Good morning!
Thanks for the start Kittykatt! Your garden must look lovely with all the attention you give it. :D Any recent photos?
I was thinking of you while driving yesterday, with all the flowering trees... So beautiful. Also, the grass is gorgeous out there . Just a month ago, the trees were bare, the grass looked brown... May is my favourite month.

Dogged hope Germane lets you sleep.

helia I did not get to reply yesterday: We all go for this run (not my DH), DKids, DGkids.... I don't run any more so it is a long walk. (Really, a test to see whether I can still do it...) It is for a good cause, (camps for kids living with cancer), so we are happy to do it. I don't know about our forecast this time.... They are talking about rain.
I see a 5K planned for you:)

I read trissie's post. I felt so bad b/c I know what a toll taking care of aging/ailing parents can take... I hope you find solutions/help because what you are doing is not sustainable. (((((((((()))))))))))
I saw Bama, LAnn, Lauralind post. All kinds of good things being baked...

Spent most of the day out. I even managed a coffee with Dfriend:) who is also struggling with finding the right care for her dparents...
I was exhausted on my way home, had to take a 20 min. nap before my gym class. I truly did not want to go but I had promised my DDIL I'd be there... so I went - and she forgot to come

Today:
I really, REALLY must deal with the calls.
MUST clean fridge.
MUST pick up boots from shoe repair
Do (some) laundry.
Walk dpup.
PUPAS!!!

It's cloudy and gloomy out, rained overnight. Forecast calls for chance of showers all day - with a high of 12 C. A cool spring...

I will get started...

Morning all. Yes trissie has an impossible situation to deal with. I hope you can get some things straight. It's not fair the stress it's putting on your family. One thing being in charge but being at command of sister.. now something has to change. I hope it will sort itself out. And get more care than you can give mil.

I think I love May as well. I came home from work yesterday. Dh was in the back yard just finished mowing. The trees at the road have fresh spring green leaves. And poor ds16 is complaining it's too hot. I love it. Of course ds27 called last night figuring out his furnace. The older house with lovely big windows is now hot inside..

Kittykat the word flapjack is very different here. That is another word for crepes. I think I'm just going to look up a coffee cake. Maybe use some of my strawberries. I don't have time to fuss with cookies. Carrot cake is good but that means shredding Carrots. If i remember right from the description flapjack might be close to coffee cake.

My body feels much like it ran a marathon today. I think it's from the raking. Plus I guess I worked hard at work. Lots of stuff to process. And I'm still sore from the arm and shoulder. We'll see what comes of physio this morning. My body feels it all over. Can she fix my hips too? I think I'm going to have to combine her with my other massage therapist yet. A massage before my next appointment might help.

First thing do my stretches. Shower routines. Start my cake when dh leaves. And see what else I get to before the appointment.

Smart, L Ann.
Sounds like a lovely family activity, kitkat - run/ walk! Dgkids too! Even better with a goal of helping such a cause. The 5K in my schedule is the international "Parkrun" 5K. It happens every Saturday in many places around the world. It starts at 8 a.m., which is a big ask for me on a Saturday morning. It's on my lists here as a good option, but I rarely do it. However, it is nice to get my longer exercise regimen for the weekend done by 9 a.m. Saturday.
I hope the appointment helps, Lauralind.

It is now sunny ☀️ and 50*F. It will be nice to get out there and jog in a few minutes. 8-)

Next:
- back exercises
- dress to jog
- JOG

9:30 a.m. More done:
- payroll: finished editing midterm test
- payroll: printed out test
- darks are washing
- the kitchen is reclaimed

Good morning, everyone!
Feels like I’m in quicksand and making zero progress so diving in.

I’m up and moving, which is probably the biggest accomplishment because that’s when things get done, ate breakfast and shared with the pups, watched a little news, played my daily games, took my blood pressure several times to record for doctor.

Do:
Bible, planner, paper chores
♥ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! ♥

I love the look of drizzle on a bundt cake, Gma! Hope it tastes delish.

The cataract surgery seems to have been successful. Dr has already taken a follow-up look a few hours afterward. Today I can tell there is still the swelling he remarked on then, and I still see some dilation, but already my vision is so changed that the lens of my glasses is useless and faraway things look much crisper.

Today would be the day folks want to send me photos on my phone and ask me to scrutinize, lol! Um, no... .. and the only reading glasses in the house belong to HRH but maybe some will help. No... .. actually, I've sent them on to others, a better idea today.

I cooked our brunch at the stove by myself without difficulty, just slow. Went outside and monitored his work on my garden irrigation. So, a good day.
