rainy so I’m not going to guilt myself about it. We were going to run errands today after the rain but I don’t want to drive in wet roads so I’m putting it off until tomorrow. My umph has totally disappeared. How did I do all the things when the kids were little and we had more pets and moms to take care of? Now it’s taking me all week to do what I could do in a day. I know it’s a lack of a sense of urgency. How to get that back without getting stressed about it…something to ponder.
Dd1 had said last weekend that she would come home this weekend and do some yard work (for exercise outside, I didn’t ask anything), but cancelled yesterday saying she wants to sleep all weekend. Fine with me now that I’m used to them rarely visiting unless they need something, like a new car. It is what it is. Im glad they’re independent and doing things on their own. I do better on my own anyway and there is plenty to do. Like right now I’m watching a show with some people building an add on to their house lol. I do need to get busy so let’s get a list going. If I don’t come back I’m probably reading or scrolling my day away.

Hi, all. I have been missing in action, but don't have great accomplishments to report. I did have my phone visit with my db, which I enjoyed. I have not been sure what to do for Germane. We have finished her pork stew and the sole that I have been cooking for her, and she WILL NOT eat dog food. Except that if she's hungry enough and I'm not looking, she might eat some kibble. I found some salmon in the freezer with no coating on it, so I'm cooking that now and I hope that she'll eat it.

Gma, I'm glad that you enjoyed the music. I have a set of CDs of Hildegaard von Bingen's music, and you have me wanting to dig it out and listen to them.

That is an interesting perspecrtive, Harriet, that conversation is a respectful gift. I have always thought of listening as the gift, but maybe I have been exposed to more monologues than conversations, LOL.

I hope that things went well at Hopkins, L.Ann.--I see that it was quick.

We are grateful for the cold, helia. Tomorrow's forecast is for either rain or snow in the morning, then the temperature plunging well below freezing in the afternoon. We are hoping for snow.

Sooo... Bama... did that show inspire you to build an add on to your house?

--I finished cooking while CUOP and I am happy to report that Germane is eating the salmon as enthusiastically as she ate the sole, so I'm relieved that I have something in the house that she'll actually eat.

And I now have my new Roku set up and working. I have more things to add and test on it. I suspect that my new ISP made a strategic error in telling me that if I want normal and necessary controls over my TV shows that I would have to use a Roku. I suspect that having the Roku will mean that I have no reason to keep paying the ISP $10/month for TV.
