Good morning :)
Another fine artist - thank you trissie
Hope it's a good day for you and the heat is tolerable.

Kittykatt - thank you - our relationship with Dmom was good - she lived with us for more than 30 years. It was the other side of the fam... Dh's brothers/SIL's... therefore the kids never established a relationship.
Oh well, I'm thankful they are doing better with their own children:)

FFly - just learned something: I never heard of the Anna Karenina principle. Thanks.

Dogged FINALLY! I was so happy to read you got the package. You'll do fine with the assembly!

LAnn is it hot by you?

helia Congratulations to DD.

Temp. will reach 26 today, so I'd better get out with Dpup. Lists and such will need to wait:)

Morning all. It's slowly warming up here. We've gotten some much needed rain over the last few days. I didn't even look at the forecast today. Sunny through the clouds atm.

Yikes on the heat kittykat and frenchie. Especially when you are not really set up for it.

Doggedly I know you can do it. I feel like you're going to come here next sitting in your newly assembled chair. That is really frustrating how long it took for them to drop it off. Would it not be in the way in the van to keep it cause they don't want to handle it? Oh well you got it.

Hmmm. I am extremely grateful today is physio day. Between my arm and neck and I don't know what flared but it was a painful ibs flare up. Just very painful gas. I've been in a lot of pain the last week. Casper needs adjustment to his training again. And thankfully ds was doing some research on what might cause it. Spicy.. tomato sauce stuff. I've been doing really well that way for a long time. Moving helps but I come back from work and crash for a bit. Then Casper decides to pull off on a run. I wish it didn't cost thousands to build a fence.

Think I can plant today. At least the seed stuff. I should get to the greenhouse for flowers. A few groceries. General tidy. Maybe visit with H. That's been hard to do lately. Some challenges came up. Oh and my physio is 11.

As for now the headache is coming on again. Need to finish qt. Do some General tidy. School run.

☀️Good morning!
I’ve been doom scrolling for way too long this morning so it feels like a triple dog dare kind of day. I hope all is well with you. I’ll try to catch up as we go.
Life is crazy here, dd1 moved home last month-ish, found a boyfriend (they went to high school together but never really met so their reunion brought them together), and started a new job this week. Dd2 graduated and moved to a new city for an internship. We couldn’t help due to dhs injury but dd1 and her bf rented a U-Haul and did the grunt work. Dh has been a fixture in his bedroom content with me waiting on him, taking on his chores plus more, that’s going to change in increments as he is able. It’s a fracture, not an amputation, and even then people somehow manage to move around and get out and about.

To do:
Weigh
D2S
Coffee and something light to eat

Hi, all. It feels so good to wake up with no pressure to scramble for anything. :D I am meeting one of my bffs for dinner at a restaurant very close to my apartment late this afternoon. After that, it is my other bff's stitch n bitch a short drive in the other direction. In the meantime, I must take everything out of the box to ensure that it's not missing any pieces, and shower/wash hair so that I am fit to be seen in public. Beyond that, take Germane outside and clean everything in sight as much as possible. That will keep me out of mischief.

Germane has had her heart pill and we are waiting for the hour waiting period to be over, so that we can sample her slow cooker. I filled the big one with turkey legs, potatoes and vegetables, and there will be plenty of broth to soak rice for her as well.

Ice cream is a particularly tasty way to combat the heat, Kittykatt.

I'm sorry that you also have the excessive heat, and for no word on the new job, FrenchFly.

Thank you, FrenchFly, helia and kitkat. I know that it's a little thing to receive a parcel, but it feels like freedom.

That's an early start for a not-fun reason, L.Ann. I hope that the plumber came promptly and solved the problem.

Congratulations to your dd, helia. :)
I hope that your sub class goes well.

I think that we are weather twins, kitkat. I'm not worried about taking Germane out in the heat as I carry her over the hot pavement and set her down in the shade here and there. Very different from walking a young Labrador!

Lauralind, I'm sorry to hear about your health problems.
Don't hold your breath on the chair assembly. You don't know how really bad I am at this stuff. It once took me three days to get a babygate installed for my dogs. I would still be trying to drill into the very hard hardwood of railings' frame if it were not for a coworker gently explaining to me that drills have a reverse as well as forward and that I might check that the button is not next to "R".

Ah, I see that the plumber has come, L.Ann. :)

Welcome back, Bama. You have a lot on your plate! Your dds are so grown up now. It's hard to wrap my head around. I hope that your DH is able to take some part of the load soon. I'm picturing physio exercises along the lines of "Now we stretch up, up, up and run that dust rag over the top shelf, gradually release and wipe the next shelf", Now we are going to put our hand on that furniture for support and bend aaaalll the way down and scoop that cat litter." ;)

oh, we're so weather twins, kittykatt!
Dogged, glad you finally got the chair and crossing my fingers it's an easy assembly and a great sit!
Sorry you haven't heard from the job, at least a "nope" would have been nice, Frenchie! I really enjoyed Musée d'Orsay - but I think your boys would enjoy Monet's gardens even better :-) It's in Normandy, so maybe you've already been there?

Home from work. I've already done my share of relaxing/procrastinating, so time to get productive!

TaDas
- morning madness
- snacks etc
- morning routine
- load of darks sorted and delay started
- work
- help DBD ready her stuff for scout session
- see her off the door

ToDos
- midday routine
- clean kitchen
- 15 on laundry

Welcome back, trissie. I'm glad that you were able to work in some time to relax. :)

Wednesday
Picked up Germane’s food
Gave Germane her heart pill
CUOP
Fed Germane: today’s casserole is a bed of turkey flavoured potatoes and root vegetables, layers of dog food and salmon, topped with probiotic. Chef’s kiss!
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Washed some dishes
Spot cleaned the kitchen floor, as Germane’s preferred dining style is to wander around with food dropping out of her mouth
Rescued the second rice cooker from the dw that I never got around to running. I need it to cook white rice for Germane, as the other is full of the grains mix for me.
Put it in to soak
Reloaded the dw
Scrubbed out rice cooker
Put more dishes in to soak
Cleaned up after dog

I loved the Luxembourg Gardens with Rodin in Paris, trissie - and, just about everything else... What a city!
Ah, you are such a good doggie -mom, Dogged:)

Bama - just remember, things don't stay the same. There will be improvement with DH. This will be just a (bad) memory one day.
In the meantime, (((((((((((((((((()))))))))))))))))))

Lauralind hope you are feeling better (and, Casper cooperates)

LAnn enjoy the gardening:)

Pup had her walk. (note to self: need to start earlier)
Had her rest for an hour before I served breakfast. (Deadly fear of bloat - just give me a reason to worry, and I'll do my very best)
Sat through DH's phone appt. with Dr. (Corrected all the mistakes... - it was not appreciated by DH  but the Dr liked it)
Fixed a drawer that would not close - found the reason: my long lost workout clothes stuck behind
Made the shopping list for tomorrow's cake, found the Bundt pan

Off to get supplies - BIAB

lol Dogged. Ironically I had asked his pcp about physical/occupational therapy right before this so it’s on hold but it will happen. Yay for your delivery. Enjoy your s&b.

KitKat, it’s nice to know I’m not the only spouse the doctors look at while asking questions.

Done:
Coffee and eat, fix dh something too
Weigh and dress
Log meals
Help dh set up work comp site and join, left him with the request to touch base and see what to do next as he hasn’t been paid in several weeks and regular plus new medical bills are rolling in, looks like claim is filed so that’s a start
Emails

Do:
Bible
Paper chores
Water

Double win, kitkat--you fixed the drawer and it rewarded you with exercise clothes. :D

That is reassuring that the claim has been started, Bama. I hope the compensation starts arriving soon.

I've been lounging and made a breakfast of rice/grains and vegetables. Onward and showered!
