WTG on getting your house guest-ready, Lauralind. I imagine that is a load off of your mind.
Don't the piccolo and the flute point in different directions? I would find that confusing, like driving on the other side of the road.

Gma, I'm glad that your df is comfortable, and that you have time to work on your own priorities.

I have showered and washed my hair and Germane is campaigning for something better than rice and broth/not dog food. I'll go and cook some salmon for her, and tackle the duck in the big slow cooker.

This is a small concert band. Similar to orchestra. I wonder though do some orchestra have vocal. We played all the same songs as the spring festival. Jazzy one and a couple of overture big movie theme style. There are a few new ones for next year that are gonna be wok but so much fun. Show off the trombone in one. And one song made me want to attempt oboe. Absolutely beautiful Arabian night song.

Doggedly no piccolo is same direction as flute only like a third the length. Barely room between the hands and fingers. Opposite would be something else..

Germane has a pretty high expectation of cuisine. She knows what is good for her I guess.

Gma I bet that feels good accomplishing your own place. I definitely found a lot of dirt and evidence of pets moving furniture around. Ewew. Be nice to know those rugs are as clean as you can get them. Glad your friend is comfortable.

I did flip my dining room too. Moved the big table to the inside wall and athe plants by the window got a different table. Now I have the 2varm chairs looking like they are supposed to be there some adjustment needed and I think I'm going to have Declutter a corner in the office for the fig. This big sectional is making my house need less furniture.

Lauralind, I'll bet that you bring people real pleasure with your band. I know how much I appreciated the orchestra from our next suburb, giving a concert at such a low price that we could all afford it.
It sounds like your house is coming together, ready for guests.
In the end, I couldn't face the duck. My back got cranky, and that duck weighed almost as much as Germane before I added water to the slow cooker. I cooked her a piece of sole and she accepted that with her rice and broth.

We share your humidity, Gma. Our temperature has come down, but I still have the air conditioner on to dehumidify.

I think that this is my last posting for the night. Have a good one!

Wednesday
Realized that the air conditioner had peed on the floor, and that it went in multiple directions, including off of the linoleum to the wood floor
Spent an hour and a half in the wee hours of the morning cleaning that up and setting up a system of pee pads to catch it in the future
Bed
Gave Germane her heart pill
Put on a pot of coffee
Cleaned up after Germane: her own pee pads
Washed that part of the floor
Swapped out kitchen cloths
Moved the external speaker from the Linux PC, which doesn’t recognize it at all, to the laptop which is too quiet: successful. It meant giving up access to the external keyboard and mouse. I’m currently being driven crazy by my replacement mouse after breaking the good one yesterday, so not as great a loss as it might otherwise be.
Cleaned up after dog
Online shopping
Showered/washed hair
Gave Germane saucers of rice and broth
Batched up the duck broth and veg, and the tomato seafood slow cookers
Washed Germane’s eyes
Cleaned up after GermaneWashed some dishes
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Washed some dishes
Bagged up kitchen garbage and dumped it
Cooked some fish for Germane
FACE: set up list for July and finished updating June. Paid bills.

What a beautiful duck to start the day.
Doggedly, Germane eats better than I do! you are so good to her.
I started my day with blueberry pancakes at home :) it's been a while since I made those.
Then spent 8 full hours helping dfBS -
 at her house for getting oxygen supplies picked up that she no longer needs at home since she's now at a care center.
 Then sorting through multiple piles of paper that needed some organization (since I am so good at that (NOT) it took me several hours, but I did get her K countertop/area she used as a desk sorted through and it will be a blessing to whoever has to go through her "stuff" to do her taxes and finances next year. Plus I had one file for "before 2026" for older stuff that I didn't sort.
 Getting a box ready to send back to remote monitoring people with BP cuff, oximeter, scale, reporting tablet.
 Drive to next city so it could be sent UPS
 Gathered mail to take to dfbS so she could pay her bills and decide what needs to be saved, filed (in my new filing system for her  ), tossed, or shredded
 visited with her at care center - she moved to a private room today.
 back to her house to file/ toss/ recycle the mail we dealt with at the care center.

Had a wonderful conversation with dbro. He rehabbed a house, and someone signed a contract today to buy it. He's happy, made a little money, improved the neighborhood greatly, and has it off his responsibility list.
Ate supper of leftover hotdish, taken from mother's freezer; trying to eat from that when I can.
Did a row on the summer shawl I am making for myself, and hope to finish before summer is over!!!
set up my own meds and eye vitamins for the next 2 weeks -

Didn't have much activity - low number of steps on Fitbit - hope I can sleep tonight
