Peekaboo, I cannot see you! But that is okay. Dr says it was a much denser cataract this time. My unexucated theory is that since this eye has perfectly normal circulation and vessels, it took a brunt of steroid damage while the other eye with a damaged vessel got less. I was first patient, through some unforseen circumstances, and caught the operating room folks at a starting point, easier-going, chatting, laughing about the music not working yet, and maybe someone should sing, etc. That, plus some familiarity by now, make me less anxious. But it really did take a longer time, with discussion about the density.
Then home again and I napped an hour. Then dr was able to see me in another city and off we went. He is pleased, explaining that this time because of more swelling it will just take longer but he predicts that I will again think of this as the better eye. I really was slow and dependent, though - no idea where curbs were. Back home again and naped until ddolder called. Then ds' children came by.
I'm touch-typing with my glue=blocker goggles on because it does fell more comfortable. But won't stay long. Just wanted to say so far so good.
