Good morning Kittykatt! Thanks for the start - Love the quote - don't know the tea:)
(Finger is better than yesterday, rather swollen and bruised but less pain - thank you.)
Is the bite all healed?
I'm just as curious as trissie about FFly's job...
trissie glad you are taking advantage of the patio.

Going to take pup for quick walk
bake the bread
go to gym
then take it from there:)

Kitty, you inspired me so I just ordered some Lapsang Souchong tea! Dfil would drink a smoky flavored tea in the Netherlands, which I loved, but I couldn't find it here. Maybe this is it? Great SHEM by a great author.
trissie, I had to laugh at myself because I totally misread your comment yesterday: "So I watched the trailer for Sheep detectives and it's not for small kids, so baby I will have to wait." I thought you were saying that YOU would have to wait and used "baby" as kind of a slang-y intensifier term and just forgot a comma between "baby" and "I". I assumed you were talking about DBD as a small kid - but then I was confused bc you've watched scarier movies with her. LOL! I realized my mistake last night. Sounds like a great film - and a great cast. I'll keep an eye out for it. I'm not familiar with that play.
FFB, I don't put fresh produce or meat in my online orders. Glad ds10 had a good trip and he's back safely.
Enjoy the walk and freshly baked bread, kitkat. Take care of your hand.

*Small rant* Dh is volunteering us to host dinner for CG2 on Monday. I'm NOT thrilled because we're hosting 5 extra people in our house starting Thursday afternoon - Monday morning, and I'm planning to try to be a good hostess and provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner to everyone for the days they're at my house. And the Ks will be joining us as they can, which means I'll actually be providing meals for 6 extra adults. (I won't worry about baby I in terms of meals - just space. :D ) Dinner here Friday night will be 15 people. Dh says he'll help with dinners while we have houseguests, and he claims that I don't have to do anything for our guests for breakfast or lunch. :?: Really? IMHO, that's not the way it will play out in reality. . . . Back to Monday night - thus, I'm not thrilled about cooking for another group of people this week. Dh says he'll cook or have take out food, so I won't have to. I also don't have a lot of time on Monday to shop as that is the one day in 2 weeks I actually have to go in to payroll for 3 hours in the afternoon. . .

kittykatt we have rain too. I see what you mean about forget-me-nots, I'm relieved to know you don't just want to get rid of them altogether, they are such a lovely, delicate flower.

trissie thanks for the movie recommendation, I will look it up.

kitkat that wound sounds like ti needs to be taken good care of. Pup walk, baking bread and gym, that's already a very full day to me.

helia I hope you enjoy the tea. Sorry for the very full Monday...

No news from the job opportunity. The lady on the phone explained she had taken notes and was transferring it to the recruiting team, and then, if they select me, I will be asked for an interview in person. Either they didn't select me, or they're taking a lot of time.
I just got back from the shopping trip and picking up the grocery order. It took an hour and a half, but it was supposed to be just a quick trip to the store and then we pick up the groceries and back home... I took some time deciding whihc hair dye color was the best... Another lady was taking her time too and she asked me if I could give her advice, I said regrettably no, I was new to the subject of hair dye, then she said "oh, yes, all right" or something, like she just realized I had lots of gray hair showing... My DSis Younger advised me to use the "mousse" (foam?) version instead of the usual dye, so I picked the brand she uses.
Not sure I will have time to dye my hair any time soon. I don't want to make a mess, and I wonder what it looks like afterwards...

TADAs
MrNG left for his afternoon of consulting
fed the three of us
off the door to the large store
picked produce, hair dye, this and that
picked up the grocery order
back home, got help to carry the bags inside :)
put everything away, had to make space in some cupboards / drawers

TODOs
short break, maybe a cup of Lapsang Souchong
start a lol
if no rain, some dandelion busting
lol on drying rack
look online for some posters for the boys bedrooms (they asked)
store-bought pizza for family movie night
cuop...

Morning all! I have about an hour before I need to leave for Little Bit’s birthday party. Cooking went well, kittykatt, although Little Bit questioned calling it that since they didn’t actually cook! They were food explorers and decorated really cute explorer hats with fruit and veggie stickers. She said her favorite thing was a coconut roll and she found an orange pepper she liked.

1-update lists
2-refill bird feeders
3-dust and trash

4-double check meal kits

Menus:

Morning all. Interesting teas this week. Never heard of some of them.

That is a good shem. I'll have to remember that.

Ohh gma what a lot of care you are providing for your df.

Forget me nots.. I might have to get some seeds. The other one that's gonna come up and figure how to move is the malva. They act like a weed in my garden bed cause I let them reseed. Now I gotta convince them to take where I want them.

And what we do for our pets kitkat. Yikes on your hand. I haven't done that one yet but so close. Squirrel... crazy dog. Or cat or bear or.. something else that makes them go off. Last night it was my neighbors outside later than usual. Casper is getting back that pleading eye look of come on mom let's go . He talks with his eyes saying walk. I've kinda enjoyed the 8 pm walk except it's dragging me out after a busy work day. The neighbors were working on a project.. the ones that walk by and talk to him outside. His friends 😆. He bolted on his rope and took off to say hello 😆. They don't mind but that's how I get hurt...

Anyway.. Saturday. What to do with my day off. Let's see. I have music prep which is just practice the songs. Make a potato salad for lunch at church tomorrow. Some cleaning. Outside stuff. And then figure out supper around my sister's game. A newish game she plays. Roller derby. It's impossible to describe. Kinda rugby like in tackle to get through and then run laps ... on Roller blades. She has a game here. At 530... so I need supper quick after or in the instant pot and done..

Ds.. how to.... I need to see if I can get him talking today. One big step is his learners drivers he accomplished this week. Now he can learn to drive. Next step. Figure out school. I am so done with this high school and so is he. He has this week of school. Grad is next weekend. Then exams pretty much. Something is up with his science class. He usually says if he would be fully trying he could get 💯. Well yesterday he said he was 80. And they're not even gonna get through all the material. Almost made it to school and then he got visibly upset so I took him home again. He's really frustrated. Missed at least a day a week. this week 2 days just cause he is tired and frustrated and doesn't have much to catch up.. So almost there.

What do I do? I could just switch him fully to online. He has new friends he wants to keep connecting with. Some of his individual sports he could still participate in. I think he will succeed with the learning style without the classroom distractions. Just not sure if he can do it while I still work 4 days a week. And actually be diligent enough. A better education but minimal social and he would be even more stuck in the house. Gotta find a good fit for work. Keep the sports connection. And friends. He is so high functioning but so hard.

Today's job is figure out how to get words out of him. Without completely shut down. High functioning autism is hard.

Well I guess I start with go uncover my plants and water. I don't think it froze but too close again.

Finish qt.
General straighten.
Laundry
Kitchen

Wow sorry. You guys are like my get my thoughts out. To me writing that out I have my answer except the social bit that is the biggest part. Meaning communication.. and effort.. and connections.

lauralind, those are some tough decisions... but I think learning to do social interactions is more important at this age than actual academic knowledge. but that's just me...
L.Ann, Lil Bit gets to do all sorts of fun things!
Frenchie, don't know about France, but the HR people here have very bad reputation for never getting back to you... a friend of mine had a headhunter call to him a year later!
helia, men have really strange ideas sometimes! just this week, my own (male) therapist was like "so why are you upset that you are basically a single mother of four? I mean, your kids are grown, and your husband does not ask you to take care of his mother, so really, what is your problem?" - and DS15's (female) therapits when I told her about the situation was like "oh dear, you could really use a spa retreat right now to destress, right?" Men just sometimes don't get it!

I agree trissie. But when he is losing his motivation over bad teacher and low standards and such I don't know what to think.

Oh boy yes men just don't get it. You've got your hands full with more than 1 kid like mine.. and the parent struggles... yup I get it.

Well my watering system is on. Bedding in the wash. I stuck a few cucumber seeds in the planter cause they disliked the transplant I think.

Next

Get dressed properly apparently skip shower
S& s both baths
Tidy laundry room some
Empty and reload dw
Finish tidying kitchen all the way

I truly should have "parked" the starter in the fridge knowing my schedule this week... but, it was too goodlooking
It's doing its job - dough looks really good.

Back from gym - will CUOP in a while - I have DKids coming and must keep an eye on the dough - and the laundry.

starting lol

I lost a post with my list for the day.

No one is going to pull the wool over Little Bit's eyes, L Ann! LOL! Sounds like fun but not exactly cooking. Have fun at the party.
YUM on the future fresh homemade bread, kitkat. WTG with the class and enjoy time with the kids.
That's funny about the male v. female therapist, trissie! I think my dh's social skills and awareness are unusually high for a man, but there are still moments.
That sounds hard, Lauralind, with ds. I hope you get some down time today.
Family movie night and pizza sounds fun, FFB. I wonder if you will like the hair dye? I get mine highlighted maybe once a year. My hair stylist is a good friend. She does it with several different shades to help hide the gray that is slowly creeping in. I'm blond-ish, more brownish now, I'd say. All the colors blend together well.

I'm back from a very hot and sweaty jog. But I did it - 3.5 miles. 🥵 I've cooled off now, but I need to hop in the shower.

Next:
- finish lunch
- s2s and self care
- squeegee and wipe down shower

Later:
- make bed
- refill bird feeder
- return shoes
- buy pillows
- WF: a couple items
- put away papers by printer
- pay snail mail bills
- darks: w d f pa
- lights: w d f pa
- towels: fold and pa
- start on play room clean up??
- make guest beds in upstairs guest room?
- update goodreads
- dinner: leftovers, extra tomato sauce, rice, veggie
- after dinner clean up
- duolingo
- update health apps
- read??

TaDas!
- up; weighed self; dressed to jog
- coffee
- discussed a Bible passage with dh
- ordered tea + tea infusers
- payroll: work email
- back exercises
- jog
- texts with ds while jogging; convo with friend I ran into (ha ha! almost literally  ) on the path; we will hopefully arrange a couples date in July
