I actually have something to tell! DGD woke me a little after 9:00 a.m. and she ate ice cream for breakfast. Don't judge. What happens at Nana's stays at Nana's. Then she was ready to go home.
I took her home, went to the post office -- got a $48 check from the IRS :D and a credit card bill  -- and the bank statement :( which I need to reconcile with checkbook and I hate doing that. I went to the bank, deposited that check, and then treated myself to French toast and a cherry Dr Pepper at the Sonic drive-in.
Now -- back home -- despite temptation to go back to sleep -- I only recorded 6 1/2 hours sleep and an "ok" sleep score of 77 (Well, the other app says 6 hrs 53 min and a "readiness" score of 50 -- who knows? ) ANYWAY --
I did NOT go back to sleep!
* I stripped the bed and the sheets are now in the dryer!
* I vacuumed the carpet/rugs in the main area of the house! (15 minutes, almost exactly.)
* I have the throw rug in the washer now (I keep a throw rug in front of the couch, because a lot of food is eaten there and the main rug is very light colored.)
* I drank my Metamucil (Ugh. I still hate doing that.)
* I did my daily Bible reading.

I also spent a little too much time on FB. But for my next three tricks I will be attempting to
* reconcile the checkbook
* do one folder from the Nokbox
* put the sheets back on the bed

My back hurts so I am taking a break from vacuuming but later, I will finish the hardwood and kitchen/bath/laundry floors.

DMIL is home and allowed to do whatever she wants. I'm sure their dog will be happy to see her.

Our stereo is still on, meaning dh hasn't turned the TV on all day!! He slept until the PSW came, then he went outside and then his friend showed up. Almost as soon as the friend left, the other person showed up. She is so excited to have a large raised garden to plant in. She will come by tomorrow or the next day with a bunch of veggie plants to plant in "her" garden.

DONE -- reconcile the checkbook -- and this is pretty depressing, I can tell y'all. My next thing is going to be figuring out where my money is going!
DONE -- do one folder from the Nokbox
DONE -- put the sheets back on the bed
ALSO DONE --
-- finished vacuuming the hard floors and put away all the board games that were stored under the coffee table
-- walked 30 minutes while talking to ds on the phone, and sprayed some Round-up on the driveway -- it needs repaving but -- see first line above
-- washed dishes that were sitting in the sink while talking to dmom
-- ate supper (chicken noodle soup)
-- spent some more time on FB -- see J&C, the child with cancer is just constantly on my mind and I keep looking for updates. Apparently he will be able to get back to his treatments tomorrow.

I have not read the paper today. I need to shower and get in the bed and try to relax my brain.

LucyLee, re the "ice cream for breakfast" question, I thought the link below would amuse you (and provide validation! ) Background information, we're having.a heatwave in the UK- where I live in the SW we reached 32C (90F) yesterday, and some parts of the country were well over 90F. Also we're not really used to these temperatures, especially so early in the year, and most homes don't have A/C.
