In case y'all are keeping score, in the last week or so I have had
* the handle fall off the toilet
* the bed slats broke
* the car door began unlocking itself while it is sitting in parking lots (and randomly while driving)
* the dryer is acting a little strange, although it did dry my sheets nicely (there seems to be condensation in it, maybe that's normal with the humidity we're having.)
* the roof expense still making me panic every time I look at my checkbook
and now the renter is having ac trouble.
I called my cousin's husband who runs his own heat and air business and has helped ds and me out in the past, is fairly reasonably priced, and is highly respected and recommended by others on FB. He said he would go by there in the morning. I do pray it is an easy fix, because the lady of the house is 90 years old and has emphysema. DS and I talked -- if we have to replace the unit, we will just have to raise the rent on this house, even though dh promised them he would not do that. But I'm jumping ahead of myself, and maybe it will be a simple thing that will not be too costly.
The laundry is done, all hanging to dry, clean sheets on the bed... I am contemplating whether or not to switch sides of the bed to ensure it all stays in place... and I guess next week I will take on the problem of the car door. But hey, I might be driving around in a Corvette while it's in the shop.
