Started writing this when I was supposed to have 30 minutes before having to pick up DBD, but then they sent a message they would be arriving earlier. Then we proceeded to wait there in the cold wind till after the original time! But she's home, I am done with work for the day, and ready to switch gears!
kitkat, I looked up videos of falabella foals, they are supercute!
What's DD's plan for today, L.Ann?
helia, do you use gluten-free pasta even when DD is not home? Regular GF, or some special no-wheat kind like red lentil pasta?
enjoy your free Friday, kittykatt!
Bama, it's the red-eye season for all those for whom nature is not a friend!

Good morning/good afternoon, Helia, L.Ann, KitKat, Bama and Trissie!
KitKat, I think cats are officially supposed to be "crepuscular" - most active around dawn and dusk - which fits in with the 4.15 am partying ATM.
Enjoy your dinner date with DH, Helia!
I hope you have a nice time out this evening, L.Ann.
Bama, I hope there's nothing seriously wrong with Beau's eye.
Did DBD enjoy the swimming trip, Trissie?
It's drizzled on and off today, so not much done outside. But I did take a little bunch of tulips over to DNeighbours D and T and a "thank you" for letting the roofers use their garden to access.part.of the garage. The rest of the morning was mostly taken up with ordering cat food and supplements (two lots of dried food for Jude, wet food for Freddie, plaque - off for Matilda, as she Will Not let me brush her teeth, and she has a tendency towards gingivitis, and a few other bits and pieces). There's 3 suppliers I normally use, so I have to check prices, coupons, and discount codes for each. I ended up using 2 suppliers, and I saved around ยฃ70 overall, so IMHO, it's worth it. DH thinks I should have my pen and paper spreadsheet on the computer, but I prefer my way - it won't crash, hide somewhere obscure in the system, and there are no batteries to run out at the wrong time!
I had a few minutes outside, but it's definitely soggy, so I think I'll do something upstairs next.

Bowling is fun,
LAnn - we've been trying to organize a bowling outing w the family...
Makes sense,
Kittykatt:) . Are you sure you don't want to adjust to their schedule?

Imagine how much MORE you could get done... (Just kidding)
We talked about Icicle pansies:
https://www.thespruce.com/winter-pansy- ... de-8402677
trissie they would be the size of a large (XL?) dog... Imagine having one...
[b[/b]
So...
Dplumber fixed the leak. Found an issue that might or might not create a problem in the future... I need to hear an estimate on fixing it..
I never really got much done except for main floor - was needed frequently...
Had enough time to tell dfriend why I could not chat today... We've had no luck. Rescheduled twice. We'll try again on Monday.
I have fam dinner next weekend.
Need to[*] pull up recipes, make shopping lists
DGD is sleeping here tomorrow
Need to [*]get second bedroom in order
[*]Get bread from bakery,
[*]Stirfry veggies from store
[*] Healthy Planet for supplements (once car is back)
[*]get Dpup (around 5)
[*]Blow leaves off deck
[*]e-transfer pmt to plumber
[*] DPCs
[*]potential (brief ) coffee w DD
The sun is shining! I still haven't got pansies.

L.Ann, can you imagine I actually took bowling as one of the sports back in HS? I had a very limited selection of what I could enroll in due to being after traumatic brain surgery, so I was left with fencing, archery and bowling, if I remeber correctly
kittykatt, she really liked the swimming part, but apparently one of the girls in her room snored badly, so that part she did NOT enjoy, which I totally get
kitkat, I think I should start using glasses for computer - or maybe some brain control? cause for a moment there, I was convinced you were talking about Icicle panties! I'd definitely pass on those!

I have only 1 month left to record for my taxes, then look through some statements, but that is small compared to recording the entire year of a checkbook!

Hi, all. I gave myself a bad ten minutes last night, just before going to bed. On a whim, I thought that I would put my soft drink bottle in the fridge. Then I started searching the apartment for it. I looked everywhere it should be, everywhere that I might have stashed it because there was a little space I could use, gave up thinking and just walked around looking for it. Then I started to question whether I had ever brought it up from the car. I didn't have a specific memory of bringing it up with the second load, and I kept remembering Bama's experience with the exploding soda. We have just had a cycle of freeze and thaw and freeze and thaw and kept picturing it all over the trunk of my car. I really, really didn't want to go down and deal with it at that time of night. I finally found it with great relief tucked behind the toilet paper in the walk-in closet because that was the only place that I could find to stash a big bottle that couldn't lie on its side.
Then I had a funny thing this morning. Germane declined to lift her head or acknowledge that I was in the bathroom with her. She let me spiff myself and dress and she carried on sleeping. Like Lady Catherine de Bourgh, she took no leave of me and sent no compliments to my mother. But within half an hour, she strolled out to ignore her dog food and require a piece of fish from me, LOL.
Thank you for the start, trissie, and for the cute horse.
Bama, anyone would panic at the sight of blood near the eye. I'm glad for the vet's diagnosis. Beau, you might find yourself wearing the Cone Of Shame if you keep this up.

Another early wake up call from Matilda - even earlier today - but I made her wait until the alarm went off before giving her something to eat. Otherwise we're going to be having midnight snacks!
Matilda would have no objection to that.
Enjoy your afternoon off, helia.
Hi, kitkat. I hope that things go well with the plumber.
Okey, I am at the end of Page 1, and have given Germane some of her salmon. Those fillets are so much smaller than the basa that between us, we have eaten half of it already. I'll have to put another one on for her soon.
At the end of Page 1. Wandering off...
Friday
Picked up dogโs food
Heart pill for Germane
Set alarm for one hour. After alarm, put food back down.
Cleaned up after dog
Put away some dry laundry
Washed a couple of basinsful of dishes
Put the big slow cooker in to soak
Spiffed self
Received delivery of Germaneโs pee pads
Gave Germane the last of the white fish
Put salmon on to cook for Germane
