Minor change of supper plans... we are having ravioli instead of spaghetti.

All litter boxes have been deep cleaned.

I will run the dishwasher tonight.

Dh cleaned the toilet for us today!! Yay!!

Flyer what was your Sunday School Lesson on today? How old do you teach? I am the children's chaplain, I just to a mirrored version of adult church for the children between Gospel lesson to the Peace, they come back for the Eucharist part. (communion). I had 10 kids today! That is a record.

Today we celebrated paying off our mortgage on our church. So we had egg casserole, strawberries, donuts and cake with our coffee hour to celebrate. RB and his wife brought donuts and cake and I made casserole and washed the strawberries - it was all eaten and enjoyed.

Bought things to create a strawberry growing tower so tomorrow or this week I will be prepping my garden containers and assembling the strawberry tower and planting it - dh created me a holder for the trio buckets to stack. My backyard garden will have fresh herbs, greens (lettuce, spinach and swiss chard), tomatoes and strawberries this year. And Roses and Lavender. I have started seeds for all of the plants hoping they are ready to transplant when I return.

Played our last bell concert for the school year - we lose our director and 2 of our members to moving away. We may have to go down to a 2 octave choir next year.

Tomorrow I plan to go to the Y in the morning, keep working on bills in the afternoon and have a meeting an online tutoring in early evening.

Harriet -- such a sweet moment with dgd and the bird nest and egg. And super-sweet of ds to come take care of all the dirt and everything to get your gardening started for you!

I've had a fairly serene day, I guess... church -- the three of us were ready with time to spare!
Lunch at restaurant across the street from church.
Home with dgrands -- some indoor nerf ball softball -- I told them I was only good for one inning! DGD and I took the garbage to the road, sat on the porch swing for a while, ddil came to get them early in the afternoon.

Since they left, I have mostly lain on the couch and watched Tales of Wells Fargo on the dvr.
(I did realize I lost HBO when I cancelled Cinemax. I may add it back on -- and I may just wait until I see there is something I want to watch on it. Anytime I try to tune in to a channel I am not subscribed to, I get a quick instruction about how I can "subscribe right now with my remote control" -- and usually some sort of bonus comes with it. A month free or something. So I can wait -- mostly I was interested in watching The Gilded Age, if season four ever begins. And anything that comes out continuing Downton Abbey, but I think that was on PBS. My tv bill is probably my most expensive bill of the month. DS thinks I'm crazy.)

Once the dgrands are gone, the house seems sooo quiet, but boy did I need my rest this afternoon!

I did remember -- around dark! -- that I was supposed to send out texts and emails re: teacher group meeting Tuesday. A busy week starting up again --
Tomorrow, I will go to dgd's book fair at 9:30, and then I have a council meeting at church tomorrow night.
Tuesday, teacher group is meeting at my church at 11:00 to see what our sewing ministry ladies do -- making girls dresses from men's shirts to send with missionaries to foreign countries. Then we will go eat at local restaurant that has recently relocated to larger building. Tuesday night, dgd has ballgame at another county site -- 20 miles away, maybe? Not far, but not as close as our local park!
Wednesday, yoga at 10:00... help with children's class at 6:00 pm. A lot of people are out of town, apparently, and the lone survivor asked me if I could help her.
The bug lady is supposed to come some time this week, so I need to make some effort at WHB...
and the roofer is going to call me and come get his money one day. I'm going to wait until he comes to go to the insurance office, so if they need a receipt or anything, I will have it.
OH -- and I probably need to do Wmart one day because these children have eaten everything in the house except the diet cokes!

Boy... I wish my house was running on auto pilot, Cathy! WTG!!!

And YES -- temperatures dropped here too! Lots of rain yesterday evening, after we left the ballpark, and brrrr... I was pretty chilly in my linen pants and short sleeved top. DGD was in short sleeved dress but she never admits to being cold. DGS wore a long sleeve shirt that I had bought him for Easter, (pastel plaid, men's size M, he looks so grown up sometimes) and he never complained about being too hot.
My dmom missed church, largely because she said she woke up and it was 68 degrees in her house and she just couldn't get herself going.

One more thing -- you know how I worried so much that dgrands would be sad about missing their trips to college football games? Well, neither one of them even mentioned that yesterday was A-day (spring football intrasquad game) and when I asked them to tell me something they remembered about Granddaddy -- since last week was the anniversary of his death -- dgd said she remembered tapping him on the back of his head when he was lying on the couch and running away, a sort of game they played that always made her laugh. DGS said he remembered singing Rocky Top with him and riding around in the countryside with dh pointing out where all the relatives in his family lived.
Today begins my third year without him. There are still a lot of things that give me so much anxiety and sadness, but I'm kinda amazed that I have survived, you know? And I have a new roof, and with the insurance and my own savings since I'm been on my own, I only had to come up with $6000 to complete the payment. That's not small change, but fortunately my dmom was able to loan me that much to cover it.
