RR - Thank you for that information. It started me down a rabbit hole
I did go to buildasoil and calculated how much I would need to fill one of the 11 raised beds. It was $5,529.60. Eeek!
DS17 brought home another pickup to work on. OF COURSE HE DID. Last night he had 5 friends with him in the shop. The teens are entertained by playing music and talking while taking the diesel motor apart. At least it is keeping them busy and out of trouble.

I had to go buy red peppers from the store today. I found one pack that had 3 reds and 1 orange pepper, (prepackaged) There weren't any loose red peppers, but it was late in the afternoon and the produce area looked like it had been ransacked. I also bought 1 green pepper. Total price for 5 peppers was just over $5. I used the entire orange pepper, part of a red and part of the green. The rest are going into the freezer.
Dh has done his meds.

I am faithful to organic (bagged) soil to add here, and organic fertilizer purchases. However, in my flower beds, what about the pretty kale or other pretty veggie plants I might like to intersperse - would they be affected by the flower PLANTS with their existing soil that I've purchased and transplanted there that were grown in greenhouses, etc.?
I'd have to assume they would have been in contact with SOME kind of non-organic product sometime, no matter how charming or locally grown. So, does that compromise the flower bed and suggest that I shouldn't eat veggies from it? How perfect can I be ... .. How perfect are the producers who sell to my groceries... ..
Completely swept the back porch and steps, front porch. Back porch is a much bigger project here, screened porch.
I've sprayed all with foliar fertilizer this evening and watered one bed.

Evening and conference is done here. I went to a closing reception for donors and received a pin as a donor. I had a snack at the bar this evening and sat down next to a KY genealogist and had a wonderful conversation with him. Dh says I’m an extrovert at genealogy conferences; it’s that I’m talking to people with common interests.
Organized my room to pack in the morning quickly. I have to see how I feel tomorrow driving. It’s possible that I’ll drive home 8 plus hrs. It’s more likely I’ll drive tomorrow, stop tomorrow evening, and be home on Monday midday.
At the luncheon today I met up with a friend from when I first started going to genealogy institutes. It was so good to reconnect with her.

I’m still here.
Dgs has been very quiet today and I have slept a lot.
Long week ahead.
I will try to involve Dgd in routines and see what we can accomplish.
