I'm feeling a bit discouraged. I have gotten everything cleaned up after Germane, but my joints think that they are finished for the day and I haven't even started on the heavy stuff. I keep telling myself that I would rather face it today than to deal with it in her crate on the road tomorrow.

Searched for pill organizer for trip: cannot find it
Picked up dog’s food
Heart pill for Germane
Cleaned up after dog
Put on a pot of rice
Spiffed self
Papered Germane’s pen
Fresh kibble for Germane
Settled Germane in pen with her breakfast
Went to car rental to pick up car
Tried to set the controls: car manual not included
Registered it for parking
Brought tarp, backseat cover, Germane’s crate and sun/night glasses from car to rental car
Released Germane from pen. She had managed to poop into the bars of the pen, up the side of a crate and covered the peepads covering the floor of her crate
CUOP
FACE: Pay bills
Spent 15 cleaning up after Germane. Cleaned up to her pen and the first pee pad
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Put the cutlery in to soak
Washed cutlery
Put dishes in to soak
Bagged up kitchen garbage and brought it to the chute
Finished cleaning out Germane’s pen and changed pads in main area
Bagged up kitchen and bathroom garbage and brought it to the chute
Called the hotel. While on hold:
Pet Germane
Read the car manual for the rental car
Gave Germane a treat
Put fish on to cook for Germane
Washed the dishes and dumped the water
Wiped down rice cooker and put it away
After 25 minutes on hold, gave up and hung up.

Hi, L.Ann. I'm glad that you get a weekend at home. Though I imagine that an eye appointment is not the entertainment that you were looking for. Hopefully the pleasure of being home will make up for it.

I've got the plants set up on the balcony. After I've had a rest, I think that I'll pull the wardrobe forward to search the back shelving unit for the bottom for Germane's travel pen.
