Good morning.
Thanks for the start trissie.
Kittykatt and KitKat, I haven’t kept up but hope with all the dressing talk, everyone is ok.

I woke up before the alarm went offso been playing on the phone. It’s raining so that might be what woke me. Need to get moving. Taking dh to ortho doc soon to see how bad this is, dh was supposed to have an echo and stress test tomorrow, reschedule?, how this affects surgery on other knee, now need both or does this need to heal first?, lots of questions I’m dreading dealing with. Poor guy is using one of mom’s walkers to get to and from the bathroom right now. The er didn’t give any instructions as to how much rest is needed, when to return to work, care for injuries, nada. I’m so not happy with them right now.
Guess I need to get moving. Dd has been very sweet and helpful. She did my pet chores and a light house cleaning yesterday and offered the same today. Let me see what I can knock out first. We will need her help getting dhs truck home. It also contains a now spoiled lunch lol, plus his meds and diabetes journal/monitor we need to retrieve to know his daily dosage (depends on blood sugar reading).

First up is pet chores, feed water litter meds.

Bama, that sounded so scary! I'm glad dh isn't more hurt, though of course it's awful that now his other knee is injured. I hope the Dr. is helpful this morning.

Thanks for the start, trissie. I really like national/ nature parks anywhere in the world. I'd like to visit Tatra some day! Did we do a park theme here years ago? I forget things, so a refresher is always nice!! Have a great day at payroll.
I hope you have a great day today, kitkat. I'm focusing on Spanish on duolingo. I have Dutch as well when I need to earn a lot of points quickly. I also have Korean and Hebrew and Arabic, but I've let those 3 slide.

I didn't get back here yesterday. *sigh* Payroll kept me busy most of the day. I got home around 4 pm and was very tired. I couldn't gather mojo to do more payroll, which would have been helpful, or go for a jog. In fact, I forgot to do duolingo and update my health apps. Gardener K, an ex-colleague of mine, was here at 5:56 for her 6 pm appointment with dh. I chatted with her and walked around the yard with her. Dh had totally forgotten about the meeting and ignored/ didn't see/ forgot about a text and 1 phone call from me after K's arrival.

Only a 2nd phone call succeeded in summoning him; he is the one who deals with the gardeners so he needed to talk with her. He arrived after 6:30. He apologized pretty profusely to K and later to me, so there's that. It was a little annoying.

It looks like today will be partly cloudy here.

Today: I got up 30 minutes late because I forgot to set my alarm.

I need to be otd in 1:20. Right now, I'm working on a cup of coffee, the first priority. Before I head out, I'd like to do the basic morning routine, take care of payroll communication, pack a snack, and gas the car. Then, I'll need to drive about 35 minutes to the nature park to meet up with S2, K, and J. We'll hike for a couple hours - should be fun and hopefully pretty! Then, we'll have lunch together. Then, I'll leave. I think S2 and K are staying until 3 pm, but J, like me, is leaving early. K and S2 will be at the park in 30 minutes. Egads - how can they spend all day on a weekday at a park?! They have 2 and 3 kids still at home. Sounds lovely! After the park excursion, I will need to get some groceries to make dinner and make further progress on exam prep. Dinner will be GF ravioli with homemade tomato sauce and a green salad. I should probably start prep for class tomorrow as I've agreed to sub for LH tomorrow morning if needed. She is having an oral procedure today on her gums. She has subs today and thinks she'll be OK to teach tomorrow. We shall see.

Morning all. Oh my goodness Bama. Hopefully you can get some proper answers when you get dh back to the dr. Frustrating when they are too fast and don't get all the details. I hope he heals up quickly and all the future procedures can happen on time.

I like the shems too. Who would have thought doing my best today gives a better tomorrow?? Well how true is that but I never do it.

Helian that does seem like how would they have time to spend the whole day? Priorities I guess. Something else goes by the wayside.. at least in my case. I don't know their lives but way to go adjusting and doing what you can fit in .

I am trying to journal a bit more now. Done all my reading. Need to do that and some routine before work. Actually finish some things. I did mop Saturday. So that feels a bit better. Just everywhere needs a quick pupa and send garbage out with dh. Maybe he will finish a couple things outside. I couldn't remember how to start the mower . And ds got most of the screws out of the greenhouse base. If he can move it then I can do more garden prep tomorrow.

I gotta decide what I'm doing this weekend. I could go for the weekend to see some relatives. Aunts on dad's side. It's a 40th anniversary for one aunt and uncle. My sister is going. I didn't even plan or talk about it with dh and I am not feeling it. I think I'd end up either going with my sister on my own. I'm not driving up myself for 4 hours. And I'm actually not sure if dad is going. He was trying to get his rv going but didn't mention the trip. All confusing and maybe I'm just playing the avoid? My sister might leave before I can. I don't want to go with dad. Dh won't want to. I should go... ugh. This was the sister dad hasn't spoken to in 2 years again. I hate family drama

. No valid reason to avoid each other so long. Now I think the other sister that passed away her family decided not to do a memorial. Just as well go do a memorial trip on their own. The other aunt and uncle from south are coming. What do I do?? There is nothing that would say I can't go. Except that I'd rather not without dh. But I can...

Morning everyone! Hope you get better answers from the orthopedist, Bama. Quick post and then I need to walk. It is a pretty sunny day today. My day started off with good news. I met with the geneticist and don’t have any issues with the 77 cancer causing genes that they tested.

KitKat, I’m glad you found your wallet.

I did manage to feed everyone and clean the floors before we left. How ironic is this…dhs ortho is on the fourth floor down 2 long halls in a large building with no elevator by an entrance door. Poor guy hobbled with mom’s walker the best he could. He has a positive attitude and never complained. His knee and elbow have fractures but nothing needs to be done, just time to heal, he’s off work 6 weeks. He can go ahead and get his echo/stress test tomorrow, dr said they will do chemical test only, won’t make him walk the treadmill, postponed surgery on his other knee for 8 weeks, and now he has matching knee braces lol. Except the new one is much larger to accommodate the swelling. His work is bugging him to come in and bring his paperwork (grrr) so we will go this afternoon and dd can drive his truck back. I am putting my foot down though, I will take him to work but they will have to walk out to him, no way am I letting him walk that parking lot.

Another thing I hadn’t thought about, the office wanted to know if we are filing on the woman’s car insurance. Makes sense to me since it was a mva (motor vehicle accident) and it will hopefully cover anything his health insurance doesn’t. He has good insurance but I feel this is the proper route to go, especially if anything pops up later… any thoughts on this…pros or cons? This is all new to me. I’ve never been hit by a car (knock on wood) or even known anyone that has been.

Eating a late breakfast, will knock out some more chores, and head back out. At least it quit raining.
