Yay for sunshine, garden work and a walk, Kitty! Large scale chocolate theft - now that's not usual news.
FFB, my dh is similar to yours! He often wants to get into deep cleaning tasks when I feel it's not a good time. He's also good about containing the time. Sounds like the boys did great! You and MrNG too!
L Ann, I'm guessing DD33 is not playing bagpipes. Is she listening to that music? Does she like it?
Welcome back, trissie! Sounds like your kids are teenagers. :D
I need to do some decluttering too, Lauralind, mainly my clothes. I have too many - but I like them all.

On the topic of bnbs, I'm a big fan of them! :) Dh and I greatly prefer bnbs to hotels for their greater space and more homey ambiance. Also, having a kitchen while traveling is priceless to us -- and the only way dd30 with celiac disease can travel. They're regularly cleaned by professionals so one should never compare. And though some are very nicely decorated, they're not as full of stuff as a home would be.

We have sunshine today! It's a bit chillier with highs forecast to reach 41; it's 37F right now. I have a payroll snack potluck teacher event 1-3 pm. I hope to jog before then and work on desk type stuff afterward, payroll exam prep and also some writing. I'll probably make a quick run to WF. We're having leftovers for dinner, and I'll roast either some root veggies or part of the huge butternut squash.

The forecast for our weekend in Austin, TX is still very stormy.

Helian most of my clutter is just everyday stuff that doesn't have a good home cause it's used all the time or just not properly put away. I do go through clothes sometimes and get rid of stuff.

I just threw out a handful of stuff from the bathroom drawer. Should do a few more things cause some of it was dd she didn't take along so it will never get used.

Problem... I am not motivated for kitchen duty. Did the dw . Laundry just needs to start. Being slow. Not done my current list yet.

Priority list ✨️

Kitchen clean
Straighten fridges and freezer
Laundry
Mop
Vacuum
Spot clean rug and entry rug
Take those recycle bags out(2 now 😆)
Groceries
Declutter main living room
See if I can start new crochet sweater
Work on music some
Figure out a better reachable place for my current music binders(I use all of it)

Today's tada list ✨️

Finish qt
Soak in tub instead of shower
S&s both baths and reboot laundry
Tidy laundry room and master bedroom

Empty and reload dw
Finish tidying kitchen all the way
Declutter island (may get ds to help find homes for some invisible stuff)

Trissie there's lots that needs doing. Lol. Never ending. I did some figuring and measurements and came up with the first chain on my new project. I was in Walmart in the city the other day and found a pretty off white yarn with black and brown flecks.. I found a little crochet sweater top to try with it. Started lol. And I did at least get the kitchen clean and pans washed. Could do a better job. But it's clean.

Declutter main living room

Work on music some
Figure out a better reachable place for my current music binders(I use all of it)

Today's tada list ✨️

Make grocery list or at least take stock what is low
Start car and go shopping
Gas car
Put it all away

Finish qt
Soak in tub instead of shower
S&s both baths and reboot laundry
Tidy laundry room and master bedroom

Empty and reload dw
Finish tidying kitchen all the way

LOL trissie! It's not warm enough for an outdoor potluck. There's still snow on the ground in places. It'll be indoors.

I need to go -- I'm running 40 minutes late. Eek! (I let them know.)

But it feels good to have a longer jog and my WF errand under my belt. I've just showered.

Lauralind, here is your reminder to clean, whenever you need it. I laughed when it came across my feed.

Hi, all. I have spent my day so far on TV. Not watching it, just trying to recreate the features that I have with my current ISP that I am planning to drop. I spent the morning getting the new Roku to communicate with Alexa. Once I got that working, it turns out that Alexa's interactions are pretty limited, so not sure it's worth it.
Then I got to work on checking the new ISP's shows on Roku, and it turns out that they still don't pause, rewind, fast forward or record, all of which Bell does. It's like going back to the 1960s. In the 70s, we had VCRs that would do this.
Anyway, there is a jaw dropping amount of shows available on the Roku, so I can drop the new ISP's TV service. By the time I was done, there was one show that I regularly watch that I can't access without paying for TV.

Kittykatt, thank for starting us off, and another flower that is new to me.
Any time you need to vent, you are welcome to do it here. :)
MJ sounds great; that his work will improve many things for you.
I am blissfully unaware of any mischief that my neighbours get up to. One of the advantages of city life. ;)

FrenchFly, doing half days skiing and half days sledding sounds like the perfect way to entertain active children.

I'm not as surprised about the chocolate theft, L.Ann. It has gotten so expensive that people start to look for ways to avoid the cost. My personal approach is to buy cocoa powder and make fudge or brownies to satisfy the chocolate craving, but others will try other dodges. I was baffled as to why our internet company had so many outages of fibre in specific areas. It turned out that when the cost of copper spiked, people in certain rural areas started cutting the wires hoping to find copper that they could sell as scrap.
I like bagpipe music too! Highland Laddy all the way!

I'm glad that you were able to get out and ski, trissie. As I recall, there was some question about that before you left.

We're sunny here too, helia. I was braced for a dangerous, slippery day because the forecast was for rain or snow in the morning and then a plunging temperature. But we were luckly; I see people walking around and not slipping, so I can go grocery shopping. :)

Saturday
Cleaned up after dog.
Treat for dog
Got Alexa set up on new ISP
Got Alexa connected to Roku
Checked out more channels on Roku
Looked into options for shows that I watch
Looked into BritBox

It's 4:15 and I'm so tired. I should push ahead with some qt, some payroll, and some writing. But it's very tempting to lie down. I'm not a big napper, but I'm sitting here nodding off. I think having a longer jog and then a tummy full of food after the payroll get together are conspiring against me. . .

Doggedly, our sunshine has disappeared. :( That's a great "reminder" to clean. LOL!
