Morning all. That is actually good that your painter found the damage kittykat. It could have gotten more severe or caused other problems before you ever found it. Being invisible from the ground and all. How nice of him to capture it for you so you don't have to get up there. I bet it's beautiful.

Trissie enjoy the party. Do you all bring kids or is it adults only? That bread sounds elaborate. One day ds will have to try his hand at focaccia.

Your weather sounds like here kitkat. I don't think it's super cold and had i known it was going to rain over night I could have left my plants outside. I'm taking kittykat advice and harden them off. I should put them right back out when dh leaves so they can get used to the cooler day. Actually I bet later I could plant the perrenial stuff.

Routines first. After dh leaves. Soak maybe. I really should get to vacuuming. I'm intending to let ds sleep till he gets up. And then I guess I will comply with dad... practically like that.. he said in no uncertain terms yesterday that I need to bring ds out and he can pack the old flooring and such out of the house... yes we do need to do that but... ugh that's just dad. I need to help.. not let him demand.. where is the balance 😕 🤔

I'm not tiling the rest of the floor alone. Maybe I will assign ds to the carrying. Find out where dad would like the couple of end table things he was going to donate. Declutter his hall closet and make a storage spot for his Sheets. At least tidy up my old bedroom.

I was going to plant today. Now it's wet. And dh ended up spending quite a bit of Thursday at the church again. He didn't have time to till again. Oh well. We'll see what the weather looks like later. We definitely need the rain.

So nice to hear the painting project is complete and looks nice, Kitty. Oh dear on whatever is going on with the roof.
Enjoy the garden party, trissie! OMG - that focaccia sounds to die for! 😋
kitkat, we didn't get as much rain as forecast this morning. I don't know if that means the storm is saving it for you as it moves east or it's just not dropping as much as expected.
Lauralind, are you laying tile at your dad's house? That sounds like a big job.

It is a gray and dreary day, cool - 50s. We got some rain this morning, but not the huge deluge that was forecast.

Last night, dh and I enjoyed dinner out together! I just vegged in the evening. Dd27 was here with her friend packing for a backpacking trip they're taking today - Tuesday, up north. Michiganders generally go up north to the UP (Upper Peninsula) for nature-y experiences. :)

So far today, I've had my coffee and had a lot of exchanges with AC, some about work and some about life. :D I had another potential Japanese student sign up for an EPT on Wednesday. I don't know yet if this one is a high school student, like a couple have been, or one of the employees of the Japanese company that are entering our school. I've also gotten the kitchen tidied, am running the dw, did some pupa in MBR, and ordered a pair of comfy (I hope) walking shoes that I could also wear to eat out at a nice restaurant in Europe.

I'm going to WF first. I'm worried they won't have enough branzini if I wait too long.

Next:
- WF
- put away groceries
- back exercises
- dress to jog
- JOG - going for 3.5 miles (gradually increasing length)

Later:
- s2s and self care
- squeegee and wipe down shower
- make bed
- WF run - for dinner party
- lunch
- after lunch clean up
- run dw and empty later
- dust living areas
- tidy puzzle/ craft table
- tidy MBR
- s/s main bathroom
- payroll: progress on S5 course overviews
- payroll: curriculum review
- finish book
- help dh cook: roasted coffee-rubbed branzini, rice, mixed veggies (Rs and Gs are bringing salad and dessert)
- 5:30 - ? host dinner with the Rs and Gs
- after dinner clean up
- duolingo
- update health apps
- update lists
- other things?

TaDas!
- up; weighed myself - much higher than yesterday but we went to a restaurant last night. I'm going to use this weight for my weekly check in though bc yesterday's may not be accurate (too low)
- cofee
- message exchanges with AC
- email deletions + weather website
- kitchen reclaimed; dw running
- ordered shoes
- list for WF made

Helian yes. Tiling at dad's. A couple weeks ago. But not all me. Ds27 was doing it. With me helping. We tried but ran out of day to finish it. There's like 2 rows left right by the door. It is not happening today. Ds wants to finish his own first. Close and maybe really close by the end of the weekend. Today is cleaning up from the rest of the flooring. Moving the old stuff out. I think the hardest part is dad took on more than he can physically do and realized that after he had it started. We all knew that and couldn't change his mind. He started and then we all had to help. Desperately need to downsize him ASAP. I think I have a bad attitude about too. I don't want to very badly... and some of that really wasn't necessary. More necessary is getting rid of stuff...

Ugh sorry I'm ranting again. Pure frustration. Skip if you wish.

I can't concentrate on much atm should just get up and do something productive. A shower might help.

Shower
S&s both baths and reboot laundry
Tidy laundry room and master bedroom some

Empty and reload dw
Finish tidying kitchen all the way
Sweep everywhere

Rant away, Lauralind. We're safe here. It's hard seeing your parents age, and his care overflows into your life. Did you get going on house tasks?
Is the cruise connected to your Hawaii trip, L Ann, or is it another adventure? Enjoy reading!
Are you having an indoor day, kitkat?

I got out in the drizzle for a 3.5 mile jog - very slow. My running watch stopped running (ha ha!) right at the halfway point, so I'm not even sure of my pace, not that it matters much. I did it! I don't need to jog tomorrow.

I am not going to get to any payroll today. That's OK. I can make some progress tomorrow. It is now 3:47 and I just got home from my 2nd trip to WF. They didn't have enough branzini earlier, so I placed an order and they called me when it was ready. Dinner guests arrive at 5:30. I still need to shower, do a little house spiffing, and then help dh with cooking.

Next:
- s2s and self care
- squeegee and wipe down shower
- make bed

Later:
- s2s and self care
- squeegee and wipe down shower
- make bed
- run dw and empty later

Thanks helian. It's comforting knowing a good portion of us have been through this situation. I'm trying to do it anyway sometimes cause most of the time I don't want to. Its better now except my car is full. The trunk is full of the sheets and bedding and a bin that all have to land at my sister's place. Tomorrow maybe.. but we found the floor in both the bedrooms. He threw things in both rooms..

I did get the kitchen cleaned and swept the floors. I'm ready to vacuum when I feel like moving again. I should find something else to eat yet.

Back home

Lunch and coffee
Switch laundry start next load
Vacuum everywhere

At dad's

Ds moved tile
I packed up mom's laundry to bring
Put a bunch of bedding in the car
Decluttered bottom of the closet threw out their old bedding set and found a baby puzzle for Lil j and a couple knitting bags
Vacuum upstairs
Took dad to his neighbor friend to bring gas for his other truck and get it back home

Shower
S&s both baths and reboot laundry
Tidy laundry room and master bedroom some

Empty and reload dw
Finish tidying kitchen all the way
Sweep everywhere
