Congratulations to ⚡ Spain ⚡

and in a way, in our family, to WonderBoy, who has had to explain to most of us what to think, lol. Although he was not so much a fan as a student of the game who said Spain was not going to be stoppable, in his opinion. After all the focus on the officials, I'm glad he doesn't want to continue on that thankless route and get fussed at more and more. But I'm happy for him that his favored sport could receive so much attention while he is young and playing, refereeing. Happy to remember the t-shirts we've bought him over the years, lol, not knowing what else he would want.

Mystery, thanks for the extra work (smile) from someone who really appreciates the recording/play of services. You really caught a potential problem there before it caused any trouble.

Nancy, you and I are a pair for rigging our seating/sewing to suit ourselves.

LadyM, what a great visit with your ds52 on a special occasion.

blessed, I hope you enjoy your new couch. A big decision.

Yes, happily the package delivery was finally straightened out.
Also, I did order a present for grandchild bday on Tuesday. Came down to the last minute, though, because I couldn't get a call back for opinion. This was on a gift list from February, so I have my doubts that it is still of as much interest, but I have to do something if I'm going to manage wrapping the gift.

Happy anniversary to Lord and LadyM! * Whew * I got here before midnight, LOL!

It has been a quiet Sunday here -- except for the weather which gave us a lot of thunder and the hardest rain we've had in a long time -- the kind of rain that blows sideways, you know. My front porch is 8' deep, I think and almost never gets wet in rainstorms, but it was covered with the rain! I was talking on the phone to dmom and got cut off several times. I finally told her, "I give up! Apparently the Lord thinks we've said all we need to say!"

DDIL told me both kids were coming home with her and DS today, "no ifs, ands, or buts." I don't think she is upset with me about anything; I think she just wants to keep a closer watch on dgs. I wish she would call the doctor tomorrow, but y'all know, the more grandma says, the less adult children listen. DGS was at church, but he is still throwing up this afternoon. This is very concerning to me, but ddil says yes, we will still plan on celebrating his and her birthdays tomorrow night.

Church was nice -- I was afraid I would fall asleep (because I did NOT sleep well last night AT ALL. However, I think it is going to be hard to sleep with this pastor. He is very enthusiastic and has much more energy to his delivery than former pastor. I think I told y'all that last week, dgs almost told him, "It's been so long since we've had a good sermon." ROFLOL...
Today a few people from the pastor's home church (in Next Town) were visiting with us, "just to support him," they said. One couple was one of my dad's best friends and his wife, so it was nice to see them. The pastor's parents were also at church again, and another couple who are members of the Baptist church in town. One of my friends said to me, "They are Baptists, aren't they?" I said, "Yes, but so were we!" (She and I both grew up in Baptist churches.)

I did, however, sleep after eating lunch. I ordered take-out -- a hamburger steak and baked potato from local steak house. (And noticed that DS and family were eating there also! I'm not going to take this personally either. DS is not often home on Sundays, so I'm sure they needed a little time to themselves. He was out of town Saturday and Sunday, so he probably needed to spend some time with DGS also.) Then I took a LONG nap, and afterwards, I've done very little. Filled out my planner for the week.
Tomorrow -- must get oil change, birthday party at 6:00 at my house.
Tuesday -- volleyball
Wednesday -- yoga, council meeting at church
Thursday -- volleyball
Friday -- DGD spend the night
Saturday -- DGS spend the night

Hope you all have a great week!
Tomorrow is another day.
