Welcome back, Costumelady! It sounds like you're hitting the ground running after your vacation. I'm envious of you seeing Sagrada Familia. DH did not see it when he went to Barcelona. He was at the end of a pilgrimage, and he said he had seen so many churches, he didn't want to see another one -- modern architectural marvel or no.
Folks around here seem busy, busy. I have not done much today. Overslept after waking up several times in the night sweating. The temperature has dropped here now. It is 52 out after being more than 30 degrees above that yesterday. DH left the back door open when he left so it could cool the house; I closed it when I went to make my lunch because it was getting chilly. I am hoping to get the window (well, porch railing) boxes installed and planted today, but I will have to put on a sweatshirt if I do.
I'm having lunch after just having my therapy appointment. We talked a bit about DPCs, and she suggested one I have particularly been putting off could easily be a text. Which is less threatening because I can go over things before I hit send.
I need to rework my master to-do list; I don't know whether I will get to that today or not. There's a stack of dishes in the kitchen that I will have to have the offspring help with -- or maybe just do themselves. I can't remember if I got yesterday's wash into the dryer, so I should check on that sooner rather than later. But nothing big on the agenda here. Have a great day!

Sounds like you made many memories, Costumelady. Glad you are home safe and hope you recuperate well.
Yes, as others mentioned, there are several days of high rain probability here, too.
A soil additive for all my containers came this morning (I got a little hopeful with delivery, but, no pots).
So, I'll be adding that in to my watering today. It is a scorcher.
Will check weather and depending on timing of rain, may move some containers for cover.
I heard an amusing statement today:
"I don't do math in public."
lol - that was how I felt today trying to calculate the dilution of this additive. Was determined NOT to get out pencil!
Laundry is spinning. One load already folded.
Lunch was good and the kitchen re-spiffed.
May 20th is a Revolutionary War important date for our area and there are events - I hope scorching day doesn't ruin any.

Those done.
I made a pot of lil' smokies in sauce and a big cast iron skillet of cornbread.
One of life little pleasure is hot crusty cornbread with butter. Maybe not healthiest food in the world, but OH SO GOOD.
DS17 ate & talked during his lunch hour. This is one of the many type moments that I will miss when he is grown and gone.
Next up -
** clothes out of dryer and put away
** One block in the garden - this includes deciding where to expand, selecting which size/style of block, carrying, digging/leveling ground and setting block. (some people lift weights at the gym....I lift concrete blocks in garden)
** refill my monthly vitamin containers

Coming back through. Cemetery, temple, return at the mall, and purchased three things for myself: a summer easy dress with pockets, and two tops. The dress and one top will be worn mostly with a sweater or something else on upper arms. I don't like my arms, although they are somewhat toned. Too much loose skin. Tried on pants size 10 and although I can button/zip, I feel like there's too much muffin top there. But most of my 12s can be pulled straight down without unzipping, and I feel like I'm always pulling them up. Probably should purchase a 10 and see if they stretch out? Dh recommends a belt, lol.
We have T-storms in the the area, but so far received very little rain. I know it's in the forecast through Monday, tho.
At least two trees at the cemetery that need to come down, plus another that needs to come down for the construction of the small amphitheater and ramp into the cemetery. They'll send us an estimate.
Good meeting with temple admin. Found keys to front gate which is padlocked and not used, and key to mausoleum, and some extra keys labeled cemetery. I'm going to be sure they work and return to temple. Got the flags that are used to mark graves.
Body work at 3 p.m.
Waving to all!

Came in from the deck
neighbor got out his very loud green lawn tractor to mow so I came inside

I did empty one one can so I can move more of the onions off that pile.
I've been working 1/2 days on my house stuff & in the pm rest and next Flix
lately I've been watching things about history
watched the great war the last two days learned a lot.
My cousins used to joke about dough boys / aka Pillsbury type
not sure if my uncle was in the army but if so that was not a compliment.
There are others to see Lincoln; and other pres. I do enjoy biographies.
Sort of out of the mood to mow.
Kitchen has been respiffed got the pizzas in the freezer.
Dining table has my books journals etc. on it now.
I have apx. half of em done for the day.

What wilts in my garden ☼ - the gardener. whew, it is hot.
Twins', rain is slated to start here before dark tomorrow night and then just keep going. ☁ ϟ ☂ The ten-day forecast doesn't show a break.
So, we are just parched today and tomorrow, everything in danger, but drought will be replaced with a long, long soak.
Today I've gotten three plants into the ground with all they need, applied the new additive to all containers I now own, or the plants about to go into those that await. Really need to stop now, but will get back to it later, with the six-pack of little shade plants tucked here and there. If there's still no explanation forthcoming from the shipper (?), I'll go with Plan B and put things into coir-lined baskets, which will be fine. That $ could go toward something nice for HRH's Father's Day.
I suppose the quilt will be getting extra attention for a while, as I look out windows, lol.
Time for balance between making a place for natural abundance outside, and our own creativity inside.

Harriet, our dirt had an additive that when it gets really wet it looks like hail, these gelly balls form and sparkle like ice cubes - it is supposed to help with moisture control I think, it looks wierd and the boys don't like it in their garden dirt.
Nancy - I tried to watch tv when I ate my salad lunch but we have access to so many things and I couldn't find a thing I wanted to watch except I got to watch the first 5 episode of season 22 of Grey's Anatomy on the plane and we don't belong to the services that play it - netflix only has up through season 21. I can buy it for 17.99 from Prime but that seems stupid. We gave up Hulu.
Twins - dresses with pockets !!!! I had to add a belt to jeans and pants with beltloops as I keep hiking my pants up too but I bought a size smaller and frankly I think they look too snug - I have no butt or hips I am built straight like a log and my pants just fall off. Are you in charge of your cemetary?
Lady M that sounds yummy I love a good cornbread and lil smokies are yummy too.
MW, I have some great pictures if you want to see them. We went up the Bell Tower = the elevator takes you most of the way and you climb the last few stories but you have to walk down all 500 steps going around and around the tower. The bells went off while we were climbing down so I recorded me going down the stairs to capture the bells playing. The elevator did not go back down. I will say in Europe, the cities are not at all handicapped accessible and you see very few people if any in wheel chairs.
Lucylee - do you do most of the yoga in a chair or just use the chair for support?
CathyS - waiting on a second plumber - the first one said he couldn't fix it and it would cost over $4000 to replace, waiting on an installer to come but we can get one for $819 dollars tonight from Lowes and honestly I think my husband could install it, my only worry is how to get it out of the area. Hoping the installation and haul away cost won't be too much. They are supposed to call me by 4. I can go to the Y to shower and the guys said they can shower cold for a couple of days (I can Not). DH said he can shower at the gym at work. Hoping it can be installed by tomorrow.
I went and to picture taken, ate lunch than YS picked up while I was here with Plumber. Gathered mail, have not gone through it and no laundry has been started but will wait to find out about the hot water heater.
This cold is kind of taking it out of me.
